Omul nostru, fericitul câștigător, s-a pregătit intens.
This week we have one of the missionaries that we support in Iraq with us. David Popovici shard his heart on family and how family should look and operate in the Kingdom of God.

China's freestyle swimmer Pan Zhanle has thanked a scientific training program for his world record-breaking feat at the Paris Olympics as the country celebrates its first men's Olympic swimming gold medal in a sprint event. Entering Wednesday's final session under huge pressure to end China's gold medal drought in the Paris pool, the 19-year-old sent the capacity crowd at the La Defense Arena into a frenzy by clocking 46.40 seconds in the 100m freestyle final, to deliver the team a long-anticipated gold and take an incredible 0.4 seconds off his own previous world record time.7月31日,巴黎奥运会男子100米自由泳决赛,这位年仅19岁的选手肩负着此届奥运会游泳项目中国代表队零金牌的巨大压力,以46.40秒的成绩让拉德芳斯体育馆座无虚席。 It was the first world record broken in any swimming competition at the Paris Games, and has significantly lifted the Chinese team's spirit following a series of near-misses of the podium top spot in earlier events. Pan's record-breaking performance on Wednesday came after having completed a rigorous doping test program, prior to and during the Paris Games, with zero positive results, which has sent out a strong statement on the improvement and integrity of Chinese swimmers.7月31日,潘展乐在巴黎奥运会前频繁接受了严格的兴奋剂检测,检测结果全部为阴性。 I just swam the race perfectly today and made a strong impression for Chinese swimming. I hope this gold could boost the morale of the whole team," Pan said at the post-final news conference. "For myself, I haven't come to terms with it yet," Pan said of the gold medal's significance for his career. "My life goes on, for sure, and I will continue training and swimming. But for Chinese swimming and for my country, I think it's huge to prove that Chinese athletes could also prevail in another event (other than traditional strong disciplines) in swimming." A young talent specifically strong in his final split push, Pan made his presence felt at February's world championships in Doha by setting his previous world record of 46.80 seconds in his stunning leadoff leg in China's gold-winning men's 4x100m relay. 。Australia's Kyle Chalmers finished 1.08 seconds behind Pan in Paris to win silver, while former world record holder David Popovici of Romania finished a further 0.01 seconds back and had to settle for a bronze medal. Asked how he managed to achieve such a consistent improvement, Pan said it is all about hard working honestly under the right guidance. I took 21 doping tests from May to July prior to the Games and had no positive results at all. It was no big deal as long as the testing was conducted fairly and according to rules. I cooperated with all the testing and stay confident that I am competing fair and clean," Pan said. As far as my daily training routine, I didn't focus too much on speed training on my program. I did a lot of aerobics and endurance training to strengthen my push and kick in the final split."We have also been adopting a scientific underwater monitoring and analyzing system to review our techniques and strokes, so that we could train better and more effectively," he said. La Defense Arenan.拉德芳斯体育馆world championships in Dohan.

David Popovici – campion olimpic. It was a great joy to once again have our friend David Popovici come and share the word of the Lord with the work. We are grateful for his consistent voice and investment in us as people. As he ministered, there was a clear reminder that Jesus' desire is to build a house for Himself and a call to partner with Him in His ways to participate in the establishing of this house in our generation. Jesus is not looking for people to attempt to build His house according to the wisdom of men or culture. He is searching out the ones who would be willing to give their lives to the redeeming of the those that can add nothing to them. The Lord choses the canvas of the nobodies, the disenfranchised, and the marginalized to reveal the fulness of the beauty of Jesus. Though it may cost everything, may the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering!

No one has ever repeated as Olympic champion in the 200 free. Will Tom Dean be the first? Even if Ariarne Titmus defends her title, the men's 200 final happens before the women's. To accomplish a feat not even the likes of greats like Ian Thorpe, Katie Ledecky, nor Michael Phelps has done, Tom Dean will need to fend off some serious challengers like super phenom David Popovici, the current 100 meter freestyle world record holder, and British countryman Duncan Scott, among many others. But swimming fast in an Olympic final is something few people know how to do, and Tom Dean has proven he is one of those people, so you better believe that come 200 freestyle day in Paris, we'll order up some Bangers & Mash and have a few pints to cheer on this jolly good fellow. Until then, we'll keep up with him on his podcast, The Weekly Freestyle. Cheerio. (They do say that, right?) Enjoy!

SwimSwam sat down with the Winner of this year's Miss Ambassador and Miss California US Nation Beauty Pageants, Andreea Dragoi. The sophomore at San Jose State actually missed a 3rd beauty pageant because she was competing with her SJSU swim team at the Mizzou Invite. Dragoi takes us through her upbringing as an athlete, which evolved into solely swimming, including growing up and training with world record holder David Popovici since childhood. Dragoi started modeling in Romania but it was only in the US, once she moved to San Jose to study and swim, that she took on beauty pageants. The 20-year-old explains that they give her a sense of confidence and trust in herself, as well as a voice for her to champion important causes to her, like getting swim lessons for those with disabilities.

Autor și voce: Andreea GiucleaMontaj: Ana Maria CiobanuFoto: Matei BuțăMuzica: Podignton Bear- Vibe Drive ★ Support this podcast ★

This week Joel unburdens himself of his true feelings for David Popovici's stroke, Erik tries it out for himself and Chris describes hanging out with Mike Murray at Futures
On this week's episode of the Propulsion Swimming Podcast, we discuss swimming prediction in the for of 'What's More Likely..?' Similar to a game of 'Would you rather...', we ask each other questions from hypothetical scenarios and in a very different look at predicting the swimming world. Questions include: Who, out of David Popovici and Kristof Milak, is most likely to hit the most World Records in their career? If Sarah Sjostrom and Siobhan Haughey were part of the USA Women's 4x100m freestyle relay team, would they beat World Record holders Australia? Among many more... We sat down with the newest world record holder, David Popovici, the 17-year-old phenom who broke Cesar Cielo's 13-year-old 100 free mark. Popovici is currently in Lima, Peru, preparing for the World Jr Championships, the last Jr meet of his career. He isn't entering the meet with any expectations but did admit that he went best time in workout just the other day, signaling that the Romanian may be in top form once again. Popovici also comments on dealing with this new level of fame after becoming the fastest man on Earth, what small change allowed him to break his first world record, and racing top-level competitors like Caeleb Dressel in the future.

On this week's episode of the Propulsion Swiming Podcast, we review the summer of swimming from the Commonwealth Games and European Championships, as well as touching upon the World Championships. We sat down with the world record-holder in the 50 free and now the FORMER world record-holder in the 100 free, Cesar Cielo, to get his perspective on sprinting in the world today. Cesar admits he wasn't ecstatic about 17-year-old David Popovici breaking his 13-year-old 100 free world record, but he also wasn't sad about it. He reveals what he see's in Popovici's technique, starts, and kick that can make him even more of a lethal threat on the international stage. Cielo also gives a look into the mind of an athlete who is at the top of the world, perhaps lending perspective on what 5x 2020 Olympic champion Caeleb Dressel may be going through after pulling out of the world championships this summer. And finally, Cielo predicts if we will ever see a 45-second 100 free as well as when he thinks his 50 free world record will finally go down.
Romanian David Popovici is the fastest human in history over 100 meters freestyle. At the 2022 European Championships in Rome, the 17 year old Popovici blasted a 46.86 in the 100 Freestyle to break Cesar Cielo's long standing world record. Popovici also dropped the hammer in the 200 Freestyle, becoming the 3rd fastest ever behind Michael Phelps and Paul Biedermann. He broke the 1:43 barrier in that 200 Free. Pop has been coached by Adrian Rădulescu since he was 9 years old. They discuss racing against David Popovici, whose race plan and strengths are the opposite of Liendo's. They talk about Caeleb Dressel pulling out of World Champs and how Liendo wanted to compare each aspect of his race to Caeleb's to determine how he is shaping up. David Popovici was with us for a corporate gathering of our church and shared a powerful word from Mark chapter 4. In this moment of human history the church bears the responsibility of sifting through the challenges before us to connect with God in a real and deep way. There is more opportunity for distraction and connectivity to other things than there has ever been. Evil is rising, but so is the Church; the wheat and the tares are maturing at the same time.

SWIMSWAM'S TOP 5 SWIMS OF THE 2020 OLYMPIC GAMES: DAY 3 #5 – M 200 Free: Rising star and 16-year-old David Popovici drops a huge 1:44.68 in his first Olympic final, just missing a medal at 4th place and breaking the European Jr record #4 – M 200 Free: The British are coming, with Tom Dean and Duncan Scott taking 1-2 in the 200 free, both dropping 1:44.2's to top the rest of the field by nearly half a second #3 – W 100 Breast: 17-year-old Lydia Jacoby keeps her momentum rolling from Olympic Trials, getting her hand on the wall first to hit Gold, while defending champ Lilly King earns Bronze behind her #2 – M 100 Back: Evgeny Rylov breaks a European record en route to gold (51.98) and a 1-2 Russian finish as his countryman Kliment Kilosnikov finishes right behind him at 52.0 for silver #1 – W 100 back: This highly anticipated showdown did not disappoint, and once again Australia took control as Kaylee McKeown moved ahead of the field with 15m to go and touched first at 57.47, the #2 performance ever and just .02 behind her own world record BELLY FLOP OF THE DAY: Men's 200 Fly It was disappointing to see 14 men go 1:55 or slower in the semis, with #2 being 1:54.9. With Kristof Milak going the easiest looking 1:52 that has ever been swum, we would have thought the rest of the world might have been able to catch up a bit. But the real belly flop was Chad le Clos' 31.8 final 50, which was not only entertaining (and painful) to watch, but surprisingly effective, with the fly-and-die swim netting him the 3rd seed. le Clos could easily turn that belly flop into a medal today. HOT TOPIC OF THE DAY: Will USA Vets Show Up? We've seen USA youngsters firing in Tokyo just as we did in Omaha, and I'm not saying that the Vets aren't swimming well. They just aren't getting their hands on the wall like we're used to seeing them do and it worries me as an American. But as Mel notes, it's early in the meet, and USA is used to being in situations like this and staying resilient through the latter half of big meets like this. It took Australia 48 years to win the Women's 100 Free....now they dominate the event. What has changed since Jodie Henry in the Women's 100 Free?
