It was definitely not a classic, but Fulham's win against Sheffield United was much needed, taking us just a single win from Newcastle in 17th. In this episode, we look back at all the talking points from our narrow win against the Blades. We debate whether Scott rotated his squad well in this match, and why we initially struggled to break down United's low block. And did Chris Wilder have a right to be incensed by the non-award of a penalty at the end of the game. We then take a look at your questions, which included Anguissa's wayward shooting, could our play-off experience help in high-pressure matches, and whether Mitro gets back in the side for the Palace match. It's Christmas, so it's time to spread some love and festive cheer! We say hello to Mancs, Geordies, Baggies and whatever the residents of Burnley are called. The Premier League is the only league in the world where it's traditional top 6 clubs are capable of dropping points in the same weekend, and that is why we love it! Man Utd and Man City shared the spoils as both decided a point would be better than risking losing three. Everton was seemingly outplayed and yet still managed to send Lampard's blues packing empty-handed. Joint league leaders, Tottenham Hotspurs and Liverpool both dropped points to London clubs who welcomed back their fans to the ground for the first time - highlighting exactly how significant they are to a team's performance! Perhaps, the biggest shock - for the GLTV squad - was both West Ham and Newcastle walking away with solid victories leaving the Hammers 6th and the Geordies 12th on the log, respectively. Moreover, the gunners finally had Aubameyang hit the back of the net...albeit his own! After no wins in 5 games and with a total of 13 points from 12 games, Arteta's gunners are looking worryingly more like relegation candidates instead of Champions League qualifying competitors. With a confident Southampton on the horizon, it is hard to see any light down the tunnel for Arsenal. This is episode 9 of #TheCoolDown TOP SIX FIRE BLANKS! Are Arsenal in a relegation battle? Hammers keep pounding! | #TheCoolDown | 09

Welcome To The Gin Ignite PodcastWhether you want to party or have a quiet night in gin will ignite NewsHello and Welcome to Episode 14 Interesting thinking about what Ian from https://www.logogeek.uk (LogoGeek) said last week Discussed brand as folder in your mind Key takeaway for me was thinking about who you are planning to appeal to with your posts Think about a story to differentiate yourself and be unique don't copy Don't think Mont CervGin will be taking off too soon but a guest coming up soon maybe able to help me with that one. Weekly Gin RecommendationThis weeks recommendation is from the https://www.instagram.com/penderyn.distillery/ (Penderyn Distillery) and is Brecon Gin. In 1990s friends in a pub were talking about creating a whiskey distillery and they 'dreamt of creating a whisky as pure and precious as Welsh gold, represented today by Penderyn's ‘gold seam'. They did that. I loved the whiskey and so had to try the gin They use the base grain spirit that they use for the whiskey and create a gin with botanicals from the four corners of the world The nose is very much London Dry Gin i.e. heavily juniper based The flavour profile begins with an initial sweet taste followed by a citrus and then with the dry juniper taste at the back of the profile. This is a very smooth gin and 43% and goes nicely with a light tonic such as standard, Mediterranean or Elderflower. It could easily lend itself to a cocktail and is smooth enough to work as a dry martini although would not be my first choice. It has a proud place on my gin shelf and for anyone who loves a London Dry Gin with something a little bit special I can thoroughly recommend. St George's duo Chris Bass Jr and Furo Davies join us to look ahead to this weekend's tie with St Mary's, plus reflect on Geordies season so far after a summer of flux at Glencrutchery Road. The pair talk #trilbies, #roasties and room-mates among other things as well as looking ahead to Saturday's big games including the other Cup semi-final involving Peel and Corinthians. If that wasn't enough for you there's #CombiCorner, #DaveReadstheWeather and Furo reveals a new football charity drive - #BallaBoots - he's championing. #isleofman #manxfootball #grassrootsfootball
This episode is dedicated to the work of the late British documentary photographer Tish Murtha, whose work can currently be seen at The Photographer's Gallery in London. The Tish Murtha: Works 1976-1991 exhibition covers 6 bodies of work; Newport Pub (1976/78); Elswick Kids (1978); Juvenile Jazz Bands (1979); Youth Unemployment (1980); London by Night (1983) and Elswick Revisited (1987 – 1991). Tish Murtha was a photographer from the north east of England, whose work has only recently started receiving the recognition I think it deserves. Sadly Murtha died in 2013, aged just 56, but her daughter Ella has done a fantastic job of getting her mother's photographic archive out there, including getting two books published through kickstarter. Murtha concentrated on documenting the working class and the marginalised, mainly communities around Newcastle upon Tyne and the North East of England. She wasn't documenting from the outside, she was documenting from the inside, and that's why her photos are so successful. She manages to evoke empathy without becoming sentimental. Apologies to any Geordies if I've been mispronouncing 'Elswick' - I believe it may be a silent W! Do visit Tish Murtha's website, run by her daughter Ella. You can now buy the book of her series Youth Unemployment, or help fund the publication of Elswish Kids via Kickstarter. There's an interesting 5-minute video of the curators talking about the exhibition. You can find some of the photos discussed on our Pinterest page for this episode. Another week and another Newcastle United defeat so we invite fellow Newcastle fan Ashley James onto the podcast to cheer up Producer Mark! She spills the beans on her favourite footballers, John Barnes and a cabbage is star of the news! See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Stamford Chidge is joined by Chelsea legend Kerry Dixon to pick up from last weekend's victory over Arsenal and look ahead to Sunday's match against Newcastle.Kerry and Chidge ponder the exciting start to Chelsea's season but err on the side of patience as to where it might take the side with question marks about the defence. Morata's goal will do wonders for his confidence but it was Alonso and Hazard's cameo which caught the eye. Chidge asks what does Chelsea need to do to keep Eden Hazard - perhaps making him Captain?Looking ahead to Newcastle on Sunday, they have been something of a bogey side for the Blues with our last win at St James' Park coming in 2011.Hopefully Hazard will start in what Kerry expects to be much the same team selected for the Arsenal match. Chidge makes the case for Kovacic starting in place of Barkley while conceding that the latter has made a good start to the season.Either way Chidge and Kerry feel Chelsea will have enough to dispatch the Geordies. For the first time in about 5 years, The Chelsea FanCast broadcast live from a pub after the Newcastle match.Held in the Chelsea Pensioner pub just round the corner from Stamford Bridge, the podcast was a joint effort between Chelsea FanCast and our podcasting cousins from the USA - London is Blue - who were over for the match with a group of fellow Chelsea supporters from the States.Stamford Chidge was joined by fellow FanCasters Jonathan Kydd, Alex 'The Girl Who Likes Ball's' Churchill and Dan Silver and from London is Blue, Brandon Busbee, Nick Verlaney and Dan Dormer all joined by a lively audience who were definitely fueled by Guinness and enjoying the post match glow of 3 points against the Geordies. The boys discussed the Newcastle match with Eden Hazard once again on fine form and dazzling us all with a superb 2 goal performance. Unlike Kevin Friend who was not the first referee to put in a stinker at the Bridge.Of course the return of Rafa was on the agenda and Chidge has plenty to say about the revisionism that seems to have occurred in the 4 years since Rafa thankfully left the Bridge. The London is Blue boys discuss what it is like for them to watch Chelsea play in the flesh, how much fun the pre and post-match is and how important understanding terrace culture is to them.Tim Rolls, author of the 'Diamonds, Dynamos and Devils' book about the Tommy Docherty Chelsea side of the 1960's popped in to have a chat about the book and also the new 'Carefree: Chelsea Chants and Terrace Culture' book written by Mark Worrall and Walter Otton. All this plus plenty of questions from the audience and lots and lots of Chelsea songs!A proper old school Chelsea FanCast-London is Blue mash up! I think I made the most of my international break. I spent some time with family, ruined a family picture, jumped from a moving vehicle, and a bunch of other things I’m not willing to commit to writing. If you followed my Instagram story I’d like to apologize for what you may have seen. I also used the break as an opportunity to talk with three different podcast hosts about their podcasts, Saints, and our upcoming match against Newcastle. First off, I spoke with James George (@mrjamesgeorge on Twitter), who hosts the the @saintsfanspod along with Marc Higgins (@MarcTR4). We talked about James and his family moving to California, what his life was like growing up playing football, doing reality TV, working at TalkSport, and winding up running two podcasts here in the US. If you haven’t listened to them yet you really should give them a shot. Tis the season for the big-guns, those huge annual releases that everybody goes mental for, so we play a game of Would You Rather, video-game style. We also wonder what's behind the "Games That We've Picked For You" section on the Xbox Store front. Inlcudes bad impressions, namely Geordies and Lightsabers. Explicit Warning, Plenty of naughty words. Music courtesy of https://www.bensound.com/ and http://www.freesfx.co.uk/ Our new website is http://pinkandbluexbox.weebly.com/
Watford 0 - 6 Manchester City Manchester United 4 - 0 Everton Newcastle 2 - 1 Stoke Manchester-klubberne tordner derudaf i Premier League.
Hottest day of the year celebrated by Mikill, Harley and Reece. The boys chatted about few Geordies pretending to be suitcases on an airport carousel. Tizzy Gang stopped by the studio to chat about their album Opps Next Door. Ian got in touch about a Monopoly house being stuck in his wife’s vagina and Cher was worried about her dad’s obsession with his car.
The final #ManxFootyPod of the campaign is an end-of-season 'spectacular'. We've got interviews with St George's trio Chris Bass Jr, Joey Morling and Andy Perry after they won at Tuesday's Football Writers awards. We also caught up with Sean Quaye after Geordies completed an historic third #GrandSlam of #Manx football's major silverware on Sunday. If that wasn't enough for you we share your moments of the season. #football #nonleaguefootball #isleofman #manxfootball
The #ManxFootyPod returns this week to look ahead to the Easter weekend's cup finals. Joining us to talk about his side #Peel's appearance in Monday's #FPIFACup final with St George's is Matty Woods. The midfielder discusses the westerners chances of retaining the trophy and denying Geordies the Grand Slam, plus reflects on his inclusion in the #IsleofMan's #IslandGames squad for #Gotland2017. We also touch on the #UEFA debate plus look ahead to Saturday's #WoodsCup final between #Braddan and #Castletown. #Manx #football #nonleague
It may not have been pretty, we may have passed the Geordies into a nap but Arsenal still managed (and deserved) to pick up all three points. Paul (@PoznanInMyPants) and Elliot (@YankeeGunner) discuss the players performances and cross fingers about the up coming closure of the transfer window See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
#69. On this week's show, a look back on United's FA Cup semi-final loss to Manchester City and the Premier League draw with Newcastle United. Are United still on course for the title? We ponder why the Geordies hate Michael Owen so much, and look ahead to Everton in the Premier League this weekend and Schalke in the Champions League next week!No Question About That is available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon Music and all good podcast apps.
