As predictable as the tide that will wake him up on Edge of Extinction, Joe Anglim found himself sent home the first time his fellow castaways had the chance. We talk his chances of a comeback and all things EOE, as well as the dynamics at the merge and a little BDR rebound.
We're not extinct! And we just did our pre-game draft while assessing all 18 players on this season, including the four returnees. Some highlights: We all agree on which returnee has the best shot to win ... And it's not Joe. We hate Joe. We don't talk about Joe. Marc only chooses contestants he would have a beer with. Will an outwardly religious person ever win in modern day Survivor? and much more! Also, Joe sucks.

This week we interviewed Joe Anglim. He left the game in episode 12 of Survivor Cambodia. They called him Joey Amazing, and he lived up to that title with great performances in challenges, inventing things to make camp life more bearable, and even displayed major improvements in his social game too. He appeared invincible all the way to day 29, when he first stumbled but was spared. It all came crashing down on day 32 though, and the majority decided it was finally time for him to go. Listen to this interview to find out how he tried to save himself from fainting, the lingering effects from this season, what happened at tribal council that we didn't see and more! In the Hands of the Prophets. At the end of its first season, Deep Space Nine really began to take on the form that would define the series. The writers wanted to follow up the powerful “Duet” with something even better, even more layered. To do this, they brought together the Federation's scientific approach to the world and the Bajorans' religious one. The clash of philosophies tells us a lot about our own world as well as Gene Roddenberry's vision for Star Trek. And it introduced us to one of Star Trek's great villains. In this episode of The Ready Room, we're joined by Will Nguyen, Mike Morrison, and Ken Tripp to discuss DS9's first-season finale, “In the Hands of the Prophets,” the introduction of Winn and Bareil, handling religion on Star Trek, Keiko the grumpy, Sisko the mediator, and much more. In our news segment, we discuss the comments of Paramount's Motion Picture Group president Marc Evan about a possible grittier future for Star Trek, and Dayton Ward's upcoming travel guide that will get you ready for your visit to Vulcan. This week we interviewed Joe Anglim. He left the game in episode 9 of Survivor Worlds Apart. From the very beginning, he was perceived as this season's biggest threat. Outnumbered and with his back against the wall, he went on an impressive, challenge winning streak after the merge which only incited their desire to get rid of him more. Joe was a clear fan favorite, and we certainly will not be surprised to see him get a second chance to play Survivor. Listen to this interview to hear how he was chosen, details on the type of player that will earn his final tribal vote, his Mike impression and more!
