David Bergman is a legend in the world of concert photography, and he is someone I have looked up to for a long time. That may be the best summary of David I can come up with, that I am a fan, and honored to call him a friend. For those not aware of David's work, David is a New York based commercial photographer and photo educator who specializes in action, music and portraiture photographer. David is one of the rare talents that can pull off any genre of photography. He is also a world class educator, something I don't want to bury down in paragraph seven somewhere. I will go into detail there, but it needs to be stated early on in this discussion. His education talent, his ability to truly understand the art of photography and be able to teach it to others is front and center to who David is. David has been on the show twice before, first back on Episode 48 for "Composition, Creativity, and Workflow", and then as a guest on Image Critique #9. For that first show, I knew most people would expect a live music image, since David is the current tour photographer for country super star Luke Combs and is well know for being Bon Jovi's tour photographer. I didn't want to be that predictable however, so we chose an image he shot for Canon USA, knowing full well I would need to get him back on one day to talk music photography. As I mentioned above, David's current running tour gig is as the photographer for Luke Combs, one of the most successful country artists working today. As the official tour photographer for Bon Jovi and Luke Combs, he has documented bands on stage and on the road in more than 30 countries. He has also toured with Barenaked Ladies and Gloria Estefan, and has worked with Avril Lavigne and Joss Stone. David has also done a lot of celebrity work, for the likes of Drew Carey and others. All of this adds up to David being one of the top photographers working in the entertainment space today, and to David being in the rare class of photographers known as Canon Explorers of Light. One of the things he is best known for is being a pioneer of the GigaPan technique for making very high resolution images, and his Gigapan of President Obama's first inaugural speech was viewed by more than 30 million people. His 20,000 megapixel image of Yankee Stadium was printed at 130 feet wide and displayed at the Canon Expo in 2015, a technique he has also used for commercial clients including NBC and MLB.com. David at times seems to be able to do anything with a camera. Hopefully you're starting to see what I meant when I mentioned his level of talent. Before moving to New York City in 2001, he was a photojournalist on staff at The Miami Herald and covered news and sporting events around the world. Moving from being a staff photographer to where he is today has been an interesting path. David has had 13 Sports Illustrated covers, including his image of New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees raising his son over his head after winning the Super Bowl. He has covered multiple Olympics, World Series, Super Bowls, NBA and NCAA championships, and Stanley Cup Finals. That brings us to the education side of David. I would argue that this is where David shines. He stars in and produces a show for AdoramaTV called "Ask David Bergman", which I would argue may be the best photography tutorial series there is. Short, straight to the point answers to questions that matter. He is also a sought after speaker, having done workshops and seminars for Canon, Apple, Adorama, Best Buy, and Columbia University. Deserving of it's own paragraph here are David's Shoot From the Pit workshops. These in-person workshops are amazing, and I know because I took one this past year. Shoot From the Pit is a chance to learn how to photograph concerts from David Bergman. It's starts early in the day with David doing a multi-hour presentation. He shares everything you need to know about shooting photos at a concert - the gear, the settings,
UFO Experts Claim There Reptile Alien Sightings in NASA Photos Link: https://inet.detik.com/science/d-4961866/pakar-ufo-klaim-ada-penampakan-alien-reptil-di-foto-nasa Jakarta -People who claim to be UFO experts say there are alien sightings in the form of reptiles on Planet Mars . Based on the statement, these reptiles live together with an alien race that lives there. Quoted from IBTimes , this claim again came from Scott Waring who was involved in the search for evidence of alien life. Through his ET Data Base website, Waring said the photos he observed were owned by Gigapan, a website of photographs of the Red Planet taken from one of NASA's rover vehicles, Curiosity Based on detailed photos, the sightings were taken on SOL 1448 which is the same as September 1, 2016 on Earth. At that time Waring looked at the photo and found a strange-looking object to the left of the picture, then he enlarged the picture. "When I saw Sol 1448 Mars, I noticed a strange creature on the hill. The object was like a lizard species, but not as we see it on Earth," Waring wrote in his upload. In an inspired promotional event for the new series, the History Channel set up a 12-hour livestream at the location on You Tube. For the most part, the feed was uneventful. After all, when the Sherman's lived there back in the 1990's they were plagued by paranormal activity, cattle mutilations, creature manifestations, aliens and UFOs. The land was cursed by the Navajos so anything can and does happen. At 9:45:15 when a meteor is captured onscreen. Show Stuff Join the fan chat on Discord! Divya Rao Heffley has spent the past three years bringing the Hillman Photography Initiative to life at the Carnegie Museum of Art. As program manager, she collaborates with both an internal and four external agents—experts in a variety of fields within photography—on developing a two year cycle of programing that engages audiences in discussions about the photograph. The Initiative seeks to do just that, set in motion a dialog in order to answer question and develop (pun absolutely intended) many more about the impact that photography has had on our lives since its inception. We use it to document our world for myriad reasons everyday and with the advent of the smartphone it's never been a more accessible tool. It's easy and frankly redundant to comment on how the digital revolution has made a number of technologies more accessible but when you sit back and look at the history of image making, the timeline from photography's inception to today is filled with astounding milestones in a very short period of time. It begs the question, what's possible next? CMOA want to collaborate with us on the answer. The website, nowseethis.org and the #nowseethis shifts the audience away from the traditional and institutional use of the museum space and into an “incubator for innovative thinking on the photographic image”. I use their words here because it's the most concise and yet open ended terminology to describe the innovative approach being used at CMOA. (You guys, if you can't tell yet this is pretty damn exciting). We create pictures to frame and preserve the moments in time most interesting or important to us, (a subjective use of these terms is hopefully inferred here). Whether that's documenting a fender bender or taking a family portrait, the individual image holds it's own purpose. How does that change over time or when those images are collected and placed near each other? Each of the Initiative's projects plays with this in it's own way, with discussion about an individual photograph, (This Picture, Orphaned Images) or presenting a collection of some kind, (The Invisible Photograph , The Sandbox). There are multiple places of entry and the topics to discuss are vast making possibilities for this Initiative multilayered and extremely exciting—something you can easily pick up on in my conversation with Divya. Pittsburgh, I better see you checking this out. I'm serious. The Hillman Photography Initiative lives online with programing also found inside the museum so there is something for the hermit like individual to adventurous art goer to plug into. At the very least, I want to see an absurd amount of submissions in The People's History of Pittsburgh. Enjoy my chat with Divya, and I'll see you around the Internet. Social sites it should be a matter of common sence, if you post content you relinquish ownership in some cases. If however you store content on a site specifically designed for content storage and or backup then that site should be held responsible. For sites like email then you use their service in good faith that they can keep your account safe, so yes they should be held responsible also. All financial or personal data sites like medical info should also be held responsible. If you download something for free, buy something from an unknown app developer, or use opensource software then you can only blaim yourself should anything happen. Likening this to the lemonade thing, if you buy little susies lemonade its something usually made by a child so you are accepting the risk of getting sick, its common sence. If however you go to a fast food or reseraunt and buy a soda or something then its supposed to be a drink from a reputable source and your buying it in good faith that it wont make you sick, and therfore the resteraunt or fast foos place should be held responsible. Its basically common sence law.Sorry about the spelling, my tablet doesn't seem to have, or I can' find the spell checker. I have auto correct off cause it was driving me nuts. Episode 11 of the Digital Convergence Podcast by 16x9 Cinema with host Carl Olson - a visual artist, photographer, and filmmaker based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Jay Burlage is an architect turned HDR and time-lapse filmmaker and innovator. Jay discusses adapting a Meade telescope mount into a GigaPan-clone nicked-named the "MiLapse" for automating panning while shooting time-lapse. He discusses his involvement with Timescapes.org and Openmoco.org. Our discussion gets really geeky with Jay discussing time-based tone mapping for HDR video and developments in the openmoco project. Amazing stuff! Jay also talks about a special PBS project where he is a principle time-lapse photographer. From time to time, Jay's cat makes an occasional appearance. Caution: time-lapse may be habit forming. 16x9 Cinema is not responsible for any problems resulting from time-lapse addiction. Our longest episode yet at over 1 hour, 18 minutes. Well worth the listen!

GigaPan Conversations: diversity and inclusion in the community.
Illah Nourbakhsh examines Gigapan.
This week, Gigapan gives us new Commie spying technology, Blizzard finally decides to update WoW, and not to address balance issues, and Ewe Boll can't seem to find a home.
It's been a while, but we're back! Links to VoiceThread for Education, Kerpoof, Poll Everywhere, Gigapan, and more. Also thanks to two students who lent their voice for teacher learning.
The GigaPan Conversations project seeks to promote empathy and understanding between cultures and create a greater sense of global community through curriculum innovations and students's classroom practices that involve the exchange of explorable, high-resolution digital imagery. The technology, inspired by NASA's Mars Rover Project, serves as a platform for learners to broaden their understanding of culture. This documentary features students from South Africa who, along with students from the United States and Trinidad and Tobago, took part in a pilot programme where they made high-resolution panoramas of events and places of importance in their communities.
