Lee is back with the second part of his look at the soundtracks and scores of the sex comedy genre, focusing on the more lurid side of things. This time everything has gotten far bigger and far hornier as he moves into the 1980s. Much like with slasher films, and other assorted cinematic junk food, the sex comedy genre exploded in North America during this decade, getting far raunchier and problematic that it had previously been. Because of the exponentially larger amount of music to put on the playlist, Lee put out a poll to the listeners asking them if they wanted this split into two parts or if they wanted a super-sized summer blow-out. The guys take on a sequel to a movie that was one of their earliest commentaries as they cover Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise. They discuss Anthony Edwards' prolonged absence, James Cromwell's very short appearance and why Julia Montgomery refused to reprise her role in this movie. They discuss Bradley Whitford replacing Ted McGinley's character, Courtney Thorne Smith's ideally consistent career and who else is missing from the first movie. They marvel over James Hong's character, Snotty. They talk about the actor who comes in as the new nerd, essentially being the spiritual replacement for Anthony Edwards. They react to the second Nerd Rap performance in two consecutive movies and pitch a sequel where they are all billionaires, including who would be the bad guys. Joe reveals where you've seen the shot of that abandoned Island before. They also discuss a few plot holes, including a massive crime commited by the Lambdas and why are other Lambda chapters supporting their fraternity being banned from this event. Revenge of the Nerds II begins with the nerds who formed Lambda Lambda Lambda at Adams College, leaders from an inclusive fraternity that overcame prejudice to become heroes, as witnessed in the first film. Now they must take their mission national at the United Fraternity Conference in Fort Lauderdale. There, they hope to increase the bonds of brotherhood, set new and less discriminatory guidelines, and to get laid. Once in Florida, however, they find that the Alpha Betas have once again taken their rooms. No other hotels in town will take "nerds" except for the dumpiest. Try as the nerds might to bring unity to all fraternal brothers, the Alpha Betas determine to shut them out through conniving acts that result in shutting out the Tri-Lambs for good. It's up to the nerds to get revenge yet again. Directed by Joe Roth.
