The movie part of our journey is finally at an end as we discuss the awkward fit of the Maximals into what is clearly a soft Transformers reboot... or should that be the awkward fit of the Transformers into what is clearly a Beast Wars movie? Plus mileage on Pete Davidson as Mirage, some sad Peter Cullen truths, the return of blah human protagonists, and the future of a Hasbro Cinematic Universe.
As Hasbro begins building its cinematic universe in real life, Michael and Rob welcome Jeeg and David May to talk about how they would do it. Following the MCU model, each person has picked a Hasbro game or toy to adapt into a movie that then connects somehow into the other movies, all leading to an Avengers-style crossover blockbuster. Madness or genius? You decide!

Plus, I play the 2017 Kirby Krackle Holiday single and I talk about the upcoming show from Strangely Alright and the new music video for Casualty from Flicker and Fade. Strangely Alright is playing a show on 12/23 at The Swiss in Tacoma. Nicole Perlman burst onto the scene with 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy. She wrote the original screenplay for the film (which was a product of her work with the Marvel Writing Program) back in 2009. She's also cowriter on 2019's Captain Marvel; cowriting (with Alex Hirsch!) Detective Pikachu, a Pokemon feature film; writer on the Gamora ongoing comic from Marvel; and is attached to the upcoming "Hasbro Cinematic Universe" films. And that's just what she can talk about - even if only by scratching the surface.
It doesn't get much more hellish than the Transformers 5 trailer. Can we please end Bay's run, please? At least Matty's run is ending, but man they too are going out with a bang, in a bad way. Star Wars at least has what we hope is a shining light coming out this week in Rogue One. Unfortunately, much less exciting and the only Joe news is the most likely disappointing Hasbro Cinematic Universe.
The Hasbro Cinematic Universe is under the microscope in this episode. Will it rock? Will it suck? We also pick out our favourite Joe Con 2016 reveals, and weed out some less inspiring ones...
