Dan is back to his more traditional tales this week. Are a series of deaths related to the discovery of a very ancient body found near the border between Italy and Austria? Next, we stay in Europe and head to Spain, examining the mystery of La Mussara - an abandoned village near the city of Tarragona. Does the fog the frequently blankets the town have anything to do with numerous disappearances and all kinds of paranormal sightings? Finally, a good-old fashioned haunting in Chicago. But one that lead to the first nationally televised history, when the Beckers sought to rid their new home of threatening activity.  Lynze is sharing some Halloween fun! Her first story is about a haunted or possessed doll named Claire at the The Museum of Shadows in Omaha. Do several spirits haunt not only the church, but the nearby cemetery as well? This story features a modern encounter. The asylum was absorbed by Ohio University after it closed down, and some wonder if the spirits that allegedly once haunted the asylum now haunt the campus. Then a shorter story  set in Barbados. The first story is full of claims of a young family from in the 90s, coming in from a small city in Eastern Australia.Then we examine the story of the Black Flash. Did a shadowy, but seemingly physically very real creature terrorize the residents of a quaint little Cape Cod, Massachussetts summer town? Lynze dazzles us with three spoopy tales. An imaginary friend who might be a friend or might be something else. That is followed up with a strange situation with a woman calling for a man. But who is she and why is she calling out? PLEASE TAKE CARE WHILE LISTENING. For the first strory, we visit LA's Cecil Hotel.  It has been home to a LOT of murders, suicides, accidental deaths, and paranormal mysteries over the years. And at least two serial killers have called it home WHILE they were killing. An anonymous ghost hunter and true crime junkie decided to stay there herself and got the scares of a lifetime. For Dan's next story, we'll explore three separate locations all around Oregon's Nehalem Bay, another haunted hotel, an urban legend, and some cursed treasure.  Lynze has two kind of lighter tales but still carry their own level of supernatural elements. In the first story, several generations share an encounter with the same male spirit in the same house. Whoever posted this tale never gave an exact location and there are several hotels around the country that have had the name “Sunway Hotel.” It's a nice twist on the creepy haunted hotel story.  The next story is about a mythical creature from Mayan mythology - the Alux, a creepy little creature some people still believe in - like the current President of Mexico. Lynze has three stories, each on the shorter side, which makes them pack a fast paced punch. This tale is based on some supposedly true stories. Sophie Evans found all this. She was clearly on the same page as I was last week, when it came to worrying about how modern technology and paranormal horror can collide today. His second story is a little one. Just a peek into the rumors that India's Bhangarh Fort is not just haunted, but curse. We'll look at two origin stories for the curse, and at a few claims of paranormal encounters. While that first story is an alleged modern encounter, Dan's second story is an old one. It begins in the 17th century. PLEASE TAKE CARE WHILE LISTENING. For Dan's first story, we go to the little mining town of Cripple Creek, Colorado, from 1892. Probably doesn't sound too terrifying. But, just imagine dealing with the worst kinds of paranormal horror that we've talked about here many times in the sense of it happening in recent years, where you can go stay with relatives, or get a priest or shaman, etc., to perform some kind of blessing - but now you have no one to help you and nowhere to go. You're just stuck - as in, snowed in a homestead cabin kind of stuck - with something evil. Then Dan shares some history and then a smattering of recent paranormal sightings from England's very historic Colchester  Castle.
