Den Gemeinden, die im Sommer 2024 besonders stark betroffen waren von Hochwasser, Rutschungen und Überschwemmungen, möchte Umweltminister Albert Rösti zusätzliche 36 Millionen Franken zukommen lassen. Vernachlässigt er daneben die Prävention, also den Kampf gegen die Klimaerwärmung? Bundesrat Rösti ist gleich an mehreren Fronten gefordert: Er muss den CO2-Ausstoss der Schweiz reduzieren, was einen höheren Stromverbrauch mit sich zieht – gleichzeitig steht das mit der EU ausgehandelte Stromabkommen unter Beschuss. Und zwar von den Gewerkschaften und Röstis eigener Partei, der SVP. Müssten Haushalte noch mehr bezahlen für den Strom? Und droht uns in der Energie-Politik ein Diktat der EU? Um auch in Notlagen genügend Strom zu haben, will der Energieminister zudem fünf Reservekraftwerke. Doch auch hier steht er in der Kritik.
