During the holidays it's always rough when we lose someone and especially if you lose them in and around the holidays because every time that holiday comes around not only do we remember them because they were close to us but also because we lost them during a holiday. So for this throwback Friday revisit I want to share with you one of my favorite episodes originally episode 6 when I was first getting started. I spoke with Marisa Meddin she is a Clairvoyant Medium who specializes in contact with the other side via writing and letters. She reminds us that we have the opportunity to still say what we want to say or still communicate with the other side by writing them a letter, or by closing our eyes put a pen in our hand put the paper in front of us and possibly have them write a letter to us. So in lieu of the fact that we have lost so many people over the last couple of years, and many of us are now experiencing a first or second Christmas without someone, please enjoy this look back on one of my favorite episodes right before we celebrate this holiday in 2021. We will continue next week with some Christmas episodes that are very very special. In this episode “That Thing About Messages from the Other Side” with Marisa Meddin a Clairvoyant Medium who has a unique gift of talking to the other side and transcribing that message to you via a written letter. Through a variety of clairvoyant, medium, and online reading, Marisa communicates with your loved one in a unique way that may answer your questions, and provide through them the guidance you have been looking for to take the next steps in your life! If you didn't get to say goodbye, or that one more thing you or they wanted to say here is your chance to get some closure. You will learn how a psychic medium could be the resource you need to connect, heal, and move forward in your life, and to recognize the signs they are sending to let you know they are near. She is a career coach and has been a digital nomad for over 5 years, visiting more than 60 countries. At Beach Commute they help other Digital Nomads figure out what remote job opportunities exist, which they're best suited to do, where to find remote job opportunities, how to increase chances of a job offer, and how to tactfully negotiate remote terms. HERE'S WHAT WE DISCUSSED IN DETAIL IN THIS INTERVIEW: Why listening and working with a https://beachcommute.com/expat (professional career coach) that has been there, the same as you, can be the most powerful step you can take towards freedom and getting the job you have always dreamed of while travelling around the world. Exactly how to achieve your dreams of working & world travel….and how to crush your limiting belief patterns. Step-by-step instructions on how to ask your boss for a big fat raise to live as a digital nomad in any country you choose. A common myth about how to work from abroad. This is an important concept to always understand. One key concept you must understand about human behaviour that can lead you to amazing growth and becoming a confident individual. What happens when you figure out what remote job opportunities exist, which you're best suited to do, where to find remote job opportunities, how to increase chances of a job offer, and how to tactfully negotiate remote terms. What happens after the boss says yes, you can work remotely! And what if your boss says 'no', you can't work remotely and you have no idea what to do or say! And finally, listen in to Marisa & Mikkel talking about some of the countries they have visited and their true love of travel and why they are so passionate about their adventures. Today I’m speaking with Marisa Meddin. What makes Marisa fascinating is she works as a medium, helping people communicate with the deceased through her writing. Wait, what did I just say? I know it may sound unbelievable. But if Marisa can really do this, it may help us get closer to the truth to one of the deepest questions there is - namely, what happens after we die?In this interview she shared why people are suspect of mediums, how she discovered her gift, something simple she does that makes her work less susceptible to bias, several examples of very specific facts coming through her writing that couldn’t have been researched or guessed, and much more. Enjoy....Would love to hear from you! Let me know what you like and what I can improve with my podcast. Part 2. Please listen to the previous episode with Marisa- Part 1. On this episode Marisa and your host, Becky, process the letter from beyond that Marisa channeled for Becky based on questions she had written for loved ones. After graduating with a business degree from the University of Michigan and completing a six year career in brand marketing at PepsiCo in NYC and LA, Marisa realized she wanted more time and freedom to explore other countries. So, she quit her corporate job to try her hand at entrepreneurship, and began traveling the world full-time while running a few successful online businesses. In her time visiting over 60 countries, learning about self development practices to become a better entrepreneur, and studying spiritual and scientific principles to heal a broken heart & mysterious back pain, Marisa learned two important skills that changed her life: One, she had the ability to coach others so that they, too, could live emotionally freer lives filled with more joy and alignment. And two, she discovered she was a psychic medium who had the gift of communicating with those who had passed on (which, looking back, was not so surprising considering her mother’s spiritual experiences). Marisa now knows her mission is to heal others by leveraging her gifts of empathic coaching and spiritual communication....all while traveling the world and living a life in alignment. https://marisamedium.com/extraordinary https://www.linkedin.com/in/marisameddin/ https://talkcollegetome.com/about/ https://pencilsofpromise.org/ Background Track – Rush Job by Nate Arnett Many of us dream of retiring and traveling the world. Others fantasize about creating that visionary product or business. Yet so few of us ever do anything about it. When it comes time to make the decision, we tend to retreat to our safe place and complain about why it can never happen. Understandably so. To live out those realities can be intimidating and scary. But for those that take the plunge, and commit, the reward can be life-changing. And if you can figure out how to provide value and service to others in the process, you have the makings of an incredibly meaningful life. Marisa Meddin started her journey like most of us. Checking all the boxes. After graduating from Michigan, she was engaged and with a high paying marketing job working for Pepsi. Following the traditional path. But a lack of job fulfillment and a relationship that ultimately didn’t feel right, left Marisa wanting more. Seeking more. And like so many of us, Marisa went to work on herself, her dreams, and long-term vision for her life. This took time and evolved through more than one business model. But each step and business helped Marisa realize her destiny. From an early age, Marisa realized that she a gift as a communicator. People would often look to her for advice and consolation. She thought little of it at first but then through a strange series of events, Marisa discovered her gift as a medium. Marisa has manifested her ability by providing closure to those who have lost loved ones. She does this through writing and journaling and despite skepticism, she is always able to provide answers and resolution to those who seek her services. Even though I have my own reservations, I can truly say that whatever Marisa does, it is of tremendous benefit to those who receive it. If their perspectives are transformed in a positive manner through Marisa’s gift and they can grow and put their lives back together, then maybe we could all benefit from this type of experience. Whether you actually believe it or not. Listen to how she found her gift and the amazing stories that ensue as a result. Then decide for yourself if a medium experience is right for you after listening to my conversation with Marisa Meddin. @mlmeddin @extraordinarypodcast @mohotnus
Marisa Meddin has an incredible story of how she followed her intuition to discover her purpose. In this week's episode of Leading With Your Gut, Marisa shares that she is a Medium. Marisa or otherwise known as 'Marisa The Medium' did not grow up thinking that she would be channeling deceased spirits through her writing one day. She actually started her career high up at Pepsi Co and then eventually working for her parent's baking business. It wasn't until years later that she discovered her clairvoyant talents and abilities. Marisa has always been one to follow her intuition and trust that she is on the right path, but she never thought that being a Medium would be her purpose in life. Marisa has a passion and mission to help people who are grieving and need healing from the loss of loved ones. Our conversation is light, joyful, and gets real. Download Marisa's College Preparation Timeline: www.talkcollegetome.com/preppedandpolished Marisa Meddin's College Prep Timeline: 9th grade is time to explore. Priority one is get good grades and sign up for many clubs and figure out which ones you like best. 10th grade is the year to narrow down your activities and clubs in and out of school. Consider taking the PSAT 10th grade b/c it's good practice and get you comfortable with standardized tests. And start looking at colleges casually. End of year consider taking SAT Subject tests or AP exams. 11th grade there is a lot to do. Take rigorous courses to challenge yourself and keep up your grades. Take on leadership opportunities. And take your standardized tests, PSAT in October and either ACT or SAT or both. Beginning of 12th grade is crunch time! Sign up for rigorous classes still because colleges do look. Colleges do request a mid-year report and can rescind your acceptance! Start focusing on college essay a few weeks before school starts to reduce stress! Do test retakes if needed. Marisa's advice to teens: Shoot for the stars and push yourself but don't worry if you don't get into the best college, just succeed in the college you get into. Today's guest, joining us today on the Join Up Dots entrepreneur podcast interview is a lady who connected with the show through the contact form, and so eloquently did she pitch herself I just had to have her on the show. As she said "I believe I would be a great fit for your show, as I am a business owner who is open and honest about both the struggles and the excitement of this entrepreneurial journey. I've worked for Fortune 500 companies, and started several different types of online businesses. Here's my story…. -I graduated in 2010 from The University of Michigan with a degree in business and after graduating from college, I rose through the ranks of PepsiCo, managing marketing campaigns for some of the largest brands in the world, working alongside celebrities, and working with partners such as The Golden Globes, The Grammy's, and the NFL. During my time at PepsiCo, I tried to launch a side hustle selling branded sports bras to collegiate athletic teams...this failed - so I quit Pepsi to launch my first successful business: The Dessert Place. This was a revived family business, in which I turned my mother's famous bakery (which had closed in 1996) into an e-commerce platform. - I realized I didn't actually like baking and my heart wasn't fully into this business. So I built an online course teaching parents how to navigate college admissions with their kids. I love getting to help families with this journey, and love chatting about colleges and visiting college campuses. Based on the podcasts I'd listened to and the courses I'd bought, I thought that creating a sales funnel for my online course would be a walk in the park and I'd be an overnight success. I was wrong! This business has been a challenge, but I'm slowly and steadily building it up and loving the challenges. In just a few weeks, I'll be packing up my life and moving to Bali where I'll be living/working/traveling around Southeast Asia for an indefinite amount of time (one way ticket booked!). The last 3 years of entrepreneurship have, without a doubt, been the most challenging years of my life. The hardest part of entrepreneurship has been the mindset, which I never expected. I have spent every spare moment of time reading more self development books than I can count, and binge listening to podcasts for countless hours. I love that Join Up Dots shares real stories, including the failures, the fears, and the mindset struggles that come along with the entrepreneurial life. Binge listening to this podcast (and the stories of others who have gone before me) is the reason that I've had the confidence to keep persevering, and I'd love to give back and help others who are on the same path. Well if that doesn't excite my listeners as much as it did me then I dont know what will. So when the idea for the college business came to her did she think "Nah, that must have been done before...i'll find something else." And does she now consider herself and success or simply just getting going? Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Marisa Meddin. Show Highlights During the entrepreneur podcast show we had deep hitting conversations with Marisa Meddin around subjects such as: Why a lucrative business is not always a good business. No matter how much you think its about the money it never truly is. Marisa shares the first steps she took to get to make her campus business get off the ground. Powerful simplicity at its best. We discuss how having a life where vacations can blend into real life brings about an amazing lifestyle which is available to all. And lastly Why building a business is 90% mental and 10% technical. You have to get out of your own head to be able to achieve what you want.
