In today's episode of Tech Talks Daily, I sit down with Jon Wolfe, President of Global Systems and Services at Light & Wonder, a leader in the casino technology space. With the casino industry being a $300 billion giant, it's no surprise that it's eager to embrace cutting-edge technologies, particularly artificial intelligence. Jon brings deep insights into how AI is poised to transform casino floors, enhance player experiences, and tackle some of the industry's most pressing ethical challenges. Jon discusses how AI is reshaping the traditional casino environment by creating more personalized and engaging experiences for players. From generating real-time rewards based on player behavior to detecting when a player is likely to end their gaming session, AI is making it possible for casinos to respond instantly and keep players engaged. However, with great power comes great responsibility. Jon delves into the importance of ethical AI use, transparency in AI-driven decisions, and the measures Light & Wonder takes to protect player data and privacy. This commitment not only builds trust but also ensures that AI is used to foster responsible gaming practices, detect risky behavior, and maintain the integrity of the gaming experience. As we explore the future of AI in the casino industry, Jon shares his vision for 2025, where AI will collaborate more closely with casino operators, automate routine tasks, and continuously improve customer experiences in real-time. He also reflects on his career journey, particularly the impact of his early mentor, Jack Binion, who taught him the value of putting the customer first. These lessons remain at the core of his approach as he leverages AI to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of casino patrons. Join us for a fascinating conversation about the intersection of AI, ethics, and the future of gaming. What does the future hold for AI in casinos, and how will it continue to reshape the industry? Tune in to find out!

“A Texas Heroes & Friends Tribute to Randy Travis” has announced additional performers for the upcoming star-studded show at the Texas Trust CU Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas this Wednesday (Nov. 15). Paul Overstreet, Asleep at the Wheel‘s Ray Benson, Casey Donahew, Pecos & The Rooftop‘s Pecos Hurley, Mike Ryan, Jon Wolfe, Rosie Flores, Waylon Payne, Jolie Holliday and Sonny Burgess have all joined the lineup for the tribute show, which will be filled with many of Travis' 23 No. 1 hits performed live by some of his musical heroes and friends specifically from or greatly associated with the Texas music scene. Texas has been close to Travis' heart since he was a boy, learning about the cowboy lifestyle from his father in rural North Carolina. He always had a special connection with Texas fans and primarily resided in nearby New Mexico in the '90s. In the 2010s, Travis and his wife Mary moved to a ranch in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where they now call home, and have had a deep rooted relationship with the Lone Star State, its culture and its music ever since. A portion of the proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Randy Travis Foundation. The foundation is focused on stroke and aphasia awareness and supporting music education in schools. Previously announced performers include Clay Walker, Cody Jinks, Joe Nichols, Neal McCoy, War Hippies, Braxton Keith, Jacob Tolliver, Whey Jennings, Casey Chesnutt and Garrett Miles. Also, Travis' original touring band will back all of the artists on some of his most enduring songs.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Caden has made a name for himself on the rodeo circuit as both a bull rider and singer. Caden would often play his guitar and sing on the road between rodeo events. After years of riding rough stock with multiple injuries, Caden decided to hang it up and pursue his true passion, music. Caden has released several singles that have made it on to the charts, including Too Good to Turn Down, which currently (as of 01/08/22) is sitting at #37 on the Texas Regional Radio Top 75 and made it's way into the top 200 for 2021. This success opened the door for Caden to tour as a support artist for the most recognized names in Texas Country music including Cody Johnson, Koe Wetzel, Zach Bryan, Sammy Kershaw, Kevin Fowler, Frank Foster, LoCash, Lee Brice, Midland, Billy Currington, Sara Evans, Jon Wolfe, Sam Riggs, Drake White, JB and the Moonshine Band, Zane WIlliams, Red Shahan and several others. Caden and his band recently made their debut at the esteemed Whiskey Jam at the Winners Bar in Nashville. We had the pleasure of interviewing Mikayla Lane over Zoom video.Seventeen-year-old Mikayla Lane recently released her new song, “Ambush”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlAjbpQNCC4Written by Mikayla and John Conrad and produced by Jimmy Ritchey (Jake Owen, Clay Walker, Mark Chestnutt), "Ambush" brings a spunky, cowgirl-themed tale of unexpected love on the range and offers up a western-esque vibe. Mikayla Lane is ambitious and driven--traits branded by her upbringing, lifestyle, personality and passions. With heart, vision and talent beyond her years, she knows what she wants and she is determined to chase her dream; her pursuit began early on. Mikayla was just 13 when she earned a spot on Blake Shelton's OIe Red talent roster, which originated in Shelton's hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma and Mikayla's home state. She has become a staple at the venue in Tishomingo and has appeared on the Ole Red stages in Nashville, Gatlinburg and Orlando. The country music starlet has become a “fan-favorite” at a variety of notable venues, including Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa where she opened for Jon Wolfe. She is the venue's youngest supporting act to date. The songstress has written and co-produced a catalog of original tunes. As a tween, Mikayla recorded and released her debut EP, Rooftop Nights, and has since released seven studio recordings. She co-wrote and co-produced the single “Superman,” recorded in her bedroom and now approaching 80,000 streams, along with the corresponding music video, which premiered on CMT.com in October 2020. Mikayla also co-wrote and co-produced the single, “Drive” in 2021 and the track catapulted to the Top 10 on Spotify's New Music Nashville. In September 2021, Mikayla introduced her sophomore recording project, Miles From Nowhere, featuring four originals that embrace her western lifestyle. In keeping with family tradition and their mutual passion for rodeo and the lifestyle, Mikayla was recently named as the official spokesperson for the nation's largest youth rodeo, the Vegas Tuffest Junior World Championship. We want to hear from you! Haddock's diligent nature mixed with his traditional, authentic style of country music has quickly solidified his spot as a staple in the Red Dirt Country scene. Gearing up to release a string of new singles with hit producer/songwriter and Haddock's manager Trent Willmon (Cody Johnson, Eric Church, Randy Houser, Little Big Town) at the helm, the young talent is on an unprecedented path. Haddock recently released the first taste of new music in nearly 2 years with “Wind It Down” and “Better Than Your Memory”, and is slated to release a collaboration with Jon Wolfe in the coming months. The new project follows Haddock's early 2020 Red Dirt Texas album release which has produced 3 Top 15 Texas Country singles. The Texas A&M Senior clocks more than 150 tour dates a year and has recently opened for artists including Randall King, Steve Wariner, Kevin Fowler, Casey Donahew, Roger Creager and more.Currently boasting more than 3 million streams, Haddock has tracks featured on Spotify's Texas Music Now, Apple Music's Don't Mess With Texas and Amazon Music's Texas Forever playlists. Haddock further solidified his trajectory when he was awarded New Male Vocalist of the Year at the leading Texas award show, the 2020 T3R Awards.Haddock's 10-track, sophomore album entitled Red Dirt Texas, features five songs co-written by Haddock and chart-topping songwriters including Willmon, Kevin Fowler, David Lee Murphy, Terry McBride, Tommy Karlas, John Pierce, Jim Collins and more. Upon its January 2020 release, Red Dirt Texas reached No. 39 on the iTunes Country albums chart. The “Red Dirt Texas” music video made its world premiere on Billboard and has racked up more than 450K views across all platforms. Staying true to his Texas roots, Haddock recently announced a partnership with award-winning Texas based distillery, Texas Ranger Whiskey. Some may be surprised to find out that Haddock is only 22-years-old as he has a musical instinct well beyond his years and sites influences from George Strait, Eric Church, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi and Clay Walker. When Haddock is not juggling classes and tour dates, the avid outdoorsman spends time hunting, fishing and experimenting on his Traeger grill. Having been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at a young age, Haddock works with several organizations to help spread awareness of the disease and is an advocate/speaker for JDRF.This is episode may or may not contain adult content such as strong language, references to smoking, alcohol, sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll. The Youngers, SparkleLucinda Williams, I Won't Back DownLucinda Williams w Margo Price, Changed The LocksSue Foley, Hurricane GirlSarah Shook & the Disarmers, No MistakesSarah Shook & the Disarmers, Talkin' to MyselfKris Rodgers and the Dirty Gems, I Can Still Feel ItKris Rodgers and the Dirty Gems, I'm Your ManGraham Brown, HauntedJon Wolfe, Lost Cause Like MeThe Southern Locomotive Band, ContrabandF. Goons, Crime SpreeThe Courettes, Misfits & FreaksFrank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, StickyHayes Carll, To Keep From Being FoundHayes Carll, Any Other WayRay Scott, As Long As The Bar's OpenTk And The Holy Know-Nothings, Bottom Of The BottleDenton Grenke, Lonesome Number OneJon Wolfe, Lost Cause Like MeCody Johnson, Known For Loving YouGhost Hounds, Someone Just For MeReckless Kelly, SnowfallThe Steve Eggs Band, One Horse TownJoe Stamm Band, Pocketful Of QuartersJesse Dayton, Born With A TailWillie Nelson, I Saw The LightWillie Nelson, All Things Must Pass

THE TROUBADOUR PODCAST - The Premier Red Dirt, Texas Country and Independent Music Podcast
How does a guy go from once working as a commodities trader in Chi-town, to becoming a successful country songwriter and artist along with being an entrepreneur selling his own name brand Tequila? Well, in this interview with Jon Wolfe, we’ll get the skinny on it all. Jon’s journey as a musician and songwriter is unique. While he knew he was always drawn to music, he didn’t take it seriously until college when picked up the guitar and realized he really had a passion for it. After graduation, and following his employer transferring him from Chicago to Houston, Jon started playing open mic nights which eventually led to a relationship with John Evans who was one of his first influencers and really helped him work on his songwriting. As Jon immersed himself in the Texas music scene, he eventually got to know a few other artists and even was roommates with Hayes Carll for a time. Eventually, Jon ended up in Nashville with a deal and was writing up to 3 times a day on Music Row where he was able to learn a lot and cultivate his craft which he talks about in the interview. When the deal fell through, Jon ended up moving back to Texas and putting his solo career as a Texas Country Music artist into motion. While Jon continues to build his career as a country music artist in Texas, he’s also been working over the last couple of years to develop his own brand of Tequila. He’s proud to announce that Juan Lobo Tequila is now available in many Texas locations and he and his team are working on expanding their reach. Check out the Juan Lobo Tequila website below to find out how you can get your own bottle! http://www.jonwolfecountry.com/ https://juanlobotequila.com/ Listen via: The Troubadour Podcast Website Apple Podcasts Google Play Spotify Stitcher Podbean

He had to sneak out from under his police officer mother's nose to go on tour. Inspired by acts on MTV, VH1, and more, he joined band in school, and then went on to join every band under the sun. All he wanted to do was play videogames, make music, and go to shows. In this episode we talk about the importance of supporting local bands to keep the scene alive, touring with bands as a hired gun, dealing with their bullshit, your own bullshit, and having to occupy the same space for 23 hours a day. Wolfe has dealt with some seriously awful people in his career, but he's also gained friends and memories that will last an eternity. In Episode 69 of NHCD, Country Singer and Songwriter, Jon Wolfe, sits down with us to discuss his new album “Any Night in Texas.” Jon grew up in Oklahoma drawing inspiration from true country artists like George Strait. This summer, Fans can hear the sound of honky tonks and dancehalls reflected in his music along tour stops in Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico and Oklahoma, but today Jon shares his experiences touring with a team, growing as a musician, expectations in the music industry, and he gives us an acoustic take on a song that has been floating around Nashville since earlier this year called “Airport Kiss.” Don’t miss it! In my 15 years living in Nashville, I have been fortunate to watch a lot of friends like Kip Moore, Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, A Thousand Horses, Michael Ray and more, start their journeys with a back pack and a dream and end up being a huge success in country music.Yet the most frustrating part about being a friend and a fan to not just artist, but writers like Corey Crowder, Justin Weaver, Rick Huckaby, Westin Davis and many more, has been hearing amazing songs that will never leave the Nashville city limits.Nashville Hits Collecting Dust" is a casual, entertaining hangout with friends telling stories, giving valuable advice, and playing great songs that otherwise would still be sitting in a database. My guest are pure entrepreneurs that are living out their dream of being artist and full time songwriters.Hear more at donaldjenkinsnow.com and @donaldsjenkins

Chart-topping teen country artist, Josey Milner has received two nominations in the 2015 Midwest Music Awards. The Kansas City-based singer is nominated for Best Country Artist and Song of the Year, for her single, "Cowgirls." It is the first country song to receive such a nomination. Josey Milner is a 19-year-old Kansas City-based country music artist. She has performed at clubs, fairs and events with her own band and opening for artists like Scotty McCreery, Chris Cagle, Blackjack Billy, Jon Wolfe and others. A CMT.com Top 20 Most Popular Artist, she has been nominated for the Nashville Universe Awards, the Independent Country Music Association Awards, and the International Music and Entertainment Association Awards. Josey is an "Angel Ambassador" for national anti-bullying non-profit, Angels and Doves, as well as working closely with Shriner's Hospitals for Children and Piasecki MD. Her current release is a cover of Patsy Cline's classic, "Walkin' After Midnight."
Josey Milner is part small town teen, part road-worthy country starlet, and at only 17 years old, she turned heads and changed hearts with her debut US single, “Not Pretty Enough.” The song thrust Josey into the country music spotlight, launching her anti-bullying campaign with Angels and Doves, earning her a 2013 Independent Country Music Award nomination for Promising Young Artist, a Top 10 Hottest New Artist designation, and a Number One single on the world's first independent country music chart, Indie World. Now, 18 and a recent Magna Cum Laude high school graduate, Josey has taken her initial successes to greater heights with “Cowgirls.”“Cowgirls” was recorded at Awestruck Studios with her “Not Pretty Enough” production team of Micah Burdick and Matthew Russo (Hall and Oates.) Mastering engineer, Larry Gann (John Rich, Elton John) also played drums on the track, with Jimmy Mattingly (Dolly Parton, Reba, Garth) on fiddle and Smith Curry (Jason Aldean, Randy Travis) on pedal steel. The single was released to country radio in November 2013, and it reached #1 on the New Music Weekly countrycharts and Top 75 on Music Row! “Cowgirls” is a boot-kicking, foot stomping dance anthem that has country radio fanssinging along with this down-home darling…Growing up on a small farm in Missouri, one might say that country is Josey's pedigree. At age 7, she began barrel racing at local rodeos, making the rodeo arena her first stage. She started singing the National Anthem at her youth rodeos, eventually graduating to performances at PRCA rodeos across Missouri and Kansas, including the American Royal in Kansas City. These anthem performances led to the decision for Josey to hang up her spurs and follow her dreams of country music fame. After a main-stage performance at the 2010 Pedal Steel Convention in St. Louis, Josey followed the advice of her much older and wiser musical elders: Form a band and play everywhere you can. The Josey Milner Band became one of the most sought-after live acts in the Kansas City area. Performing an ever-evolving and versatile mix of new country, classic country, country rock, and a little bit of Rock & Roll, Josey led the band through raucous sets at Buffalo Bill Days, Slater Fall Festival, Holden Street Fair, Timbercreek, The Landing, and numerous others, performing for sold-out crowds and claiming the title of “Kansas City's Princess of Country Music.”More recently, Josey has also opened standing room only shows for American Idol, Scotty McCreery, Chris Cagle, and Jon Wolfe. She has performed at CMA Fest and the Hard Rock Café in Nashville, alongside stars like Georgette Jones, Buddy Jewell, Lulu Roman and Ashton Shepherd, The Teddy Bear Festival for children's charities, and the Nascar Kobalt 400 in Las Vegas, for Welcome Home Troops. In November 2013, she performed for the International Music and Entertainment Association Awards, for which she was nominated in three categories: Best Country Female, Best Country Single, and Country Entertainer of the Year. She was also nominated for Shooting Star at the Nashville Universe Awards and Best Female and Artist of the Year at the Midwest Music Awards. With international airplay, charting, live performances and awards, and even a Facebook game using her image (A Better World) and a celebrity endorsement with Piaseci MD skincare, Josey is poised for world-wide stardom. One thing is for certain, wherever her music may take her, she will always remain the small-town girl with the rodeo spurs still hanging on her wall.
