Cincinnati Bengals all-time running back Corey Dillon joins us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham to discuss his legendary career in Cincinnati and how honored he is to be inducted into the Bengals Ring of Honor in 2024. Lap and Corey reflect on Corey's career from his recording-breaking game vs the Denver Broncos where he rushed for 278 yards to his time in New England where he won a Super Bowl with Tom Brady. Corey and Tim Krumrie will be inducted into the Bengals Ring of Honor on September 23rd in the Bengals Monday night game against the Washington Commanders. We want to thank Corey Dillon for being a fantastic guest and for joining us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham brought to you by First Star Logistics. Solomon is joined by Bengals legend Tim Krumrie to talk about his entrance into the Bengals Ring of Honor as well as recap some of the highlights of his illustrious career playing the game of Football and dominating wherever he went.
Join former Cincinnati Bengals player Tim Krumrie and Dave Lapham as they discuss Tim's induction into the Bengals Ring of Honor and his time in the College Football Hall of Fame. This is a must-watch for Bengals fans and football enthusiasts alike! One of the newest inductees of the Cincinnati Bengals Ring of Honor, Tim Krumrie, enjoyed some great practice battles against Dave Lapham during Krumrie's rookie season and Lapham's final season as a Bengals offensive lineman. The two caught up at First Star Logistics Studios recently to discuss the honor of being voted into the Bengals Ring of Honor, his high school, college, and NFL careers, his battles in the trenches against Lapham and a few other top NFL centers during his career, and how he came back from one of the worst football injuries seen in the history of the game during Super Bowl XXIII against the San Francisco 49ers. This is a special Dave Lapham In The Trenches, presented by First Star Logistics, with two Bengals greats spending some quality one-on-one time in this exclusive interview.
Solomon Wilcots is joined by legendary Bengals player Corey Dillon who has recently been inducted into the Bengals Ring of Honor in order to talk about how the process has been as well as his accomplishments throughout his career.
Boomer shares the Bengals Ring of Honor inductees. There's optimism surrounding the Jets. Not so much for the Giants, who only have a Vegas wins total of 6.5. The Jets number is 9.5. Gio asks Boomer if he knows the Puma. Jerry returns for an update and begins with Shaun Morash saying Chuck E Cheese pizza is better than the best Manhattan has to offer. Jerry has the guys play “which of these was heard on the overnight?” Ed Arzooman went off on an overnight caller who consistently pushes Sal Licata and Chris McMonigle's buttons. Terrell Owens said Tom Brady ghosted him. In the final segment of the hour, callers try to sell Gio on Delaware.
Hour 1 The Yankees and Mets are back in action tonight and despite the Microsoft cloud crash wreaking havoc around the world and our building it's still a Feel Good Friday. How will the Mets handle Pete Alonso and will they buy before the trade deadline? Steve Cohen was to chase “autumn glory” but will David Stearns pivot that far from his plan? Boomer and Gio can't remember any team that has actively talked about buying as much as the Mets players have the last few weeks. The Yankees need to get their season back on track against a tough schedule. Eddie explains the CrowdStrike tech issue affecting us as well as the rest of the world. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and begins with Pete Alonso's excitement to start the second half of the season. MLB released the 2025 schedule and the Yankees will visit the Mets on 4th of July weekend. Jerry has a clip of a minor league broadcaster remaining unfazed when a foul ball came into the booth. It reminded him of John Sterling getting hit by one last year. Boomer would like to see that happen when Craig calls a Yankee series next month. Derek Carr said he almost signed with the Jets last year because he's a big fan of Robert Saleh. Caitlin Clark and Sabrina Ionescu declined to participate in the 3-point contest. Gio says they made a poor choice. In the final segment of the hour, Gio says that he thinks the Yankees will still win the AL East but wonders if Hal Steinbrenner and Brian Cashman will be aggressive at the trade deadline. They have to be all-in. What starter among the trio of Nestor Cortes, Marcus Stroman and Carlos Rodon can be trusted the most? Hour 2 Boomer shares the Bengals Ring of Honor inductees. Hour 3 A guest to the radio station was on the field for Monday night's national anthem performance at the HR Derby so Gio discusses all of the fallout for Ingrid Andress. We hear from a caller who golfed with Peter Schwartz's sons last night. Jerry returns for an update and tells us Maggie Gray is stuck at the airport due to the cyber crash impacting the world. Jerry also has audio of a call between overnight caller Brett and CMac that Gio referenced earlier. Aaron Boone mentioned that he listens to Keith McPherson. Gio thinks he knows where BT went on vacation. Jeff Fisher told us a Corey Dillon story and today, the Bengals announced Dillon is a Ring of Honor inductee. Boomer's Bengals once attempted an onside kick when leading 61-7. Mikal Bridges and Donte DiVincenzo did not like Josh Hart when they first met him at Villanova. In the final segment of the hour, Gio brings a shirtless mirror selfie tweet of Pat Boyle's to Boomer's attention. Gio wonders if we have to distance ourselves from Pat and thinks BT's personality rubbed off on him when they worked together for a few months. Boomer likes that Pat is a confident young man but Gio fears he's regressing. Hour 4 Gio has us make official Yankees and Mets predictions now that the second half is starting. Boomer and Gio think the Yankees will win the division while Eddie does not. Boomer and Eddie think the Mets will make the playoffs while Gio does not. Nobody thinks Pete Alonso will get traded. Boomer says the Yankees will make the ALCS but Gio and Eddie say they will not. Boomer and Gio don't think the Yankees will fire Aaron Boone regardless of how the playoffs go but Eddie thinks Boone and Brian Cashman will be out. Someone around the office has been stealing items from offices and desks. Jerry returns for his final update of the day but first, Boomer wonders if people in the building who hadn't been around recently could be responsible for the recent theft. We remember Boomer's incident with taking a drink and not paying at a sister station a few years ago. Gio recaps an amazing episode of Dateline. Keith McPherson chimed in on the Pat Boyle / Shaun Morash / Tiki Barber race debate and Gio thinks Tiki would come in third in a race against Keith and Pat. Marc Malusis comes in the studio with some items he “found” around the office. The Moment of The Day involves imagining an interaction between Suzyn and Craig in the Yankees broadcast booth. In the final segment of the day, Gio and Boomer talk searching for golf balls and the Mets schedule release video. Were the Mets referencing Shohei Ohtani's gambling scandal or his massive contract?
Paul and Mark close out the dead period discussing the Bengals Ring of Honor selections, Corey Dillon and Tim Krumrie. Then, they answer questions about Myles Murphy potentially becoming a real guy, Joe Burrow's new haircut, most interesting positions of training camp, Bengals as Graeter's flavors and explaining to your children the lack of trustworthiness in church festival carneys. Paul Dehner Jr., of The Athletic, and Mo Egger, of ESPN1530, debate the Bengals' Ring of Honor options as well as what needs to be fixed in the entire process. We always enjoy having one of the all-time Cincinnati Bengals greats, Boomer Esiason, jump In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics, to give his honest and raw thoughts on the world of the NFL and the Bengals. The 2023 Bengals Ring Of Honor inductee looks back on his draft process and sees similarities between it and his 1984 Draft Class and what the Bengals could do with ten draft picks in the 2024 NFL Draft. What position will the Bengals address in Round One? What quarterbacks impress the 1988 NFL Most Valuable Player and four-time Pro Bowl player? This and more in this exclusive One-on-One with one of the best to play the game.
After a couple of weeks where fans of the Cincinnati Bengals felt the season was over after quarterback Joe Burrow went down with a season-ending wrist injury, backup Jake Browning has led the Bengals to back-to-back wins in impressive fashion. Bengals Ring of Honor quarterback Ken Anderson returned to In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics, to discuss the team's resurgence and return to being a team fighting for a playoff spot in the AFC. Ken and Dave talk in depth about Browning's play and how the offense is finding a groove that has seen rookie Chase Brown compliment Joe Mixon and Browning hitting multiple receivers. Hour 1 The Knicks lost their first game of the season as Kristaps Porzingis went off against his old team. We also lost the Marconi Award for Major Market personality and WFAN lost in the Sports Station of The Year category. The Knicks missed a ton of free throws last night. Gio said this will be the Knicks. Good enough to hang with the great teams, but not enough to beat them. BT & Sal got into it with Carl Banks yesterday about Kayvon Thibodeaux and Sal ended up cutting him off. Jerry is here for his first update but first Joanne called in. She is a listener and we met her yesterday at The Ear Inn in Manhattan. Jerry has sound from last night's Knicks season opening loss. The Nets also lost their season opener, 114-113. It looks like Daniel Jones is not going to play again. Sauce Gardner will play and Boomer is still calling it a ‘squash spot'. Brady Quinn called Deshaun Watson a trust fund kid but taking the Browns money and not playing. In the final segment of the hour, Funhouse went and found every pooch punt Boomer had in his career. Hour 2 Quarterback injuries continue to mount in the NFL. Both Brock Purdy and Jalen Hurts could miss playing time. Purdy is in concussion protocol and there seems to be some secrecy with Hurts' knee injury. Andrew Thomas has to come back for the Giants, even more so than Daniel Jones. Why is it that every throwback uniform looks better than their current uniforms? A caller wants to know if Gio wants Joel Embiid or to roll with the younger guys. Jerry returns for an update and has audio from Keith McPherson's reaction to the Sal/BT vs Carl Banks. Keith was not happy with the hosts. In the final segment of the hour, we took calls getting reaction from Sal & BT vs Carl Banks and Keith McPherson vs Sal & BT. Hour 3 We continued talking about Sal & BT vs Carl Banks and Keith McPherson vs Sal & BT. Boomer said people around here get heated about the dumbest things. We took a ton of calls on all the scuttlebutt between Sal, BT, Carl Banks and Keith McPherson. Jerry returns for an update but first Gio can't believe Boomer is eating 2-day old ‘listener cake'. Jerry went around the NBA last night. We heard audio from angry Phillies fans leaving the game after their NLCS loss to the Diamondbacks. In the final segment of the hour, a caller said Shaun Morash called Boomer a coward for not sabotaging the relationship between his daughter and Islander Matt Martin. Hour 4 Carson Palmer calls in to clear up whether Dan in Carteret reached out to him to get a picture of his dog in a bed so that he could commission a painting for Eddie. We also talked about Boomer going into the Bengals Ring of Honor. We also talked about Zach Wilson and the Jets and Aaron Rodgers' rehab. Jerry is here for his final update and starts with a very odd Evan Roberts laugh. Shaun Morash rips off our ‘Pound Town' reference. The Knicks lost to the Celtics thanks to 30 points from Kristaps Porzingas. Rob Saleh talked about the Jets/Giants rivalry being good for sports talk radio. The Moment of The Day involves Sal & BT vs Carl Banks. In the final segment of the show, we played former Penguins coach Michel Therrien trashing his team but with a nice, French accent.

Cincinnati Bengals legendary quarterback Ken Anderson joins us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham to discuss the Bengals two new inductees into the Bengals Ring of Honor and how the Bengals can bounce back after their 1-3 start. After the Monday night victory over the Los Angeles Rams, a lot of fans thought the Bengals were back on track but that quickly changed after Sunday's 27-3 loss against the Tennessee Titans. The drive of the game was the only bright spot for the Bengals as they drove down the field with ease and looked like the Bengals of the last two seasons but after that, it was all Tennessee. Joe and the offense couldn't get anything going after that first drive as the Titan's front seven wreaked havoc on Joe the entire game. The Bengals' defense also had one of their worst performances in recent memory giving up big play after big play which resulted in Tennessee having their best offense performance of the season. 1-3 is a bad place to be in the NFL but the Bengals have a chance to bounce back as they go on the road again to face the 1-3 Arizona Cardinals in what feels like a must-win game in Week 5. We want to thank Ken for joining us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham brought to you by First Star Logistics. What are the Jets going to do if Zach Wilson gets hurt? Right now, Tim Boyle is the only other QB on the team. There are guys you can bring in and sign. You may not like the names, but there are people out there. Jerry returns for an update and he's wearing a Chad Johnson jersey since he is going in the Bengals Ring of Honor with Boomer tonight. The Jets lost to the Patriots again and Rob Saleh said it's not all on Zach Wilson. Saleh said even with Aaron at QB, they were expecting some hiccups. Sauce Gardner said Mac Jones hit him in his private parts. Colorado lost to Oregon and Deion Sanders said this is the worst it's going to get. In the final segment of the hour, Bill Belichick joked about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. Gio said he only entertained that question from WEEI because they beat the Jets. Gio needs a Rob Saleh press conference this week where he says they are actively looking for another QB.
Zach Wilson is as bad as JaMarcus Russell and we all considered him the biggest bust QB. We went through a bunch of stats where Wilson is a complete disaster. Statistically this is as bad as it can possibly be and the Jets are still rolling with him. The Chiefs are only 8 ½ point favorites over the Jets. That doesn't make any sense. Jerry returns for an update and Zach Wilson was bad but not according to Rob Saleh. Tim Boyle is not going to get any first team reps. Mike Tomlin talked about the Steelers win over the Raiders on SNF. The Vikings are 0-3 but Kirk Cousins is only trying to go 1-0 every week. Lou Holtz was on with Pat McAfee and said Notre Dame is better than Ohio State. He also said Ryan Day loses big games. OSU did beat Notre Dame and Day called out Lou Holtz. The Moment of The Day involves Boomer's dinner plans for tonight as he goes in the Bengals Ring of Honor. In the final segment of the show, we talked about Boomer getting into the Bengal Ring of Honor tonight along with Chad Johnson.
Hour 1 The Jets lost again and they had absolutely no offense behind Zach Wilson. For some reason the Jets are still not bringing in another quarterback. The players are saying the right thing after the game by supporting their guy, but the body language on the sideline says otherwise. The Jets are being very stubborn right now with keeping Zach Wilson in the QB position. Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan both reached out but the Jets are not interested. Gio is done with being mad at Wilson, he's now mad at Saleh and GM Joe Douglas. For some reason the Jets won't admit that they made a bad draft choice in Zach. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with Zach Wilson being sacked for a safety. Rob Saleh told us all about the improvements Wilson made and all the great things they are seeing. Erin Andrews asked Patrick Mahomes if there was pressure to get a TD for Travis Kelce since Taylor Swift was at the game. The Dolphins scored 70 points as they beat Denver 70-20. The Vikings broadcasters sound sad as they fall to 0-3. In the final segment of the hour, Joe Namath took to twitter and was criticizing Zach Wilson. Hour 2 The Jets are standing over the toilet and watching their season go down the drain. They are making no effort to go out and get a veteran quarterback. The Vikings are now 0-3 and the ownership out there is thought to want a younger quarterback for the future. Does that make Kirk Cousins available to the Jets? The Jets went from hope to hopeless real quick. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the call of the almost hail mary by the Jets yesterday. Randall Cobb said they lost the game because he dropped a hail mary. Rob Saleh said of Zach Wilson, ‘yeah, he's fine'. The Dolphins beat the Broncos 70-20. The Cardinals surprised the Cowboys. The Cards have beaten them 8 of the last 9 meetings. In the final segment of the hour, when you see the above camera angles of the Jets game, you can see the open receivers Zach Wilson was missing. Boomer doesn't know why the Jets don't want Carson Wentz. Hour 3 What are the Jets going to do if Zach Wilson gets hurt? Right now, Tim Boyle is the only other QB on the team. There are guys you can bring in and sign. You may not like the names, but there are people out there. Jerry returns for an update and he's wearing a Chad Johnson jersey since he is going in the Bengals Ring of Honor with Boomer tonight. Gio said last night's game did not feel like the Giants got their ass kicked, but the statistics shows that they did. It sets up a must win for the Giants on Monday night against Seattle. Boomer is going into the Bengals Ring of Honor on Monday night. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds from last night's Giants loss in San Francisco. Gerrit Cole had another great outing setting himself up to win the CY Young. Stephen A. Smith threw out the first pitch at the Yankees game and he one hopped it. In the final segment of the hour, Mike Francesa announces he will have video on his podcast. Steve Somers is going to be working Friday nights and Gio said it bums him out when retired guys come back to do shows.
Hour 1 The Giants lost to the Niners last night 30-12. The Niners dominated time of possession but the Giants were able to hang in there for most of the game. There were a couple of key penalties called on the Giants that seemed unfair to the Giants. The Thursday Night pregame show had terrible things to say about Zach Wilson. Ryan Fitzpatrick said the Jets are going 1-5. Fitz said Jameis Winston is a good option for the Jets. Last night the Giants defense could not get off the field. Gio said the most concerning thing was how the Giants defense was just getting trucked. Jerry is here for his first update with the sounds from last night's game. Brian Daboll said third downs killed the Giants' defense. Al & Eddie have a new Zach Wilson song to a J. Geils Band classic. Joe Burrow talked about his calf injury. Jerry has audio of a man going off on somebody on the golf course. In the final segment of the hour, Saquon Barkley revealed he has a high ankle sprain. Gio thinks Saquon revealed it because Taylor Rooks is attractive. He thinks attractive women should do interrogations. Hour 2 With horrendous weather coming to the area this weekend, can the wind and rain actually help the Jets this Sunday? Boomer just said, ‘take the under'. Boomer doesn't think Zach will throw more than 20 passes if the weather is nasty. Have to ground and pound it. Boomer expects a much better performance from the Jets defense this week because they were embarrassed last weekend. Jerry returns for an update and has all the sounds from last night's Giants loss in San Francisco. Daniel Jones said they didn't have any rhythm. Nick Bosa was surprised the Giants didn't go with the zone read. Nathaniel Hackett talked about having a bad game plan for Micah Parsons. In the final segment of the hour, the Daily Mail found the crazy guy who went off on people at a golf course in Michigan. Guy Adami from CNBC calls in to say nice things about Al for his birthday Hour 3 Gio said last night's game did not feel like the Giants got their ass kicked, but the statistics shows that they did. It sets up a must win for the Giants on Monday night against Seattle. Boomer is going into the Bengals Ring of Honor on Monday night. Steve Somers is going to be working Friday nights and Gio said it bums him out when retired guys come back to do shows. Hour 4 The Jets host the Patriots on Sunday and Gio said if Zach Wilson has a bad first half they need to sit him and bring in Tim Boyle. Boomer is also looking ahead to the Giants/Seattle game and said it's a must win or things will turn south in a hurry. The Jets season could also get to 1-5 real quick. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Giants losing to the 49'ers 30-12 last night. Gerrit Cole had another great outing and is on his way to a Cy Young. Moment of The Day involves a very angry golfer that ‘went to heaven'. In the final segment of the hour, our NFL picks with Yussef!
Hour 1: The Subway Series is happening in the Bronx tonight. It means something for the Yankees but Boomer & Gio both agree that the Mets are completely irrelevant. The Yankees should be buyers at the trade deadline. B&G played golf yesterday and Gio came through with a huge 20 foot putt. One of the people they golfed with had a lot of gas and was letting it rip on the golf course all day. Another golfer was surprised that there's such a thing as a pickle in a bag. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with a preview of tonight's Subway Series. Giancarlo Stanton talked about facing Justin Verlander and needing to take 2 games. Mark Canha talked about playing while rumors swirl about him being traded. Carl Banks said Saquon Barkley should play and help build his brand. OBJ is excited for camp with his new team, the Ravens. Austin Rivers is not a fan of NBA players deciding where they are going to play. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Master P starting a sports agency back in the day and had Ricky Williams as his first client. Yesterday LeBron James tweeted about the Saudis maybe getting involved in basketball. Matt Martin had a funny tweet about Boomer and the Bengals Ring of Honor.

Yesterday LeBron James tweeted about the Saudis maybe getting involved in basketball. Matt Martin had a funny tweet about Boomer and the Bengals Ring of Honor. Hour 2: The Mets season has been a huge disappointment so far. As we start getting into the Mets, we got breaking news that Saquon Barkley signed a 1-year, $11 million contract with the Giants with a signing bonus of $2 million. This is a bit confusing considering what he turned down from the Giants previously. Boomer wonders what reason he would have to sign that deal instead of taking the Franchise Tag. Boomer said we need to see the whole contract to get the full picture. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Saquon signing details and has sound from Dalvin Cook on with Rich Eisen. Boomer called the Franchise Tag ‘un-American'. Mark Ingram said he would tell kids to play a different position than RB. And a golfer apologized on Twitter for cheating. In the final segment of the hour, Gio tells a story about a woman who loved hiking, who was killed when attacked by a bear. A caller thinks Saquon sold out by taking this deal. He thinks other RBs in the league are going to be angry that he took it. Hour 3: As we await Keith Hernandez's phone call, we recapped the Saquon Barkley news from this morning. He signed a 1-year deal with the Giants for up to $11 million with a $2 million signing bonus. We can't find Keith. We have two landlines for him and a cell phone and none of them are being answered. Jerry returns for an update and starts with details on the new deal between the Giants and Saquon Barkley. Mike Brown, the owner of the Bengals, talked about money for players and used a pig eating corn analogy. Bill Belichick met the media and said, ‘I don't do physicals'. DK Metcalf was on a podcast and talked about all the candy he eats. In the final segment of the hour, Keith Hernandez calls in. He had the ringer off on his phone. Hour 4: Peter Schwartz is in studio. He's wearing his throwback Freeman McNeil jersey. He tries on the new Boomer Jets throwback and it actually fits him. Al puts on Peter's jersey and it fits him like a dress. Jerry returns for an update and has audio from Bill Belichick as he met the media. He was asked about Aaron Rodgers being in the division now. Dalvin Cook was on with Rich Eisen and talked about the RB position being devalued. Mike Francesa said Howard Cosell was not a fan of his. Jameis Winston sings ‘stroke it with your motion'. It's actually a song by the Love Doctor called, ‘Slow Roll It'. Jerry previewed the Subway Series in the Bronx tonight. In the final segment of the show, Boomer got Peter tickets for the Hall of Fame game and a Joe Klecko jersey. We got more products for the Man Bucket. And we got more information on the Gilgo Beach killer.
Hour 2: Sauce Gardner gave Aaron Rodgers a #8 gold chain with diamonds. Boomer told us a month ago Rodgers was coming for a few years, and it finally came out in the news. At 9am the Jets have an announcement that's going to be pretty cool. Boomer said Tyreek Hill didn't sign with the Jets because of NY taxes. Gio wondered if the Jets might trade Mekhi Becton the same way they cut Denzel Mims. Gio thinks he will be on the team based on how much weight he did lose. Saquon Barkley has removed the Giants from his social media. We talked about the RB position and the contract situation between the Giants and Barkley. Jerry is here for an update but first former Bengals WR Carl Pickens calls in to congratulate Boomer on his Ring of Honor and Carl had some fun Boomer stories. Rob Saleh talked about the great connection between Aaron Rodgers and Garrett Wilson. Chris Jones is holding out in Kansas City which surprised Andy Reid. In the final segment of the hour, the new WFAN lineup starts today.

Corey Dillon has a problem with the way the Cincinnati Bengals are putting together their Ring of Honor and has added to his history of epic rants, and while he has a point about the process, it will be interesting to see how his approach lands with fan voters. Then, we take a look at PFF's annual cap health report, where the Bengals have repeated in the top spot for a healthy cap even in the middle of a highly competitive Super Bowl window. A big reason for that is that their veteran signings have provided excellent surplus value and they have tons of cap flexibility in the next 3 years as they have expiring contracts for stars like Joe Burrow, Tee Higgins, Ja'Marr Chase, and defensive cornerstones like DJ Reader and Chidobe Awuzie.Find and follow Locked On Bengals on your favorite podcast platforms:Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/locked-on-bengals-daily-podcast-on-the-cincinnati-bengals/id1159723162Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7AObc0lh0WmQl5fJVgtajsStitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/show/locked-on-bengalsGoogle Podcasts: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5tZWdhcGhvbmUuZm0vbG9ja2Vkb25iZW5nYWxz?sa=X&ved=0CAYQrrcFahcKEwio_sXtj8nuAhUAAAAAHQAAAAAQAgJames Rapien and Jake Liscow take you inside the Bengals with the latest news, unique analysis, and insight on your favorite team, every day on Locked On Bengals.
