The Falcon Lake Incident remains one of the most discussed UFO cases in Canadian history, not simply because of what Stefan Michalak said he saw, but because of the unusual physical evidence and official attention that followed.In this episode, I take a closer look at the wider significance of the case and why it continues to stand apart from many other reports from the 1960s. Michalak was not describing a distant light or a brief object in the sky. His account involved a close-range encounter, physical injury, damaged clothing, a reported landing site, and later investigation by Canadian authorities.The case has remained important to UFO researchers because several different strands of evidence came together around a single event. There were Michalak's own detailed descriptions, the marks on his body, the condition of his clothing, the reported effects at the site, and the later discovery of material that attracted further attention. At the same time, the object itself was never conclusively identified.I also look at Michalak as a witness and at the way his background influenced how he interpreted the experience. Rather than immediately describing the object as extraterrestrial, he initially tried to understand it as a machine and considered the possibility that it was some form of experimental aircraft. In this episode I'm talking to Isabelle Boivin, a former Canadian Department of National Defence professional who spent 20 years working within the organisation, including 13 years repairing warships and submarines for the Royal Canadian Navy.Alongside that very practical and technical career, Isabelle was having experiences that would eventually challenge everything she believed about reality. This episode I am talking about The Allagash UFO AbductionIn August 1976, four young men travelled deep into the wilderness of northern Maine for a canoeing and fishing trip. Twin brothers Jack and Jim Weiner, along with Charlie Foltz and Chuck Rak, expected several quiet days surrounded by forest and remote lakes. Instead, their journey would become one of the best-known multiple-witness UFO cases in American history.While night fishing on Eagle Lake, the four men noticed a large, brightly lit object hovering above the trees. When Charlie Foltz flashed his torch towards it, the object appeared to respond. It moved towards their canoe as a brilliant beam of light swept across the lake. The men began paddling rapidly back towards shore, but their memories of what happened next became strangely incomplete.Their next clear recollection placed them much closer to the campsite. The large fire they had left burning had almost completely died away, suggesting that more time may have passed than they could account for.Years later, disturbing dreams and unexplained memories led to a detailed investigation by UFO researcher Raymond E. Fowler. Under hypnotic regression, the men described being taken from the canoe, brought aboard an unfamiliar craft and subjected to examinations by strange humanoid beings. Their accounts included similar descriptions of the beings, the interior of the craft and the procedures they remembered experiencing.The case became famous because all four men had witnessed the original object together, although one of them, Chuck Rak, later rejected the abduction part of the story while continuing to acknowledge the extraordinary sighting.This episode explores the Allagash incident, the missing time, the later recovered memories and the disagreement that followed. This week I'm talking to Terry Scalia about her experience of alien abduction. Bio Terry Scalia has been interested in metaphysics for over forty years. While she had little focus on UFOs or extraterrestrial experiences early on, a significant encounter in 1986 became a turning point that influenced her spiritual understanding and personal development. She grew up in a challenging home environment marked by instability and abuse, experiences that carried into adulthood and shaped much of her early life. This week I'm talking to Terry Lovelace about his book 'Incident at Devils Den'. This is my true story. Written by Terry Lovelace, a 64-year-old lawyer and former assistant attorney general. In 2012 a routine X-ray of my leg found an anomalous bit of metal the size of a fingernail with two tiny wires attached. What followed were horrific nightmares, spontaneous recall and intrusive thoughts surrounding a 1977 camping trip I took with a friend to Devils Den State Park in Northern Arkansas. For fear of losing my job and my standing in the legal community, I've kept this secret for 40 years. But the 2012 discovery of this object, one and one-half inches deep in my thigh, initiated a flood of nightmares I could not control. Bio Terry Lovelace is a six year veteran of the USAF where he served as a medic and EMT from 1973 to 1979. He has a bachelor's degree in psychology with honors from Park University in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed a law degree from Western Michigan and passed the Michigan State Bar Examination.  He was also admitted to the bar in Vermont and the US Territory of American Samoa. Bio Les Velez is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. This week I'm talking to Mike Clelland about UFOs, owls and high strangeness. Mike Clelland's 2015 book, The Messengers, was met with high praise. In it he explores the mysterious connection between owls, synchronicities, and UFO abduction. He was sworn both on the federal level as Special Deputy for the U.S. Marshals Service and on the state level as a Deputy Sheriff for the County Sheriff's Office. During this time the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was initially created as Congress had mandated extremely high levels of security for USA Airports. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) After serving for approximately a year as a LEO Richard was hired by Homeland Security and assigned to TSA as a Federal Liaison for airport stakeholders responsible for implementing federal procedures and dealing with regulatory initiatives associated with aviation security. In this episode, I explore one of the most compelling physical strands in the alien abduction literature: the alien implant phenomenon. Reported by experiencers across decades of contact cases, implants are described as small foreign objects found beneath the skin, often after memories of missing time, medical procedures, strange marks, sudden pain, or direct encounters with non-human beings. I look at the work of Dr Roger Leir, the Californian podiatric surgeon who became central to implant removal cases, and his collaboration with abduction researcher Derrel Sims. Their investigations helped move the subject from testimony into the operating room, with objects removed, preserved, photographed, and sent for scientific testing. Key cases include Mary Jones, whose objects were removed from her left big toe, and Pat Parrinellio, whose implant was removed from the back of his left hand. These early removals were followed by reported analysis involving pathology, microscopy, metallurgical testing, X ray diffraction, fluorescence studies, magnetic testing, and isotopic examination, with laboratories including Los Alamos National Laboratories and New Mexico Tech appearing in the record. I also examine the object removed from Jesse Long's leg after decades of reported contact, and cases involving nasal objects, foot implants, fibres, crystalline material, and glass like fragments. Across the literature, these objects are often described as unusually integrated with the body, sometimes showing little ordinary inflammatory response, magnetic qualities, fluorescence under ultraviolet light, or possible association with nerve tissue. Rather than treating implants as symbolic or psychological material, this episode focuses on the physical claims: where the objects were found, how they were removed, what testing was reported, and why the phenomenon remains so important within alien abduction research. Greg is a 30-year law enforcement officer, professional investigator, police academy instructor, college educator, and former expert witness for investigative procedures.  He  also researches and investigates human paranormal experience and locations known for spiritual or unusual activity. He has authored two books on the subject and specializes in providing alternative perspectives to explain human experience. Greg is also a 10-year military veteran with the US Army, Navy, and Air Force, (...yes you can do that...) and is currently a street patrol lieutenant in Central Texas. He uses the thousands of hours of training he has received through his profession and his experience as a detective along with his Masters Degree in Education to study paranormal human experience and physical anomalies. With deployments to Central America, Europe, Northern Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and two Western Pacific sea deployments, Greg is a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and holds an honorary Admiral commission in the Texas Navy. Greg received his bachelors degree in applies arts and sciences and his master's degree in education, specializing in complex adaptive human systems. He is a proud alumni of Texas State University.
