    The Inside Winemaking Podcast with Jim Duane is an absolute gem for anyone interested in the world of winemaking. Since starting to listen to this podcast, I have been hooked and can't get enough of Jim's natural approach to discussing the complexities of winemaking. In the first episode alone, I was captivated by the lightning round of Q&A and found myself committed to catching up with every episode as quickly as possible. This podcast has become my new hobby and I am grateful to have found such a valuable resource.

    One of the best aspects of The Inside Winemaking Podcast is Jim's ability to bring together a diverse range of guests from the wine industry. As a winemaker myself, I learn something new from each episode, whether it's from a well-known winemaker or an expert in a related field. The recent Lang and Reed episode stood out to me as particularly enjoyable, with its mix of humor, casual conversation, and informative insights. Jim does a fantastic job hosting his guests and creating an engaging atmosphere for listeners.

    The only downside to this podcast is that it can sometimes feel overwhelming for beginners or those unfamiliar with winemaking terminology. While it may be challenging to keep up with some of the technical discussions at times, I still highly recommend this podcast for its wealth of information and unique perspectives. It may be helpful for newcomers to start with episodes featuring David Grega or Robert Hunt for a more accessible introduction before diving into more advanced topics.

    In conclusion, The Inside Winemaking Podcast is an invaluable gift for wine students and professionals alike. Jim's ability to bridge theory with practicality offers a healthy dose of reality that is often missing in traditional education. This podcast goes beyond just teaching the "hows" of winemaking and delves into the "whys" behind winemakers' choices. It has become my go-to resource for expanding my knowledge in this field, and I never get bored listening to it. Whether you're a home winemaker or aspiring to be more, this podcast is a must-listen.
