In this week's episode of the League Express Podcast, Editor Martyn Sadler and Host Jake Kearnan discuss England's game 1 win over Samoa and whether Shaun Wane will make any changes for game 2, the Ashes series being moved to England from Australia next year and react to the IMG Grading's. They also review all the Pacific Championship results over the weekend including Australia's win over New Zealand. They discuss the 18-month suspension handed to Sheffield Eagles coach Mark Anston and give their take on whether the penalty was too harsh. They also discuss Leeds signing Maika Sivo, Salford signing Chris Hill and Castleford appointing Danny McGuire as head coach.
Monster roster moves have shook the Parramatta Eels this week with Maika Sivo departing the NRL. Sixties and Forty20 celebrate the big moments - on and off the field - for the powerhouse winger from the time he send Blake Ayshford to the shadow realm to the surprise trip his father made to see him play. Joash Papali'i and Jordan Samrani are the newest members of the Parramatta Eels as Jason Ryles continues to overhaul the roster ahead of the 2024/25 preseason. The Tip Sheet takes a dive into what both young men will bring to the club and where they fit in the big picture. Matt Doorey has also extended his stay with the Eels while the P The boys unload on Ezra Mam in the NRL news following his disastrous decision to drive under the influence of narcotics. Sam Walker heads the latest round of NRL transactions with a rumoured 2-year 2.2 million dollar extension on the table. Is he worth it? The podcast looks at the long term plan for the Roosters in the halves and how Walker shapes it. The Greatest Game Every Played. Sixties and Forty20 try to make sense of the insanity out of Round 26 after the Parramatta Eels held on to defeat the St George Illawarra Dragons 44-40. Although the Blue & Gold threatened to succumb to yet another late collape, the buffer of a 32-point lead with 10-minutes to play proved to be barely enough to secure their 6th win of the season. The mood is understandly mixed after the manic final exchanges of the game and the boys vent their frustrations. There were also positives, believe it or not, including a rather outstanding record for Maika Sivo after he became the fast player to 100 tries in the NRL era.
AJ and Rhys review a big week of rugby league as we salute those who fought for our freedom. They review the Titans maiden win over a scratchy Warriors side, the Roosters massacre of the Dragons plus Melbourne's tactical masterclass over Souths. Attention then turns to Maika Sivo's brain snap that cost Parramatta glory over Manly. Rhys is happy as the Broncos turn on the entertainment but criticise execution in their win over the Tigers plus review Brian To'o's record breaking tackle busting effort that guided Penrith home. They also review David Armstrong's debut victory as the Knights skated by the Phins while Cronulla massacre Canberra at their own home ground. The boys look at UK, Supercoach and the Lower Grade Report as well!! Plenty of choices for LOLCOW of the Week too!

The Parramatta Eels had the Manly Sea Eagles on the ropes in Round 8 before a series of individual lapses from missed tackles to outright manic moments with Maika Sivo losing the plot. Sixties and Forty20 review an extremely frustrating loss in which the Eels had the game plan and had the momentum to spring the upset save for the above indiscretions and miscued goal-kicking. Manly's early shifts were nullified and their speedsters on the edges contained as the Eels executed the gameplan in the first half - so what went wrong in the second stanza? The boys call out the individuals who opened the door for Manly. How did Ethan Sanders fare in his debut? Pretty damn well as it turns out. Sixties and Forty20 laud the young playermaker's efforts at Brookvale - even if he got a welcome to the NRL moment care of Haumole Olakau'atu.
The traditional Easter Monday derby between the Parramatta Eels and Wests Tigers is upon us once more as Sixties and Forty20 run their eyes over the public holiday blockbuster. First things first though, the boys breakdown the games that have already taken place with the junior representatives playing out their final regular season games of the year. The Lisa Fiaola, Harold Matthews and SG Ball squads all booked their place in the finals while the Tarsha Gale finished their season on a high with a thumping defeat of the Panthers. Breakthrough wins are up for grabs for the Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup this week - so how do they go about achieving them? Change could come to the Cup squad one way or another this week so how do they potentially shape up. The NRL preview sees an amped up Tigers, fresh off a monster win over the Sharks, taking on our Eels in a blockbuster at CommBank Stadium. Brad Arthur has turned to Blaize Talagi to replace Mitchell Moses while Maika Sivo makes his return from suspension on the left wing. Sixties and Forty20 point to Clinton Gutherson and J'maine Hopgood as the key men on Monday before giving their tips for an Eels' win.
The body count piled up to unfathomable levels in Round 3 as Forty20 and Clint sift through the medical charts to see who made it through unscathed in this week's news podcast. The Eels were hit hard with Mitchell Moses ruled out for 2 months with a foot injury while Bryce Cartwright also faces an uncertain short term future with a rib injury. With Sixties on holiday (or is he?), the boys recap the big weekend of footy headlined by Parra's big comeback victory over the Sea Eagles in the NRL. TLT has dropped and the fire rises as Blaize Talagi returns to NRL duties at five-eighth. What changes for the rookie this week in his new role? Maika Sivo returns to the left wing while Morgan Harper wins out at left centre over Bailey Simonsson. Brisbane and Cronulla have been hammered by injuries in a wild week of footy. Upsets and big scores dominated the weekend as the boys look at the major story lines from Round 3. The Broncos at least are buoyed by the breaking news of Reece Walsh's new mega deal. The NSW Government have turned down a bid for Leichardt Oval funding but there is chatter about the NRL purchasing the venue. Where does this leave the Tigers? The show wraps up with a quick look at a new point of emphasis for defenders and some good news for the Dolphins.
Round 1 is just around the corner which means The Tip Sheet launches into a massive episode covering all the big Team List Tuesday news as well as the follow-up to Round 0 in Las Vegas. Sixties, Forty20 and Clint run fine-tooth combs over the first official NRL, NSW Cup Jersey Flegg team lists of the season. 'BA' has turned to Morgan Harper to indirectly replace Maika Sivo, was it the right call? How do the Cup and Flegg teams shape up for Saturday? There was plenty of good to come from the first trip to Las Vegas but it was balanced against an ugly racial slur allegedly used by Spencer Leniu towards Ezra Mam. The show works through all of it and gives NRL management its flowers for a well thought out venture into the American market. A serious turn follows as the boys take a look at the serious allegations facing Leniu and what it means for the player and the code.
Forty20 and Clint close the book on the 2024 preseason following Parramatta's triumphant journey to Ipswich on the weekend. The boys debrief one last time on the preseason and how the Eels shape up ahead of Round 1 against the Bulldogs. The Junior Reps were on the road again - this time in Wollongong - as they split the board against the Steelers. Wins for the Harold Matthews and Lisa Fiaola were balanced by losses for the Tarsha Gale and SG Ball. Parra news is rounded out by the board election results and the fallout from Maika Sivo's 3-game suspension. While the NRL may be heading to Vegas this week there is plenty of news at home. Starting with the World Club Challenge and the finals results from the Preseason Challenge Cup through to the ill-advised actions of Luciano Leilua - The Tip Sheet has it all covered this week. The show wraps up with an extended look at the state of the game in America and England before previewing the Round 0 games at Allegiant Stadium.

Maika Sivo is facing a big ban for his even bigger hit on AJ Brimson. Adam Mobbs, Pamela Whaley and Fatima Kdouh look at the Eels' backline options as they look at the big talking points from the final round of trials. The Tigers' loss has them back as wooden spoon favourites, although there were a couple of positives. Why Dragons fans should have some hope, a Raiders young gun stakes his Round 1 claim and why the Panthers are coming home empty handed from the World Club Challenge.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
A markedly improved effort from the Eels saw the Blue & Gold prevail in hot and humid conditions at Ipswich. The 26-16 trial victory over the Gold Coast Titans has Parramatta much better positioned for Round 1 than a week ago and Sixties and Forty20 discuss their takeaways from the 10-point win. The late omissions of Joe Ofahengaue, Ryan Matterson and Wiremu Greig caused a shakeup to the roster. How did the Brad Arthur and the Eels adjust and who starred as a result? The boys address their talking points from the preview podcast - was the linespeed and interplay between forwards on show? There were some concerns to come from the game. From a subpar completion rate to a potential injury worry for Bailey Simonsson and a wait on the Match Review Committee for Maika Sivo. Sixties and Forty20 chat about how it all can shape the appoach to Round 1.
The Parramatta Eels have a new NRLW coach! Steve Georgallis has joined the club for the next two years as the coach of the NRLW. The Tip Sheet and Sixties, Forty20 and Clint discuss the new appointment in depth. The Eels are also losing a staff member with Nathan Brown departing the club at the end of the year. Brown's role will also be handled be Georgallis and the boys wish Nathan all the best. Curtis Scott has been linked to the club once again and the show looks at the merits of his potential acquisition before Sixties dishes out the latest from training as Dylan Brown and Maika Sivo return. Vegas again leads the NRL news with the code dropping a brand new hype video. Did they get it right? Will it appeal to America? Initial impressions are positive although Forty20 finds some humour in the footage used. The Bulldogs and Wests Tigers are in the thick of things in the player market - as always. Canterbury have their eyes on Connor Tracey and Addin Fonua-Blake while Wests are preparing to go all in with Jarome Luai. Do the moves make sense for each club and are they enough to release them from the bottom of the ladder?
It is fair to say that the Parramatta Eels upset just about everyone with their shocking 32-18 victory over the Penrith Panthers in Round 26. Starting with the stunned Panthers and media and right through to frustrated fans wondering where that sort of fight has been in the last month - every man, woman and dog were part of the upset or had a reason to be upset. The Tip Sheet attempts to unravel that chaos out of the game as Sixties and Forty20 break down not only a last ditch return to form but a return to Parramatta's iconic brand of footy. It was a surprising way to sign off on the season given recent results and will no doubt have fans even more frustrated about missing the finals. A gaggle of players stood up and delivered and the show takes a gander at all of them including a throwback effort from Maika Sivo. Clinton Gutherson quite literally ran himself into the ground with another heroic effort and will hopefully be alright after departing the game with a knee injury. Sixties discusses the versatility of Dylan Brown before the boys look at potentially different ways the Eels can use their halves.
Were the Parramatta Eels beaten before a ball was kicked in Round 22? A season worst effort and a 46-16 hiding at the hands of the Melbourne Storm add some serious credence to the thought as The Tip Sheet unloads on poor effort, bad selections and substandard depth across the backline. Sixties and Forty20 look beyond the loss to the Storm as a critical mass of suspensions have piled undue pressure on the Eels. Dylan Brown, Ryan Matterson, Maika Sivo and Reagan Campbell-Gillard lead a NRL high 22 weeks of cumulative suspensions and it has reached a critical mass for the club. It leaves the Eels balanced precariously in the race for the finals and with little alternative but to win out over the next month of footy.
The launch of the NRLW and a critical games against the Cowboys in the NRL means The Tip Sheet needs to bring out the big guns this week. Spiro comes in from the back fence to join Sixties and Forty20 to preview a massive weekend of footy for the Parramatta Eels. Before that though, the boys canvas Spiro's thoughts on some rugby league current affairs including the Fainu brothers signing with the Wests Tigers and Ethan Sanders leaving the Eels for the Raiders. .The Eels head to Townsville to take on the Cowboys in another high leverage match for ladder seedings. The Blue & Gold will be without Reagan Campbell-Gillard and Maika Sivo, can they overcome that handicap? Back at home the NRLW makes a confident statement with a standalone game between the Eels and Tigers on Sunday. Wests have recruited smartly and leaned into their connection to players from the Harvey Normans Women's Premiership but the Eels have also picked up some key players. Who will prevail? Can the home crowd get Parramatta over the line? Sixties and Forty20 wrap up the show with a look at the Wentworth Park double header as the Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup take on the Sydney Roosters. The Flegg have plenty to play for this weekend as an upset over the ladder-leading Roosters keeps them right in the hunt for the finals. The NSW Cup are playing purely for pride as they look to knock off the only team now seeded below them.
The Parramatta Eels face a month of footy without Reagan Campbell-Gillard and Maika Sivo, how will they fare? The Tip Sheet takes a long look at what lies ahead for the Eels in a crucial stretch of games. Sixties, Forty20 and Clint also revisit the victory over the Titans before looking at how Parramatta shape up across all four grades this week - including the season launch of the NRLW! Unfortunately there is also breaking news that rising halfback Ethan Sanders has signed with the Canberra Raiders which leads the boys to discussing what that means for Ethan and the Eels. Latrell Mitchell and Reece Walsh return for the Rabbitohs and Broncos this week to set up a massive clash. Matt Lodge is set to debut for Manly which reopens discussion about notional value and exactly what he should cost the Sea Eagles to play each game this year. Speaking of Manly, their bizarre PR stunt raised plenty of eyebrows in NRL spheres after the released a list management update of which player managers represent clients at their club. The Wests Tigers lurch from issue to issue after chairman Lee Hagipantelis did little to convince fans things were on the up-and-up in an interview on NRL360.
It was a win choc-full of flaws but vitally it was a win for the Eels in Round 20 as they fought back from two players in the sin-bin to win 25-24 at CommBank Stadium. Sixties and Forty20 are back for an instant reaction podcast as they look into the details of a critical 1-point win. A fast start gave way to a manic period that saw Maika Sivo and Reagan Campbell-Gillard both sent to the sin-bin for foul play. The boys agree that the Bunker got both calls right but have plenty of grievances in between - at both the officials and the Eels themselves. Core players stood up in the second half when they needed to be counted and the show looks at who made the difference in a game of centimetres.
Maika Sivo looks set to continue his stunning try-scoring form with a favourable match-up, and can the Storm capitalise on a Turbo-less Manly? The Half-Backed podcast links one of the sharpest analytical minds in rugby league in former Canberra Raiders playmaker Sam Williams, ex-TAB data analyst James Hughes and SC Playbook's Tim Williams. This week: - Lock of the week - Value bet - Hail Mary play - Punters head-to-head - Sam's Round 17 NRL tips + analysis
Parramatta's attack finally clicked against Newcastle in Round 9 and halves pairing Mitch Moses and Dylan Brown were outstanding. Brown told Andrew Moore and the team its been a long time coming but there's still room for improvement. He also revealed that gun winger Maika Sivo has been complaining they didn't manage to get him over the line for a try despite the big score!

Sixties and Forty20 launch The Tip Sheet proper in 2023 with their Round 1 preview of a massive NRL clash against the Melbourne Storm. News comes first though with the results of the PLC Directors elections made public. All three incumbent directors in Joy Cusack, Darren Adam and Richard Foda were re-elected by members in a big vote of approval. Maika Sivo will be an Eel until the end of 2025 after inking an extension with the club. The powerhouse winger will get the chance to become only the 4th Eel to break 100 tries for the club with 3 further seasons to add to his tally of 67. Finally the boys preview a massive weekend of footy with a road trip to Canberra for the Junior Representatives, a homestand at Kellyville for the Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup and finally the NRL season opener at CommBank Stadium!
Jimmy Smith (SEN) is joined by Tristan Merlehan (TopSport) & Gerard Condon (@ReadingThePlay) to look back on where last weekend's Preliminary Finals were won and lost before looking ahead to the Grand Final on Sunday at Accor Stadium. Will the Panthers achieve back-to-back premierships and begin building a dynasty? Or will long suffering Eels fans be rewarded with their first Grand Final win since 1986. As well as giving their picks for Head-to-Head, Line, Clive Churchill Winner and First Tryscorer the boys also give their tips for the weekend's racing.
Zac Bailey Interview
On today's show, the lads take a deep dive on what was the weekend of NRL. Jumping straight into it, with time constraint s aplenty and geography not on their side, the lads go right into the NRL. Quick prayer. No weekend chat. Just business. The weekend start with an absolute destruction of the Canberra Raiders. Every category favoured the Parramatta Eels, who put up a club high score when Maika Sivo doesn't score (since he has been at the team). One lonely Xavier Savage try for the Canberra Raiders saw them go down 40-4 in what can only be remembered as a pretty uneventful game. It is hard to see a team go out like that after a sustained run. But hey, the fade was always coming. Sadly, the same thing can be said for the Cronulla Sharks. The South Sydney Rabbitohs decided to mount that Shark and ... redacted. Latrell Mitchell, aka TrellMit, was a showman. Playing to the crowd at Trellianz Stadium, he was perfect with the boot and is starting to garner some real respect as a goal kicker. All the big guns for the Rabbits were huge and no-one really stood up for the Sharkies. However, they are a young, hungry team. Are they still 1 piece away from being a legitimate contender? The lads leave this weeks predicitons alone but a surprise call in from the Sherpa means his takes are heard as well this week. The NBA season is fast approaching! With the Hall of Fame (HOF) induction for 2022 in the rear-view mirror, we thought we would draft some "All-most Hall of Famer" teams. Sprinkled in with a few "could happens" in Blake Griffin, Rajon Rondo and Bradley Beal are some solid "locks" for the HOF. Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker and Luka Doncic all cap off that list and our teams are based around these guys. Thanks to the great article by Rob Peterson at the Athletic for breaking it down. You decide! Who won the draft off?Until Thursday, stay outta trouble.
The Parramatta Eels stamped their papers into the Top 4 with a punishing display of physical dominance over the Melbourne Storm. The 22-14 victory flips the table between the two teams and continues Parramatta's impressive run into the finals. Sixties and Forty20 are live from Jacks Bar & Grill to breakdown a huge win for the Blue & Gold. From the incredible efforts of the starting middles to the heroics of Maika Sivo on the left wing - the boys dissect it all. Up next are massive games for both the NSW Cup and NRLW before all eyes turn to Penrith and the blockbuster that looms next week!
Parramatta hooker Reed Mahoney told Andrew Moore and the NRL team that he's still not happy with the Eels defence. But the attack is about to get a boost with the long awaited return from injury of Maiko Sivo. Mahoney said they're keen to get him back into the team so they don't have to face him in training!
It wasn't champagne rugby league but the Parramatta Eels rallied when it counted to lodge a 22-20 victory over the Sea Eagles in Clinton Gutherson's 150th NRL game. Sixties and Forty20 jump into a belated instant reaction after a big post-game show at the Parramatta Leagues Club to discuss how the Eels won a tough game. The boys look at a string of controversial calls, coupled with an effort from the Sea Eagles that led to the game going down to the final minutes and seconds of play. Sixties makes an impassioned plea for the Eels to put Ryan Matterson under lock and key with a brand new contract after the dynamic forward posted another excellent game. The duo discuss their best on field before breaking down a solid win in the NSW Cup that was highlighted by the return of Maika Sivo.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia," but only slightly less well-known is this: Never go in against the Eels when a streak is on the line! A fortnight can be forever in the realms of professional sports, particularly in rugby league. This time two weeks ago the Eels were reeling out of a catastrophic loss to the Manly Sea Eagles and the pundits were piling it on thick and heavy. Would they win another game this year? Who should be the new head coach? Should they just tear it all down and rebuild again? A stunning 22-10 victory over the Melbourne Storm on a night layered with history has completely changed the script and Sixties and Forty20 and practically bouncing off the walls to break this one down. Missing Reed Mahoney, Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Ryan Matterson and Maika Sivo coming into the contest and then losing Shaun Lane, Marata Niukore and Clinton Gutherson through the game, the Parramatta Eels had no right to win this. And yet they did. The Eels fanned the sparks of victory over the Cowboys into a raging inferno that saw them physically dominate the game's premier club in a nigh unseen manner. In claiming the win, Parramatta brought an end to Melbourne's historic 19-game winning streak while simultaneously ending their 30-game streak in Queensland while ALSO achieving a rare 2-game set sweep in the regulation season over Craig Bellamy. There is PLENTY to talk about this week so tune in and join the conversation as the boys coming in off the back fence.
Not good news for Maika or Eels fans
Catch up on all the best moments from this morning
Maika joined Vossy from Parramatta's Queensland hub
Vossy is joined by Ian Hanson after Ariarne Titmus defeated Katie Ledecky in the pool and Eels winger Maika Sivo joins the show
It was a busy day for the boys on Sunday. Starting with a massive live pregame show at Pablos in Parramatta Leagues and culminating with a comprehensive dismantling of the Tigers. Fast forward 24 hours and Sixties and Forty20 are finally ready to breakdown all of the action from the Eels' sweeping of the Tigers. As always, the best players on field are identified and discussed but the conversation starts early with the impressive effort of Haze Dunster and the transformative form of Waqa Blake. Forty wraps a massive game from Nathan Brown before Joey Lussick gets love from both talking heads. There is a massive discussion to be had about who replaces Maika Sivo for Round 15 following a looming 1 game suspension for the Fijian Flanker. Blake Ferguson is the most likely candidate to replace Sivo but both Sixties and Forty20 consider the possibility of a surprise NRL debutante. After rolling through the NRL review the duo review the NSW Cup game where the Eels prevailed 28-26 and the Jersey Flegg which saw Parramatta run down by the Tigers in a 30-14 loss.
It might have been close through the early exchanges but the Parramatta Eels completely overran the Brisbane Broncos up in Darwin in Round 7. The 46-6 scoreline may have been the Eels' most comprehensive victory in the Top End over their 7 years of residency but it doesn't tell the true tale of how one-sided this clash was for the vast majority of the game. Forty20 and Sixties jump into another instant reaction to try and get a grip on this one as Parramatta soar to second place on the ladder. Praise is lavished across the park, firstly with the wholistic team effort in the face of truly testing conditions and later across the individuals who starred in their own rights. The bench in particular draws plaudits with Bryce Cartwright finally delivering the sort of performance that both Sixties and Forty20 envisaged earlier in the year when he was dominating in the preseason. Oregon Kaufusi, Will Smith and new recruit Wiremu Greig all are called out for starring roles from the interchange bench with Kaufusi posting a career night. The conversation goes well beyond the bench mind you with Brad Arthur's looming selection headaches fronting a discussion while the resurgence of Maika Sivo and the pure value of Tom Opacic also get bandied about. All this and more in a bumper instant reaction edition of The Tip Sheet!
A massive win over the Melbourne Storm deserves a proportionately sized podcast and TCT delivers with Bernie Gurr and Joey Grima dissecting all of the action from a watershed Round 2. The show kicks off with Bernie joining Sixties and Forty20 to discuss the 16-12 victory over the Storm. The trio discuss how the Eels won the day and how in a way everything came full circle from the finals last year. Gurr discusses the overall form of Parramatta over the first two rounds and then the state of the game following the newly introduced rule changes. Forty20 and Sixties then dig into a review of the Round 2 triumph on their own as they avail a long list of heroes. With an exhaustive list of positives to check off, the duo work through all of it before tackling the ugly Felise Kaufusi incident. Both of TCT's talking heads tee off on the abhorrent action that lead to Ryan Matterson suffering a concussion. Next up is the return of Joey Grima and even with the junior representatives getting washed out on the weekend there is plenty to talk about. Joey gives updates about the rescheduling of the Round 7 games and then previews the three games at New Era Stadium on Saturday. Sixties touches base with Joey on the Jersey Flegg before the segment finishes with a callback to Grima's quality preview of the NRL action last week. Previews close out the episode as a supercharged Saturday is blasted through. Six games are quickly rattled off the docket with the NRL preview headlined by the retention of Maika Sivo for a further two years!
Greg Monaghan joins The Tip Sheet for the second episode of the year to brief the boys on the state of the Parramatta Leagues Club (PLC). Greg, the president of the PLC board, walks Sixties and Forty20 through the turbulent times of 2020 and explains how the club is powering forwards. The trio then speak on the community outreach initiatives that the club drives every year and how the club was able to minimise the impact of COVID-19 on their support for these programs. To wrap things up, the discussion turns to footy and finally the upcoming PLC elections where all eligible voting members are encouraged to participate. Sixties drops all of the hottest news from training in the last week as Oregon Kaufusi roars and a pair of wingers soar. Kaufusi was dominant in a highly charged opposed session as he gave coaches a timely reminder of his talents as the battle for bench spots reaches its zenith with just a month left to kickoff. Blake Ferguson and Maika Sivo are looking in imperious touch as both flankers look to bounce back from frustrating individual campaigns in 2020. Sixties recounts how Sivo brutally flattened Jordan Rankin in a near carbon copy of his iconic trampling of James Tedesco while Ferguson continues to ascend to his 2019 best. To wrap up the second show of the season the boys recap all of the junior representative action from the weekend. With all three teams falling to a first start loss, Forty20 and Sixties break down where the teams will be looking to improve ahead of Round 2. That leads in neatly to the previews of tomorrow's games and the conclusion of the episode.

The Parramatta Eels suffered a heartbreaking 36-24 loss to the Melbourne Storm in Week 1 of the finals in a result that leaves them scrambling to find healthy bodies to throw into the backline. Forty20 and Sixties dive into the breakdown of a game that was equally scintillating and frustrating to find out where the Eels made progress and conversely where they let themselves down. Sixties turns the focus on the aspects of the loss that Parramatta could and could not control in order to isolate where the Blue & Gold can improve ahead of a sudden death final next week. Maika Sivo is out for the remainder of the season while Blake Ferguson is under considerable doubt as he awaits scans. The boys consider their likely replacements for the clash against the Rabbitohs or Knights and how the team can compensate for the loss of their two first-choice flankers. The lads close out the show by talking about the significance of the upcoming home final and why the Eels, despite the the tragic loss last night, need to rebound by any means possible.
It was a much needed return to the winner's circle for the Parramatta Eels this week as they prevailed 24-18 in a hard fought clash against the New Zealand Warriors. Parramatta were certainly not at their best throughout the pulsating contest but they showed glimpses of the grit and gumption that has carried them throughout the season to date. Forty20 and Sixties run their eyes over the good and bad to come out of the Sunday afternoon win. The boys praise Reed Mahoney's command over the ruck and revisit their assessments of Maika Sivo and Waqa Blake one week removed from their horror night against the Rabbitohs. The victory moves the Eels back into outright 3rd on the ladder but both Sixties and Forty20 know that Parramatta need to be far better coming off a short turnaround if they are to challenge the competition leading Panthers on Friday night. TCT's talking heads look back to Parramatta's 16-10 victory when these two teams last met for inspiration before offering how they would attempt to attack the extremely well balanced outfit at the foot of the mountain.

After dropping a game to the Dragons last week the Parramatta Eels needed to enter Round 15 fully focused on a tricky battle with a wounded Melbourne Storm. Their 14-0 victory over the Storm wasn't a complete return to form but it was a game full on intent and aggression - two of the pillars of their awesome early season form. Nathan Brown played the house down once more while Maika Sivo make a timely return to form as Sixties and Forty20 discuss both men as well as the rise of Ray Stone after his most polished showing at hooker yet. The Match Review committee rap sheet is out and it reads as a surprise for all the wrong reasons. Nelson Asofa Solomona has escaped his gruesome attempted decapitation of Marata Niukore with a $700 fine while Niukore himself faces 1 or 2 weeks on the sidelines for a crusher tackle. Forty fires up at the inconsistency of the MRC and the Judiciary and the insinuations that the Eels are coached to dive. It isn't all NRL this week! Forty has been watching some baseball and outlines a bizarre scenario featuring an unwritten rule and some brilliant karmic justice that occurred this week. He asks the question, what unwritten rules exist in the NRL? The boys score an exclusive interview with the real guru behind Parramatta's 2020 success - their dance coach. Finally, they look ahead to the clash against the Rabbitohs on Thursday night and take guesses at who could provisionally replace Niukore.
The Eels got out a a stirling start but Manly made an unlikely comeback in the second half, however it was Fijian flyer Maika Sivo who thrilled in the west with a hat-trick..
