Join Bailey Adams and Christian Simmons for the 333rd episode of of the Pegasus Podcast! This week, we dive into what realistic goals should be for UCF in 2026.
When Should You Compete Again? Timing Meets, Momentum, and Realistic Goals in Strength & Physique Sports In this Iron Radio episode, hosts Coach Phil Stevens, Dr. Mike T. Nelson, and Dr. Lonnie Lowery discuss how athletes decide what to do next after a meet or show and when to compete again. Phil explains how competition frequency often shifts from many meets per year early on to fewer events as lifters get stronger, older, and need more time to recover and make meaningful progress, sometimes using smaller meets as non-max “training day” run-throughs for clients. Mike describes prioritizing goals to avoid competitions that distract from main objectives, and notes the added challenges in physique sports where frequent shows can create a stressful 6–12 week “gray area” and lead to issues like water retention and inflammation, especially for natural athletes. They emphasize realistic expectations, honest coaching, and the value of outside perspective for planning and psychology. 00:00 Welcome and Hosts 01:18 When to Compete Again 02:07 Phil on Meet Frequency 03:51 Clients and Progress Planning 06:13 Warmup Meets Strategy 07:49 Powerlifting vs Physique Peaks 08:50 Mike on Priorities and Goals 10:51 Physique Sports Gray Zone 16:40 Iron Radio Feed Update 17:52 Mike Nelson Newsletter 18:30 New Supplement Book 19:39 Levrone Transformation Talk 20:16 Setting Realistic PR Goals 21:26 Getting Athletes To Eat 24:03 Dreams Versus Reality 24:33 Choosing Your Strengths 27:50 Managing Warrior Mode 30:41 Why Coaches Matter 32:35 Wrap Up And Disclaimer Donate to the show via PayPal HERE.You can also join Dr Mike's Insider Newsletter for more info on how to add muscle, improve your performance and body comp - all without destroying your health, go to www.ironradiodrmike.com Thank you!Phil, Jerrell, Mike T, and Lonnie

In this episode of Fuel Your Drive, I break down why there is no such thing as an unrealistic goal—and how thinking “realistically” is one of the biggest reasons people stay stuck. I share why you need big, hairy, audacious goals, how surrounding yourself with the wrong people can quietly limit your vision, and why belief, visualization, and long-term thinking are non-negotiable if you want to do something truly great. Some goals may take 10, 15, even 20 years—and that's exactly the point. You don't always need to know how you'll get there, but you do need to believe it's possible. What you think about, you become—and if you want bigger results, you have to start thinking bigger right now.
In this episode Ryan and Corryn seek to help listeners consider setting realistic goals for the new year and to consider some of the challenges goal setting brings. They also share some of the reasons realistic goal setting is so critical to health and success in 2026.
Text Our Show HostsPlease Help Us - Support TOPS Bunker as Low as 3$ mo. Click Here...!!!So, Tonight, Let's talk about goals for 2026. Every New Year's day, historically, we all get a sense of renewal. Wind in our sales, so to speak. Excitement for the year to come. We close the door to last year, but not before Last Year puts its big'ol foot in the door and whispers… “Not so fast. Ya see, we all hope for this grand change to happen when the clock turns over at midnight. That's why we have New Year's Eve parties, and fireworks, and The Ball Drop at Times Square in NYC.But if there was no party… no sparkles… no ball.Would we even know there was a change? Years turn over, in the same way that seasons change…Quietly, and without ceremony. Unimpressed by intentions, or by hope.2026 will be a year of change. It's almost a foregone conclusion. The Trump Administration, whether you like it or not… has seen to that. The question is… what changed for you at 12:01am on January the 1st…? My guess is, very little. At 12:01am on January 1st…Out there, farm fields and gardens rest beneath cold soil.Pantries… hold what they hold. Our hands remember only the work they've done before. Those of us who prepare live closer to this truth. We read the land, the weather, the cracks in the system. We know how thin the line can be between order and chaos. This coming year calls for intention and planning..It calls for steady hands and minds that will shape reality into a path forward.Maybe less noise, more focus. Instead of a dramatic entrance, maybe a strategic retreat.Tonight, we talk about what must be strengthened. We do that by setting goals…Reasonable. Realistic. Achievable… GoalsEvery goal is as unique as the Prepper who sets it.We'll tell you some of our goals, in hopes that it helps you start working on yours.TOPS Bunker WebsiteRefuge Medical Website - Use Code TOPSBUNKER10 at CheckoutPlease Visit Our Affiliate Links to Find Great Preparedness Products:Kaisvin Lock Pick Set & Training KitHow To Pick Locks - PaperbackGarmin Handheld GPSBTECH FRS RADIOANKOR Power BankJackery Solar GeneratorSwiss TechBaofeng UV-5R Ham RadioAMAZON Gift CardGrayl GeoPress TitaniumGrayl UltraPress Budget BottleWaterDrop TST-UF 0,01 Ultra-Fitration Whole HouseiSpring UVF8 LED UV Water FilterPUREWELL 8-Stage 0.01 Ultra-Filtration CountertopVEVOR Alcohol StillWater Storage PaperbackThe Preppers Water Survival Guide PaperbackSupport the show
The New Year often brings hope — and for adults with ADHD, it can also bring pressure, overwhelm, and unrealistic expectations. In this episode of ADHD Support Talk Radio, Tara McGillicuddy and Lynne Edris explore why traditional New Year's resolutions so often backfire for people with ADHD and what works better instead. Rather than treating the New Year like a magic reset button, this conversation focuses on setting realistic goals that support clarity, motivation, and sustainable progress — without burnout or shame. In this episode, you'll learn: Why January can feel especially challenging with ADHD How unrealistic expectations fuel all-or-nothing thinking What realistic goal-setting actually looks like for adults with ADHD How to use setbacks as feedback instead of proof of failure Why connecting goals to personal values matters for motivation The importance of support systems and community This episode is supportive, practical, and reassuring — especially if you're tired of starting each year already feeling behind and want a calmer, more realistic way forward. She shares personal anecdotes and observations, including her experiences with her own child, to illustrate how perfectionism can manifest in everyday life. Listeners will learn to identify the signs of perfectionism and how it can trap them in a cycle of self-criticism and dissatisfaction.Brianne offers practical strategies for breaking free from the constraints of perfectionism, emphasizing the importance of self-compassion, setting realistic goals, and celebrating progress over perfection. In this episode of My Simplified Life, Michelle Glogovac and Stephanie Hockersmith, Michelle shares her candid reflections from her trip to the L.A. Times Festival of Books — from the chaos of traveling as moms to the unexpected empowerment found in spicy romance novels. They dive into real talk about managing expectations, navigating the pressure of influencer culture, and the importance of honoring your own season of life. Through laughter and honesty, Michelle and Stephanie remind listeners that personal growth doesn't have to look like anyone else's. You don't need to have it all figured out — you just need to stay true to your own path. What We're Talking About... Traveling as a parent can be challenging but rewarding. Spicy romance novels empower women to vocalize their desires. Managing expectations is crucial for personal well-being. Influencer culture can create unrealistic standards. It's important to own your choices and space in life. Everyone's journey is unique; comparison can be harmful. Embrace your season and the changes it brings. Self-improvement is a journey, not a destination. Stay true to yourself and your values. In this episode I explore the concept of perfectionism and offers actionable advice for overcoming it. As part of the 'Top Trends in 2025' series, I'm focusing on the importance of assuming positive intent and my aim is to highlight the detrimental effects of perfectionism on personal and professional growth. Some of the strategies includes recognizing the signs of perfectionism, embracing mistakes as learning opportunities, practicing self-compassion, focusing on progress over perfection, and setting realistic goals. I'm encouraging you to adopt a mindset that values the journey over the destination, and to create time-bound limits to avoid endless striving for perfection.
