Konedawg (Josh Koen) is an Australian DJ and aspiring Producer based in Sydney. His funk and progressive-rock roots broadened significantly after discovering psychedelic dance music through Australia's burgeoning Bush Doof scene. A regular at East Coast festivals including Vyoma, Lovefest, Unity and Burning Seed, Konedawg has also thrown renegade sets at some of Australia's biggest parties including Earth Frequency, Dragon Dreaming, Rainbow Serpent and Rabbits Eat Lettuce. He and his partner Kat also run their own club night; 'Juicy', in Sydney's Inner West. Konedawg was immediately drawn to the Digital Diamonds sound. The balance of groove, tight production and psychedelic elements have served to inspire his DJing and production alike. This set captures some of his favourite Digital Diamonds releases, both new and old, coupled with a blend of other invigorating tunes from like-minded artists and labels. What an honour it was to spin for the Temple of Boom legends at Sunset on the Sunday of Burning Seed 2018. Re-recorded my set as it was distorted, but here it is again track for track, some of my absolute favourite tunes, past and present :) Kept it melodic with lashings of spice here and there for some extra kick

This week we had local Swerve favourite somersault in for the subsonic take over. The man him self has come through a few times now and needs little introduction. We had a good chat about what he has coming up, what he is gonna be wearing and some other banter. Here is a bit of info Somersault’s music is uncompromising. Heavily influenced by the shuffling rhythms of dark UK garage, atmospheric techno and deep melodic house, Somersault likes to straddle the line between the delirious highs and murky lows, a sound that’s brought his unique sets to outdoor festivals and underground clubs. The young producer has come a long way from working as a funk guitarist to producing music played on international festival stages by Jon Convex. While his initial entry into electronic music was with electronica duo This Mess, Somersault came into being while travelling through Europe and immersing in the rich club culture in 2014. He is however, no newcomer to dance music having played at major Australian festivals Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Dragon Dreaming and Burning Seed as well as at major Sydney club nights S.A.S.H, Something Else, Blueprint, Foxlife and Cakes supporting PleasureKraft, Pepperpot, Simon Caldwell, Made In Paris, Politics of Dancing and Robbie Lowe. Somersault's eagerly awaited Stampede EP is soon to be released on Upon Access, Sydney’s groundbreaking new label curated by Techno Heavyweight Made In Paris.
