First Team All-American? YOU BET (from Dartmouth, no less!) A member of the College Football Hall of Fame? YESSSS! Most sacks in Bengals history? HECK YA! (62. to be exact) Most inceptions in Bengals history? UH HUH (16 if you're counting) The NFL Man of the Year? YES SIR (in 1986) Sports Illustrated's co-Sportsman of the Year? YOU KNOW IT (in 1987) A member of two Super Bowl squad's with the Bengals? SUPER DUPER! A member of the Bengals Ring of Honor? NO. WHATTTTTTTTTT??? Reggie Williams isn't mad, he just wonders why, as do we and so many others. But, Reggie has a lot of other things on his mind, like helping Disney create the Wide World of Sports complex, like fighting the pain every day that his body withstood and the 24 knee operations he needed. Certainly, the fact that his left leg is 3 1/2 inches shorter than his right leg and how his strength and perseverance gets him through each day. REGGIE WILLIAMS' story is one of will, of mental toughness and gratitude. And we're honored to have him as our guest on The Approach Shot.

This is a must-watch for Bengals fans and football enthusiasts alike! One of the newest inductees of the Cincinnati Bengals Ring of Honor, Tim Krumrie, enjoyed some great practice battles against Dave Lapham during Krumrie's rookie season and Lapham's final season as a Bengals offensive lineman. The two caught up at First Star Logistics Studios recently to discuss the honor of being voted into the Bengals Ring of Honor, his high school, college, and NFL careers, his battles in the trenches against Lapham and a few other top NFL centers during his career, and how he came back from one of the worst football injuries seen in the history of the game during Super Bowl XXIII against the San Francisco 49ers. This is a special Dave Lapham In The Trenches, presented by First Star Logistics, with two Bengals greats spending some quality one-on-one time in this exclusive interview.
Solomon Wilcots is joined by legendary Bengals player Corey Dillon who has recently been inducted into the Bengals Ring of Honor in order to talk about how the process has been as well as his accomplishments throughout his career.
Boomer shares the Bengals Ring of Honor inductees. There's optimism surrounding the Jets. Not so much for the Giants, who only have a Vegas wins total of 6.5. The Jets number is 9.5. Gio asks Boomer if he knows the Puma. Jerry returns for an update and begins with Shaun Morash saying Chuck E Cheese pizza is better than the best Manhattan has to offer. Jerry has the guys play “which of these was heard on the overnight?” Ed Arzooman went off on an overnight caller who consistently pushes Sal Licata and Chris McMonigle's buttons. Terrell Owens said Tom Brady ghosted him. In the final segment of the hour, callers try to sell Gio on Delaware.
Hour 1 The Yankees and Mets are back in action tonight and despite the Microsoft cloud crash wreaking havoc around the world and our building it's still a Feel Good Friday. How will the Mets handle Pete Alonso and will they buy before the trade deadline? Steve Cohen was to chase “autumn glory” but will David Stearns pivot that far from his plan? Boomer and Gio can't remember any team that has actively talked about buying as much as the Mets players have the last few weeks. The Yankees need to get their season back on track against a tough schedule. Eddie explains the CrowdStrike tech issue affecting us as well as the rest of the world. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and begins with Pete Alonso's excitement to start the second half of the season. MLB released the 2025 schedule and the Yankees will visit the Mets on 4th of July weekend. Jerry has a clip of a minor league broadcaster remaining unfazed when a foul ball came into the booth. It reminded him of John Sterling getting hit by one last year. Boomer would like to see that happen when Craig calls a Yankee series next month. Derek Carr said he almost signed with the Jets last year because he's a big fan of Robert Saleh. Caitlin Clark and Sabrina Ionescu declined to participate in the 3-point contest. Gio says they made a poor choice. In the final segment of the hour, Gio says that he thinks the Yankees will still win the AL East but wonders if Hal Steinbrenner and Brian Cashman will be aggressive at the trade deadline. They have to be all-in. What starter among the trio of Nestor Cortes, Marcus Stroman and Carlos Rodon can be trusted the most? Hour 2 Boomer shares the Bengals Ring of Honor inductees. Hour 3 A guest to the radio station was on the field for Monday night's national anthem performance at the HR Derby so Gio discusses all of the fallout for Ingrid Andress. We hear from a caller who golfed with Peter Schwartz's sons last night. Jerry returns for an update and tells us Maggie Gray is stuck at the airport due to the cyber crash impacting the world. Jerry also has audio of a call between overnight caller Brett and CMac that Gio referenced earlier. Aaron Boone mentioned that he listens to Keith McPherson. Gio thinks he knows where BT went on vacation. Jeff Fisher told us a Corey Dillon story and today, the Bengals announced Dillon is a Ring of Honor inductee. Boomer's Bengals once attempted an onside kick when leading 61-7. Mikal Bridges and Donte DiVincenzo did not like Josh Hart when they first met him at Villanova. In the final segment of the hour, Gio brings a shirtless mirror selfie tweet of Pat Boyle's to Boomer's attention. Gio wonders if we have to distance ourselves from Pat and thinks BT's personality rubbed off on him when they worked together for a few months. Boomer likes that Pat is a confident young man but Gio fears he's regressing. Hour 4 Gio has us make official Yankees and Mets predictions now that the second half is starting. Boomer and Gio think the Yankees will win the division while Eddie does not. Boomer and Eddie think the Mets will make the playoffs while Gio does not. Nobody thinks Pete Alonso will get traded. Boomer says the Yankees will make the ALCS but Gio and Eddie say they will not. Boomer and Gio don't think the Yankees will fire Aaron Boone regardless of how the playoffs go but Eddie thinks Boone and Brian Cashman will be out. Someone around the office has been stealing items from offices and desks. Jerry returns for his final update of the day but first, Boomer wonders if people in the building who hadn't been around recently could be responsible for the recent theft. We remember Boomer's incident with taking a drink and not paying at a sister station a few years ago. Gio recaps an amazing episode of Dateline. Keith McPherson chimed in on the Pat Boyle / Shaun Morash / Tiki Barber race debate and Gio thinks Tiki would come in third in a race against Keith and Pat. Marc Malusis comes in the studio with some items he “found” around the office. The Moment of The Day involves imagining an interaction between Suzyn and Craig in the Yankees broadcast booth. In the final segment of the day, Gio and Boomer talk searching for golf balls and the Mets schedule release video. Were the Mets referencing Shohei Ohtani's gambling scandal or his massive contract?
