Have you ever found yourself on a need to know basis? It turns out there are some things that are nice to know and some things that you need to know. There is however one thing that every believer needs to know, what is your mission. This is known as the ‘Great Commission', or in other words the main mission that is given to every disciple of Jesus. If you already know about the mission maybe what holds you back from fulfilling the mission is the fear of the unknown. When what you DO KNOW is greater than what you DON'T KNOW there is NO ROOM FOR FEAR. Tune in as Pastor Adam kicks off a brand new series, ‘No Time to Die', with a message titled ‘A Need to Know Basis'.

To all the coaches out there in pro ball... Give us players credit for what we DO KNOW! Incredible quote from my guest today, Zach Penprase, who drops some serious takes and knowledge on us for the podcast. Zach is a So-Cal kid who ended up playing college baseball at Mississippi Valley State, the pride of Jerry Rice. He became an All American at his college and started stealing a ton of bases including one year where he led the nation with 57! Zach was a stud athlete and was eventually drafted by the Phillies in the 13th round of the 2006 MLB Draft. As he went through his minor league career, Zach was labeled difficult and couldn't understand why coaches were messing with his swing. This led him to eventually become a mental skills coach to help young athletes deal with coaches and the pressures of baseball. Zach and I also discuss his amazing opportunity to play in the Olympics and in the baseball tournament for Team Israel this summer. He shares his mindset and why he visualizes all of these positive things happening in his life which pulls him to achieve them!Follow Zach Penprase here:Instagram: @penprase6Follow Me and SUBSCRIBE, LIKE and COMMENT on the Too Tall Sports Podcast:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOT1dawh_079qckq7OmFHAQInstagram: @tootallsportspodcastTwitter: @TooTallSportsFacebook Group: TooTallSportsPodcastApple Podcasts: Too Tall Sports PodcastSpotify: Too Tall Sports Podcasthttps://www.diamantenetwork.com/network/brettlorinPandora: https://www.pandora.com/podcast/too-tall-sports-podcast/PC:52128Email: tootallsportspodcast@gmail.com
We’ve all experienced times when our life was filled with more questions than explanations and answers from God. We’re not confident in both; “WHY It Happened” or “WHATS’s Next”. And in seasons like this, instead of focusing on what we don’t know; it’s key that we build our confidence and conviction on the truths we DO KNOW concerning God’s promises & presence in our lives to move forward in life
Premiering a new segment on my podcast centered around my beautiful LOS ANGELES!! And I brought on my homie, Do Know, to kick this LA shit off. Listen as we talk his come up, his music, acting and his haunted house. PLUS Dr Sebi and the HUGE Mexican influence in his practice as a healer and herbalist.
Entrepreneur, multiple business owner and your host, Khadija shares her business Do’s and Don’ts to creating a successful company. If you’re looking to cut the crap and discover the no-nonsense ways to starting, growing and scaling your business and begin living the life you deserve, this episode is for you. Known for keeping it real and cutting the crap, her strong mind and no filter when establishing right from wrong has really helped her to stand out in the entrepreneurial space and enabled her to be respected by entrepreneurs and celebrities. Join Khadija as she provides her most useful top tips and as always, keeps it real. KEY TAKEAWAYS Khadija's Entrepreneurial Do’/Don'ts. Do - Use Quickbooks or Xero as soon as you start trading, and manage your finances from the beginning. Do Not - Do payroll yourself. For as little as £50 per ten employees, you can outsource this from others. Do - Promote yourself on social media and use a reputable company if you require some assistance. Do Not - Spend all of your money on social media and marketing until you are earning enough organically. Do - Employ staff for your company's growth. Do Not - Employ staff unnecessarily. You should be aware of each staff member return on investment and the revenue they will each individually bring to your business. Do Not - Pay a £28k salary for an email manager or an administrator if your turnover cannot justify this. KEEP COSTS LOW. Do - Be ambitious. Do Not - Be deluded. If you are not earning a livable wage after 12 months, you need to find out the reason why. Do - Be friendly to your staff. Do Not - Be their friend. If you allow friendships to form, lines become blurred and boundaries are crossed. Keep those boundaries clear. Do - Be a company owner. Do Not - Be a managing director, if people management is not your strong suit. Outsource the inhouse people management if required. Do - Know everything that is going on in your business. Do Not - Do everything in your business. Do not become a one-person army. Leverage, outsource and know where your strengths lie. BEST MOMENTS “I am known for keeping it real and cutting the crap, my strong mind and no filter when establishing right from wrong has really helped me stand out in the entrepreneurial space” “ I am honest about how hard business and life can be as a mother in a relationship and more so I am about to share a few home truths and snippets of what I think will help you.” “Do not pay a 28k salary for email management/admin if your turnover cannot justify this. This can be outsourced and done well. Keep costs low. Kylie Jenner scenario a one-billion-dollar company 7 staff only 3 of them full time and a store on shopify” [In reference to her post on social media] “ DO post things like this on social media. DO NOT worry about accompanying it with a picture, it helps capture people's attention. People may have scrolled through otherwise to help engage the audience” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://quickbooks.intuit.com https://www.xero.com/uk/advisors/find-advisors/ ABOUT THE HOST Keep it real with Khadija is an interview-based podcast hosted by Khadija Kalifa. To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. - Titus 1:15-16 NIV But give as alms the things that are within you, and you will see that everything is clean for you. - Luke 11:41 CHILD-LIKE FAITH HAS PURE MOTIVES SELF AWARENESS and HUMILITY When we DO KNOW OURSELVES we stop JOCKEYING FOR POWER and POSITIONS When we DON'T KNOW our own MOTIVATIONS we often PROJECT them on others WITHOUT REALIZING IT HONESTY and BOLDNESS When we DO KNOW our DESIRES we can PRAY BOLDLY When we DON'T we SUSPECT OTHERS of our level of DISHONESTY TRUST and CONFIDENCE When we speak from a PURE HEART we can BELIEVE OTHERS and OURSELVES When we speak from a DIVIDE HEART we can BELIEVE OUR OWN ABILITY to PURIFY OURSELVES There is a generation of those who are pure in their own eyes and yet unwashed of their filth. - Proverbs 30:12 Be careful that no one falls short of the grace of God, so that no root of bitterness will spring up to cause trouble and defile many. - Hebrews 12:15

If you’re struggling, at some level, you’re committed to the struggle. Today I take you through a process that I use to help people let go of their struggle. What do YOU expect? When you feel like you simply DO NOT KNOW. Then focus in on what you do know. What you DO KNOW that makes you feel the opposite of struggle, suffering, or hard… What do you KNOW to be TRUE that’ll give you a feeling of peace and power? Get back to what you truly desire. What do YOU DESIRE? What is it that you’re afraid to say out loud? Start speaking it out. Express it. Stay open to outcome, but not necessarily attached to it. Yes, your desires coming to pass may look a little differently than you think they will. Are you willing to receive them as they present themselves? As YOU present yourself? Start working WITH you, and not against you. Stop trying to work ON you, versus WITH YOU. Enter into who you really are, and believe the EMPOWERING TRUTH about you. What do YOU EXPECT? Are you willing to HOPE? Are you willing to let go of anything that’s not serving as a tool to build what you say you desire? Please grab your SACRED S.O.L. D.A.T.E. I’m talking to you, for you, about you...because of you. Right now, you may be saying to yourself, "I don’t feel so certain." That’s okay, because I promise that by the end of this episode, you’ll feel more certain. Can we get that agreement? Can we get the anticipation and expectation up? Get your hopes up to have increased certainty. SHOW NOTES... The connection of certainty is like plugging in my microphone. Without it, everything else falls short and things don’t work. You may be standing up, showing up, and speaking up…but not being heard. Your metaphorical microphone isn’t plugged in if you aren't certain. 1. Get certain about what you DO KNOW by connecting with YOU…your heart and soul. You must connect with your heart and soul. No one can do it for you. You can know WHAT to do, but if you’re not first connected to your heart and soul…YOU…and the KNOWING within you, then you’ll lack the CERTAINTY necessary to do it, be heard, and to live the life you desire. CERTAINTY. “Without a doubt.” Certitude.” (I like that. An attitude of certainty.) CERTITUDE. “Freedom from doubt, especially in matters of faith or opinion; certainty.” CERTAIN. This word takes me back to when I wrote my first book, Dr. Shannon Knows…The 12 Steps of WELLTHY People: How to Make Healthy Your Habit. I looked up the words certain and sure. They’re used interchangeably. I remember reading one time that “a trustworthy messenger brings healing.” Trustworthy means, “certain and sure.” So...someone that’s “certain and sure” actually brings healing. If you’re looking for healing in your life, or healing in the area of your certainty, today’s the day to be TRUSTWORTHY. Are you worthy of YOUR trust? What are you certain and sure about? CERTAIN. “Free from doubt or reservation. Sure. Established as true. Fixed. Agreed upon. Trustworthy.” Yes, a trustworthy - certain and sure -messenger brings healing. You are the greatest healer from within. YOU are a healer within. Yes, I’m a Healing Life Coach. A healer. That didn’t happen with me trying to HEAL other people. It happened with me receiving the healing that was already available to me - on the inside of me. And that’s what I’m talking about today. If you desire to be CERTAIN, you must first make the connection between your heart and soul. Then get what you desire and believe in alignment, mixed with the foundation of trust and truth…you’ll be unstoppable. YOU’LL BE CERTAINLY UNSTOPPABLE. 2. Get Clear. Clarity is King and Queen. If you have clarity and certainty, you’ll be king of your domain, castle, and kingdom…YOUR QUEENDOM. The QUEENDOM that you’re creating is what you desire. It’s YOUR LIFE. God gave you a call, purpose, and mission for your life. No one else can fulfill that but YOU, my dear. You must get clear about this. Often we spend so much time thinking about what we don’t know. instead of what we do know. Tap into what you DO KNOW about YOU, your desires, and what you’re creating. Connect with who you are. Get clear about who you are. Get clear and committed to pursuing YOU, your heart, soul, and desires. Pursue HER to get to KNOW HER like never before. I remember the day I decided to pursue me, like it was yesterday. It was after I heard the voice of God in my heart, asking me if I loved myself. Dumbfounded and unable to speak, I then heard, “Don’t worry, I understand. Because in order to love you, you must know you. In order to know you, you must spend time with you.” Then I heard this, “Date Yourself.” This is when my Journey of Certainty began. Get to know yourself. We spend so much time trying to get known by others, to get to know others, or to BE KNOWN. This is all ridiculous if YOU don’t know YOU. If you don’t receive you, how can you give yourself to anyone else? Am I making myself clear? This is KEY. This is the TRUTH. This is a trustworthy message. I am the trustworthy messenger bringing you a certain and sure message of healing. IF YOU RECEIVE IT. Get clear about who you are, what you desire and what you believe. Stephen is the CEO of Predictive ROI and host of the Onward Nation podcast. He is the author of two bestselling books, speaker, trainer, and his digital marketing insights have been featured in SUCCESS, Entrepreneur, The Washington Post, Forbes, Inc. Magazine, and other media. Good Morning Onward Nation...I’m Stephen Woessner. Before we jump into today’s topic...I just want to say thank you for all the feedback...the emails...the text messages...the Facebook posts...the tweets...and the comments on LinkedIn. I am so grateful for you being here and being part of the every growing community that is Onward Nation. Please continue to let me know what you think of Onward Nation...good or bad...I always want your feedback. My direct email address is stephen@onwardnation.com -- and yes -- that is my actual Inbox. No fancy filters or filing system and I read and reply to every single email. So please let me know how you think we are doing. I look forward to hearing from you. Now, during today’s solocast, I want to focus your attention on one four letter word that we all hear quite often -- or at least the manifestation of the word -- when we are in conversations with other business owners, friends, family, or even in the self-talk we have with ourselves...and that four letter word is FEAR! To feel fear is of course natural. Everyone feels it whether in business or in life -- it is a human emotion that is as much a part of us as breathing. But the key is to be able to recognize that fear is all in your mind -- it doesn’t actually exist -- therefore it has no real power over you unless you let it. But oftentimes people are embarrassed to admit their fears -- or that they are feeling fearful about something. So they try to mask it by saying “Oh no...I’m not scared...or I’m not afraid...I’m just stressed.” And as I learned from Tony Robbins...anytime someone says to you that they are just “stressed”...that is code for… “Help, I’m afraid or fearful about something going wrong.” To help illustrate these important points about FEAR...I am going to share a deeply personal story with you, Onward Nation...a story that I have not shared during in a solocast before. Maybe I have been afraid to, because I am always self-conscious about an episode being too much about me...and then missing the mark with being relevant. It’s a story from way back...23 years ago to be exact...the summer of 1992. I was the ripe old age of 20. I was an airman in the United States Air Force stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base just outside of Rapid City, South Dakota. My job was like 100 percent pure adrenaline nearly every day. You see...I had the honor of working on the Minuteman II Intercontinental Ballistic Missile System -- or ICBMs for short...yes, nuclear missiles. So for about 3-½ years...my office...was deep inside missile silos...and I loved every second of it. And I got pretty good at troubleshooting systems, fixing the systems, and my curiosity for bigger and more complex challenges grew more and more insatiable. Then one day -- I met my match. Listen to the rest of the story in the episode. Onward Nation, I had a choice that day in the silo. I could have chosen to be paralyzed by fear, which would have caused us to lose critical time, and then that could have cost me my life, or perhaps the lives of my teammates. Or, I could decide to push through the fear and do what I knew MUST be done. I have never been scared. I was fearful. I thought there was the distinct possibility might die inside that silo. And it was also exhilarating -- I felt blood pumping into areas of my body that I didn’t know existed. But where did the power and energy to move forward through the fear come from? It is because finding a solution was a MUST...it was not a SHOULD...and we were prepared to take action and make the result outcome so. Steve -- who you will meet inside the full story in the episode -- and I did not look at each other and ask, “What do you think...should we find a solution to this problem?” No! We were all in. We were PREPARED and fully committed to finding a solution. It was a MUST because our lives depending on finding a solution. And we made it so. So how does all of this relate to you inside your business, Onward Nation? Most of us when we are fearful in our business — or in relationships — we are not afraid because we don’t know what needs to be done. Instead, we are afraid to do what we DO KNOW needs to be done. The only reason we are afraid is because we haven’t made that opportunity, that decision, that new venture, that new hire, that need business partner...a MUST. It is still a SHOULD...and we are asking ourselves questions like, “Should I do this?” “Should I consider this instead?” “Should I wait a little while longer?” Should I ask the advice of a couple more people?” And then what happens is that we “SHOULD” all over ourselves. JUST DECIDE...make it a MUST...and move forward with gusto, Onward Nation! Let’s take this deeper by bringing in some insights and wisdom from several of our Onward Nation guests. Aaron Walker, my incredible guest on episode 108, said to me, “You need to fear missing an opportunity more than you fear failure.” Just think about that for a moment. “You need to fear missing an opportunity more than you fear failure.” You will miss all of the shots you never take...you will fail at all of the new product introductions you never introduce...every high performing employee you never hire and take a chance on, will be lost opportunity. And the list goes on. The NBA legend Michael Jordan once said, “A loss is never a failure until you make an excuse.” So stop making excuses, Onward Nation and instead pursue all of those opportunities with gusto...with proactivity...with all of the energy and enthusiasm that pursuing a MUST requires. As if nothing else matters. And then there was the powerful message I learned from the wisdom of Kara Ronin, my guest on episode 96. She said to me, “Stephen, you can only grow as far as your biggest fear – there’s always going to be fear that will limit you if you let it.” BOOM, Onward Nation. Fear will drag you down and keep you there if you let it. But realize...it is you who is allowing that to happen because you are manufacturing the fear. It is your creation. But if we follow Kara’s advice...and we do not let fear limit us...then we can rush into that missile silo and diffuse the situation...or we can rush into our businesses, Onward Nation and ignite the sales forecast, we can hire the team members you know you will need, we can have the courage to invest in R&D, or have the guts to fire the destructive customer that Scott McKain in episode 1 warned us about. And last but not least...I want you to thoughtfully consider the wise words of Leanne Pressly, my guest for episode 48. “Fear can be crippling in a business — learn to slay the dragon and keep it at bay.” So when you are finished listening and studying this episode...take 10 minutes...sit quietly...without distractions...and thoughtfully consider this question, “Who or what is the dragon in my business right now that I need to slay in order to move to that next level?” And then realize that any of the fears you have associated with that dragon -- or the slaying of that dragon -- are completely made up in your own mind. They are all in your mind. Just DECIDE to slay the dragon, Onward Nation, and make it a MUST! Don’t be paralyzed by fear. You are more beautiful…more amazing…more powerful than you could ever possibly imagine. You have an abundance of talents and God given skills within you that you haven’t even begun to reach for yet. Sometimes we all need someone to help you uncover those things so you can see and realize you are powerful beyond measure. My hope for you is that you have realized some of that today while listening to this. I learned several important lessons that day in the silo. First...that anything is possible -- and I -- you -- we all have the power to make it so. Second...I learned that leadership and mentorship can unleash a person’s true potential. Had Steve, my team chief on that day in the silo, shown me fear — I too would have been even more afraid. Had he acted hastily, I would have acted hastily. Had he hesitated, I would have hesitated. He did not stand up and say… “Follow me because I am your leader…I am your mentor.” He earned that position and respect from me through his actions. He showed me talents and abilities I didn’t even know I had. Onward Nation...you need to do the same things for the employees you lead in your business every day. So with that... I want to say again, thank you for taking the time to be here with me today. It is an honor to have you here -- thank you for tuning in -- your time is sacred and I am delighted you chose this episode to be what you listen to, study, and take with you on your morning run, or maybe Onward Nation has become part of your daily commute, or in some other way has become part of your morning routine. However our daily podcast fits into your daily routine -- I want you to know how much I appreciate you sharing some of your invaluable 86,400 seconds you have in your day with me and the strategies we learn and share each day from today’s top business owners. I will be back tomorrow with my interview with Bill Hoagland -- another one of today’s top business owners. And the discussion is off-the-charts amazing. Until then, onward with gusto!
