In this Language of Love Bite, I'm diving into a topic that seems to be on a lot of men's minds: penis size. I know it's a sensitive subject, but it's important to talk about the concerns and misconceptions that surround it. Let's get one thing straight: the myths about what's considered "average" size are pervasive. I came across a study that really puts things into perspective—50% of men weren't happy with their size, yet a staggering 80% of women were actually content with their partner's size. This discrepancy shows that the pressure men feel is often internal and not based on the reality of their partners' satisfaction. I want to caution you against making comparisons to what you see in pornography. Porn is not real life, and it's certainly not a benchmark for your own body. And when it comes to treatments that promise to increase size, please be wary. There are countless products and procedures out there, from penis extenders to surgery, but they come with limited benefits and significant risks. I want to reassure you that in most cases, your size is more than adequate. What's truly important in a sexual relationship is technique and the emotional connection you share with your partner.  Remember, if you're seeking to elevate your sex life, visit my website and explore my course on quantum sex. In this Language of Love Bite, we're going to dive deep into a topic that's both incredibly personal and universally relevant – the five common types of trauma and how they impact our love lives and relationships. As a sex and relationship therapist, I've seen firsthand how trauma can really shake the foundation of our self-worth and trust. We're talking about sexual trauma, physical trauma, emotional trauma, and those gut-wrenching experiences of rejection, humiliation, abandonment, and betrayal. Each one of these can leave scars that might not be visible to the eye but can be felt deeply in the heart. I want to walk you through how these traumas can hinder us, and how they can make us put up walls where we should be building bridges. It's about understanding that when we're hurt, our instincts tell us to protect ourselves, sometimes to the point where we might push away the things we desire most – connection, intimacy, and love. But here's the thing – and this is so important – healing is possible. I can't stress enough the value of trauma-informed therapy. Techniques like somatic experiencing can be game-changers, helping us to reconnect with our bodies and process those deep-seated emotions that we've been carrying around. If you're struggling, don't hesitate to seek professional help. It's not a sign of weakness; it's a step towards recovery. And I want you to know that you're not alone in this. If this sounds like you or someone you love, its time to confront the possibility that you may be trapped in the clutches of codependency.  This Language of Love Bite, I dive into the complex world of codependency, its roots, its effects on our relationships, and the path to healing. The origin of codependency can be traced back to traumatic childhood experiences, such as being raised by an addict, a narcissist, or enduring emotional or physical abuse. These early life challenges often lead to "parentification," where children assume the emotional and sometimes physical responsibilities of caring for their parents, setting the stage for codependent behaviors later in life. Despite the challenges, I acknowledge the positive aspects of codependency, such as the innate desire to give and receive love. Join me in exploring these insights further and taking the steps toward healing and growth. In this Bite, I explain: Codependency as an addiction and a lifetime of recovery The role of traumatic childhood experiences in developing codependency Codependents' fear of abandonment and susceptibility to toxic partners The struggle to discern authentic love from manipulation The positive and manipulative elements of codependency How to heal from codependency through inner child work and setting boundaries The challenges codependents may face when setting boundaries and standing up for themselves Remember, if you're looking to enhance both your love life and sex life, whether you're in a relationship or not, I highly recommend checking out my free course on Quantum Sex.  Additionally, if you're seeking to break free from codependency, there are some valuable resources I suggest exploring. She first became interested in extraterrestrial encounters as a child when she had her own abduction experience. Lorgen has learned about a hierarchy of alien beings involved in abducting humans that begin with Grays, Insectoids, Reptilians, and a mysterious group she calls the primordials, similar to the Fallen Angels or Watchers. Lorgen has also assisted individuals in recovering memories of military abductions that typically follow the alien encounters. The former are far more aggressive and lead to many traumatic memories by individuals who suffered at the hands of military personnel. She has learned that alien technology involving consciousness or soul transfer has been transferred to military groups and used on involuntary human subjects. Her two books, The Alien Love Bite (2000) and The Dark Side of Cupid (2012) explain how alien abductors manipulate their human subjects by encouraging them to fall in love with individuals who are part of an unknown agenda. Lorgen believes that many cases of individuals believing they've found a twin flame may be contrived by aliens as part of a long-term genetic experiment. She believes that more positive extraterrestrials (aka angels) have a more hands-off approach to humans and can assist individuals in dire circumstances. In this Language of Love Bite, I'm going there. We are talking about the impact of pornography on our love lives.  One of the main concerns I discuss in this episode is the accessibility of porn to young people. With the internet being so readily available, it's easier than ever for children and teens to stumble upon explicit content. It turns out that newer research is demonstrating porn can have a profound long-term effect on the developing brain, impacting one's ability to get aroused without using it. Another issue we are covering is the addictive nature of porn. It's not uncommon for individuals to become hooked on watching porn, spending hours upon hours consuming it.  We also get into the ways porn is being misused as a poor form of sex education, setting couples back who have a skewed perception of what pleasurable sex looks and feels like. This can lead to a distorted view of what constitutes a healthy sexual relationship, as porn often portrays unrealistic scenarios and expectations. I'm also sharing: Why porn is not all bad, and how it can be used in a healthy way  The digital distortion of porn and how it affects how your brain perceives what it sees How porn can negatively affect your dopamine levels The misrepresentation of sexual relationships by porn The pressure on women to engage in activities influenced by porn Why porn is not a substitute for intimacy If you or someone you know is struggling with the impact of porn on their relationship, I encourage you to seek professional help — a therapist who specializes in sex addiction can provide guidance and support in navigating these complex issues.  Also, if you're looking to heighten the intensity and connection in your sex life, don't forget to check out my Seven Days to Better Sex program! Welcome back to another Language of Love Bite! I'm here to dive into a topic that often gets misunderstood: grief and loss.  The truth is that everyone's grief journey is unique. There's no one-size-fits-all timeline for healing. So, if you're going through it, remember to be gentle with yourself and allow yourself the space to feel and heal. Now, let's talk about the importance of emotional support during this time. It's crucial to have a strong support system in place - friends, family, or even a therapist who can provide that safe space for you to express your emotions. And don't forget about somatic experiencing techniques! These can help you release any trapped emotions in your body and promote healing from within. But, most importantly, here's something interesting to consider: what if our relationships continue even after death? Obviously it's not the same, and we'd do anything to have our loved ones with us. But wd are all made of pure atomic energy, and energy can't be created or destroyed. It can only change form. We can learn to connect to our loved ones' energies, even after their beloved bodies are no longer here.   In this bite, I dive into:  The importance of emotional support and professional help in navigating grief Somatic experiencing techniques like breathwork and grief yoga as tools for healing Incorporating mindfulness practices to rewire the brain and prevent trauma from becoming the default mode The idea that relationships don't end when someone dies, and ways to stay connected with loved ones through energy I encourage you to keep an open mind when it comes to these concepts. It's okay to question and explore new ideas. And if you're interested in diving deeper into this topic, I've got just the thing for you!
