On this episode of Local Refresh, Brandon and Bryan talk with Greg Cooper, Athletic Director at Indiana University Kokomo. The athletic program at IUK began in 2011. Greg explains how the decision is made to add new sports and the process in which it is executed. Since the program is still young, Mr. Cooper talks about how IUK students and staff have worked to create a story and begin to build a legacy for current and future Cougars.

Annual maintenance has pushed output from British domestic gas fields down in August. While not remarkable in itself, the lack of UKCS supply has made the impact of issues with Norwegian production and waning LNG deliveries more acute, lifting prices on the NBP gas hub. ICIS reporters Ellie Chambers and Thomas Rodgers discuss the ongoing and future implications of the maintenance.

Natural gas prices at the British NBP market have plummeted following the start of maintenance on the Interconnector pipeline, which links Britain to mainland Europe. Market experts Thomas Rodgers and Jack Elliott discuss how the market has reacted and why the impact of the outage has been particularly acute this year.

British natural gas shippers will be unable to inject into Rough until June due to operational problems at the ageing storage site. ICIS experts Thomas Rodgers and Ben Lee discuss the implications of the latest outage at Rough on the NBP and the wider European gas markets.

They gave shout outs on Episodes 19, 20 and 22, and were kind enough to have me as a guest on Episode 21. Brandon Chapman, “Chap,” was born, raised and currently resides in Peru, Indiana. He grew up a dedicated and die hard Hoosier basketball fan. He graduated from Peru High School and attended Manchester College for one year. In the one year, he finally found love. That is where he met his Hetero life partner, Sig. He currently is a senior at IUK pursuing a degree in communications. He plans to take over the world with his podcast so him and Sig can sit on an island and count their money. He is married (not to Sig) and has two dogs, Milo and Lucy. Josh Sigler, “Sig,” is a fairly accomplished dude who doesn't like to take himself very seriously. The Tipton, Indiana native graduated from Manchester University with a degree in Media Studies in 2006, and spent 10 years as a journalist before opting to leave the business for greener pastures. The multi-award-winning reporter was honored by the Hoosier State Press Association in 2015 as producing the top sports feature series, where he covered several angles of how concussion knowledge has evolved over time, the attitudes toward head trauma, and the viewpoints of local coaches, athletes, trainers and doctors on the subject.
