“Loser," "Trainwreck," "Another Day In Paradise." These are titles that carry much weight to Arizona-born, LA-based singer-songwriter Kailee Morgue. The latest release, "Loser," from the rising talented artist is one that was written in some time in the past, but putting it all on paper from personal experiences has always been a coping mechanism for Kailee. In this interview, we sit with her as she discusses about her musical journey that began not so long ago. Kailee may be young, but she's been taking not only the Alt-pop world - but the music community by storm with her talent. Combining elements of influences ranging from Gwen Stafani and Avril Lavigne, Kailee has manifested her own style that is seeming to be recognized by the masses. We also speak with her about the signing with a prominent music label called Thriller Records, and the excitement of kicking off this part of her career with them. Also, like us here at IUF, she's a movie buff – and a knowledgeable one at that! We take the time to discuss with her about her favorite horror films and how they even have served as influences, and there's plenty of it to go around. From touring, a growing fanbase, the recognition from different labels, working with amazing producers and collaborating with other talented artists, Kailee's experienced plenty. Before she got signed, she wrote for herself. Today, Kailee remains humble and continues to stay the course, no matter the outlook. Tune in to our conversation now with the one and only Kailee Morgue, and be sure to listen, buy and stream her newest single, “Trainwreck,” dropping June 29 via Thriller Records.Stay connected with Kailee Morgue, visit: https://www.kaileemorgue.com/, https://www.facebook.com/KaileeMorgueMusic and https://www.instagram.com/morguemami/Stay connected with IUF, visit: https://interviewunderfire.com/

EP 12: Jordan West Jordan West is a drummer, vocalist, and songwriter from Indiana currently based in Los Angeles, CA. Her move to LA was largely inspired by studio legend Bob Clearmountain, who randomly stumbled upon her singing and drumming at a rock club in Indiana. He told her she should make the move out to Los Angeles and that if she did, he would love to work with her. She took his advice and they recorded their first single together, "Blueberry Smoke", featuring Andy Summers on guitar and mastered by Bob Ludwig. She is also in the process of finishing an EP with producer/engineer Mark Hornsby. The project was sponsored by Roland, Ludwig, Avid, and DPA mics, and an accompanying documentary about the process was filmed by Nigel Dick (set for release fall 2018). Jordan also works as a freelance studio and touring drummer/singer. She has recently performed and recorded with Judith Hill and Kailee Morgue. She also has her own ongoing series of Reverb.com lesson videos for drums and writes/records for television. Jordan is endorsed by Ludwig drums and Zildjian cymbals and is a clinician for Roland and BOSS.
