Happy Friday everyone! Today I have a very special episode for you all. James Dutton is the founder & CEO of Nutricare a company that provides natural innovative health care products to millions of consumers around the globe. Short Story about Nutricare: We make natural innovative health care products because we care. It's in our name, it's in our DNA. When founder James Dutton uncovered that his young son Charlie was reacting to common wound dressings he was motivated to find an alternative solution - only there weren't any. What was uncovered was a staggering number of people that experienced the same problem - 25% of the world's population.Fast forward to 2017 after months of research and discovering how many chemicals lurk in common wound care, Nutricare, and award-winning flagship brand ‘PATCH' was born - a natural, 100% natural bamboo fiber wound dressing with the added goodness of activated charcoal, aloe vera, and coconut oil. We are known for our quality, sustainable and ecological credentials. From the materials and packaging, to the 20,000+ trees planted to offset carbon, everything is considered when we create. As we continue to expand and develop, our future is clear. PATCH was born when James Dutton (the founder of Nutricare) noticed that while trying to protect his son's adventure wounds his skin was in fact reacting badly to a common wound covering and making the wound worse. This puzzled James and he set off on his mission to find out why. He was shocked to discover that there is an array of chemicals that lurk in the common plasters. He became motivated to find better alternatives when he found that Charlie wasn't alone with his reactions. The result (after much evolution) is a completely compostable (and safe for worms) wound care product and Nutricare, the holding company that will ultimately support the development of various sustainable products. We cover how this idea developed, a lot more detail on the actual PATCH strips, how James plans to expand the product range and thoughts on running a sustainable business including going through the B-Corp registration process. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Find the show notes here ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ *** SOCIALIZE WITH US *** Website Instagram Facebook Twitter YouTube

Athea may be a new beginning for James Dutton, but his dance music roots run deep. Half man, half motherboard since he learned to weave a wire as a bairn, Athea speaks the language of technology and bends it to his musical whim. Dutton’s passions took him beyond clubbing to study music technology in Leeds, but it was back to the dance floor they returned when he crossed the pond for the mecca of dance music culture and landed himself residencies at two of the most iconic venues in Ibiza, and the world, Cafe Del Mar and Amnesia. Exploring all corners of the industry, Dutton became technical manager for some of the most high profile clubbing venues in the UK and Ibiza, whilst maintaining his Cream residency, moving dance floors from the booth right across Europe, and making his mark in production from within the studio. Expertly crafting emotion and rhythm from a synthetic world, Dutton’s productions have support from the heavyweights. Deep and dark house with a groove that runs through you like a current, his tunes have been snapped up by Gregor Tresher’s Break New Soil, Alive recordings and Great Stuff. Tunes like ‘Dancing With Strangers’ and ‘Tesla’ found their way to crowds through Marco Carola, Sasha, Steve Lawler, John Digweed, with Richie Hawtin regularly opening sets with ‘Kepler' for a summer. A decade percolating deep within the music industry and a lifetime of musical appreciation stands behind the new alias, Athea. The debut EP out soon on Hot since 82's Knee Deep In Sound Imprint sound marks the beginning of a new phase, which will see Athea spark the life into dancefloors worldwide.
