And they are encouraged to see the Justice Department and FBI making this a priority. Then they stay in Virginia, where Gov. Youngkin recently vetoed nearly 160 bills from the Democrat-controlled legislature. The rejected measures covered gun control, a minimum wage hike, restricted speech outside abortion clinics, and a sweeping “environmental justice” agenda, among others. With a governor's race looming, Jim warns that Democrats will push these policies into law if they perform well in November. Finally, they enjoy Texas Rep. The U.S. Supreme Court has sided with Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin to allow the state to continue purging voter registrations flagged as potential non-citizens just days before the election. Virginia has been removing voters based on Department of Motor Vehicle data, leading to the cancellation of over 1,600 registrants. But many critics say the system is flawed. The Supreme Court's conservative majority ruled in favor of the program without explanation. This, despite lower courts blocking it to prevent eligible citizens from being taken off the rolls. Voters who discover they're being removed can re-register and vote on election day using same-day registration. In the wake of the decision, the NAACP called an emergency briefing to mobilize local advocates and leaders about how this is connected to broader election subversion efforts and how the organization plans to work to ensure that purged voters are re-registered and able to cast effective ballots. Americans have a responsibility to be civically engaged in their communities and when it comes to solving social challenges, faith-based communities have the best track record, according to Stacy Blakeley, the CEO of The Policy Circle. During a study examining the foster care and refugee crises today, The Policy Circle, a nonprofit dedicated to encouraging civic engagement, discovered that “faith-based groups [be they Christian, Jewish, or other] had a remarkable ability to solve for the social challenges in our communities,” Blakeley tells "The Daily Signal Podcast." This begs the question, according to Blakeley, why are faith communities “so much more effective, for instance, than a government program?” That question led The Policy Circle to launch the Faith and Civic Life Initiative to explore the role religious organizations can, and should, play in addressing some of America's greatest challenges. The new initiatives kicks off Monday with an event at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., with Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin. Blakele joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to share the unique mission and history of The Policy Circle and how Americans across the country can take part in the Faith and Civic Life Initiative.

Virginia has seen its workforce grow by 250,000 people since January 2022, which Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin and his team for their due diligence in preparing for the elections, scold the AP and other media for allowing Kamala Harris to dodge serious questions for three weeks and counting, and slamming Tim Walz for forcing his own 87-year-old mom to isolate after heart surgery during Covid.First, they applaud Virginia for doing what Jim calls the "basic blocking and tacking of government" and making sure the commonwealth's voter rolls are up to date. In doing so, officials found 80,000 dead people still eligible to vote along with more than 6,300 non-citizens. This shouldn't be that hard to update. So why isn't every state doing it?Next, they shake their heads as the media are still pandering to Kamala Harris and only offering the softest criticism for her refusal to take serious questions for more than three weeks since President Biden ended his campaign. Even worse, media outlets like the Associated Press are running stories downplaying the importance of candidates engaging in sit-down interviews. Finally, they shudder at video from the pandemic in which Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz says he made his 87-year-old mother live alone right after heart surgery because he feared negative headlines if his mom came to live with him. So instead of amending his own draconian stay-at-home orders to help his mom and to allow anyone to care for a loved one who needed assistance, he decided enforcing the shutdown orders were more important. Please visit our great sponsors:Lumenhttps://lumen.meTake the next step in improving your health. Undisputed King of Stuff, columnist, and longtime Ricochet Editor-in-Chief Jon Gabriel is in for Jim today. Jon and Greg tackle one good martini and two crazy ones to close the week.First, they cheer Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin for his veto binge on many bills passed by Democrats out of the legislature (although he should have vetoed more). In addition to nixing a minimum wage hike and numerous gun control measures, Youngkin also rejected legislation to legalize marijuana dispensaries. And Jon and Greg have plenty to say in support of Youngkin slamming the brakes on pot shops.Next, they highlight the stunning hypocrisy by New York City Councilwoman Amanda Farias, who is lamenting that more men won't step in to protect women from attackers in the city. But just last year, she publicly denounced Daniel Penny, the ex-Marine who subdued a man on the subway after making many menacing threats to other passengers. What did Farias think would happen when people doing the right thing get prosecuted? Finally, while Jon and Greg highly endorse reading the Bible, they cringe as Donald Trump endorses Lee Greenwood's God Bless the USA Bible and the website proudly proclaims that it's the only Bible endorsed by Trump. Join Jim and Greg as they once again serve up at least two good martinis, and possibly a third.First, they applaud House Speaker Mike Johnson for demanding major action on border security as part of any deal to continue aid to Ukraine. And Jim fumes that Biden could have done this deal months ago, all to his own political benefit but his refusal to acknowledge the reality at the border is costing him dearly. They also get a kick out of Hunter Biden trying to avoid his gun charges by claiming the Supreme Court's Bruen decision in 2022 means a gun buyer should no longer have to answer whether he is a current or former drug user. It's a case that puts his own interests at direct odds with his father's prioritites on the Second Amendment. Finally, they examine the deal Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin seems to have made to lure the Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards to a new home across the river from D.C. They're pleased to see most Virginia taxpayers don't appear to be on the hook for the cost but nothing is finalized yet and there are some other concerns. When rapists are made gods.Today, we pose the question: What happens when rapists are treated like gods? The answer reveals a father's arrest after he stood up to a school board that allowed a transgender rapist, the perpetrator of his daughter's assault, to remain in school. We also learn about a governor who granted a pardon to that father. Furthermore, we delve into the story of Sage, a 12-year-old girl who pretended to be a boy at school without her parents' knowledge, with school authorities complicit in the pretense. This series of events resulted in a series of sexual assaults and, ultimately, a psychotic break. Sage's heartbreaking story serves as the catalyst for Sage's Law, which is expected to pass in Virginia. What does God's Word say? Sodom & Gomorrah Isaiah 5:20Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.Episode Links:It's a privilege, not a right, to know your kid's gender identity; It's a hard truth that some kids live with parents who are transphobic. The California Democrat controlled legislature cut off a Republican lawmaker's microphone when he presented real data about teens desisting. He was speaking in opposition to #AB957, a bill which would force parents affirm their child's perceived gender identity or else risk losing custody. Here is what @J_GallagherAD3 was allowed to say before he was cut off. He was making the point that social transition might not always be the best solution for kids struggling with gender identity and that most identify with their biological sex as they became adults. One apparent anti-gun protester was yelled at, but then invited by the speaker to say his piece on the stage. The crowd yelled at him for wearing a mask and applauded him when he took it off. He expressed concern about gun violence in schools, which the speaker and crowd retorted by suggesting that arming veterans and well-trained teachers at schools would be a deterrent against active shooters. This is Sage Blair. Her school "transitioned" her to a male without letting her grandparents/adoptive parents know and encouraged her to use the boys bathroom despite her getting rape threats. This testimony from her mother/grandmother is heartbreaking. This is from when "Sage's Law" was introduced. Sage's law is a law in Sage's honor which would require schools in Virginia to disclose any sort of gender transition type info to parents.Joe Biden's staff cuts off a rambling Joe Biden mid-sentence and abruptly ends his news conference. Join Jim and Greg as they reflect upon 22 years since the horrific 9/11 attacks that significantly changed our nation in so many ways. They then tackle the first frustrating piece of news - that military prosecutors are seriously considering removing the death penalty as a possibility for 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and his co-conspirators held at Guantanamo Bay. Jim then launches a legendary scolding of New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham for brazenly violating the Constitution and unilaterally suspending the rights of citizens in her state to open or concealed carry guns. They also cheer Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin for pardoning the Loudoun County dad who was arrested for disrupting a school board meeting after his daughter was sexually assaulted by a male identifying as a female while in school and school leaders lied to him about it and repeatedly tried to cover it up. Finally, they end on the lighter side, as Greg reflects on a horrible performance by his Chicago Bears and Jim deals with the strange feeling of high expectations for his New York Jets. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.comUse code MARTINI to get 10% off your purchase.Bambeehttps://bambee.comType MARTINI under Podcast when you sign up to schedule your free conversation today.
