Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman, marking my 97th episode of VideoFuzzy, reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings. This set covers discs 1676 to 1700 in my Classic Collection. In my Fuzzy Feature, I talk about the 1946 Holmes and Watson mystery "Dressed to Kill," starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce. I chat about the Kyle Smith book they used as a basis for at least the title and the names of a few characters in the 2006 CBS Tom Cavanaugh vehicle "Love Monkey." I found it while attending a book chat author and fellow podcaster Kemper Donovan gave for his debut murder mystery "The Busy Body" in Grand Rapids, Michigan, last April, which gave me an excellent opportunity to highlight the upcoming release of the second installment in his ghostwriter series, "Loose Lips," available for pre-order at www.kensingtonbooks.com/9781496744548/loose-lips/ or any independent bookseller you prefer. In Cross Connections I highlight appearances by several actors in shows I cataloged in this set, including Ray Wise, John Larroquette, Michael Ian Black, Michael Imperioli, Kurt Fuller, Cory Montieth, Benito Martinez, Tyne Daly, Judd Nelson, Liam James and Alyssa Milano. I determined Diedrich Bader likely qualified as a Golden Thread in my collection. In my Classic Collection, I chat about "Who's the Boss?" references in "Community," I do a compare and contrast on "Human Target" and "Archer," with comments on "Desperate Housewives" and "Supernatural." In my Current Collection, I archived family memorial services into my home collection. I also archived "Agatha All Along," "Only Murders in the Building," and the Kamala Harris rally in Milwaukee. Archiving is on hold while we get ourselves set up in our new home in Utah. Even so, I watched the "Doctor Who" Christmas special on Disney Plus. Comments on that, as well as "Wicked" and "Sonic the Hedgehog 3." TOP TWELVE: Here's a "Top Twelve" episode guide for people looking for a quick read-in on this blog and podcast effort: https://videofuzzy.libsyn.com/about. Enjoy!

John Larroquette is an actor with almost 50 years of experience. His big break was on the NBC sitcom Night Court. The show aired its last episode in 1992. But after nearly 30 years, it's made its way back on air. When John joined us he talked about the experience returning to set after so many of his former co-stars had passed. This Halloween, let's take a spookily ironic look at every president ever portrayed in any episode of any version of THE TWILIGHT ZONE! (It's not that many) Believe it or not, it wasn't until Jordan Peele's 2019 reboot of The Twilight Zone that we got the series' first truly fake president. In "The Wunderkind," John Cho stars as a hotshot campaign manager, Jacob Tremblay as the 11-year-old candidate for American president Cho takes under his wing, John Larroquette as "a" fake POTUS (but not "the" fake POTUS of the episode), Allison Tolman as the episode's sole voice of reason, and Jordan Peele as the narrator. We'll also be taking a look at some real American presidents portrayed fictiously in "classic" episodes of The Twilight Zone from the 60s and 80s, like an undead JFK and a very dead Lincoln. Find us on Threads and Instagram at Fake_President. Or email us at fakepresidents [at] gmail.com to join the conversation! 00:00 - Intro 02:22 - "The Passersby" (1961) 06:12 - "Profile In Silver" (1986) 10:41 - "The Wunderkind" (2019) 48:55 - Closing 49:58 - Post-Credits Bit
This week on Saturday Night Jive We watched Meatballs Part 2 because Bill Murray was in the first Meatballs. We've never seen the first Meatballs movie but that doesn't matter since this movie was never intended as a sequel to Meatballs. It was just a movie that resembled Meatballs a lot (we suppose as we've never seen it) that featured a character named Meathead that they renamed Meatballs 2 after the fact. Life's funny sometimes, but Meatballs 2 is not funny. There's an alien in this movie, but that's not fun at all. Richard Mulligan, Paul Reubens, and John Larroquette all waste their talent. It's a real big bummer of a film but special thanks to Elayne Boosler for all you do. Tread Perilously's month of treading safely concludes with a top episode of Night Court: "A Day in the Life." When Judge Harry Stone's courtroom is called upon to adjudicate 200 cases before midnight, Dan's salacious plans are threatened. Will he, Christine, Harry, Mac, Roz, and Bull survive an onslaught of would-be gods, dueling Moses-es, amateur magicians, irate Nielsen families, and Barry Manilow? Will NBC boss Brandon Tartikoff be called upon as a character witness? And will Dan get to score with his recurring, um, "sex interest" in her van before she drives away to California forever? Also, will slow talking prove to be the most important form of comedy ever devised? Justin once again reveals his mother let him watch Night Court as a child, which hits differently after this episode. He also explains the show doesn't really coalesce until season 4. Erik defends visiting New York, but can't imagine living there. Justin warns people off watching any season 9 episode of Night Court. John Larroquette once again proved to be the MVP even if his character is kind of a sex pest. Markie Post's unfortunate 1980s style gets critiqued as Erik recalls the "Shoulderpads Arms Race." Justin chooses a new search engine and surprise discussions about Twin Peaks and Sarah Douglas occur.

Welcome back ragers to the best movie review podcast on the planet. The rage rolls on from the Film Rage Studio. This week the Film Rage Crew or at least some of them review the three new flicks that were out this week. They start with IF starring Ryan Reynolds and then The Strangers- Chapter 1 which turns out is just a remake or reboot or re-imagining- I don't know what to call these unoriginal rehashes anymore and then finally they talk about the Amy Winehouse biopic, Back to Black. There is also a lot of incoherent rambling and some long winded conversations about nothing if you like that sort of thing. And then finally Jim and Bryce review the film Madhouse from 1990 that stars 80's TV "stars" (notice I used quotes) John Larroquette and Kirstie Alley. Sean Daniels is the hilarious, warm, and honest writer behind the hugely successful play, The White Chip, a comedy about addiction. Since its debut in 2019, The White Chip has had rave reviews, sold out shows in New York, and pulled in big producing partners like Hank Azaria, Jason Biggs, and John Larroquette. Nowadays, America's Culkinheads are all Kieran this, Kieran that. But back in 1994, we were still living in the Macaulay Epoch—though not for much longer, with that year's film adaptation of Richie Rich serving as the final childhood role for the darling young movie star. Nowadays you've probably only heard of this for the scene where Richie has a private McDonalds in his mansion, but fear not, as we're here to go long and deep on this "what if a kid had money" genre picture.

“As in the original series, each episode in this incarnation of The Twilight Zone deals with a different topic, addressing such subjects as supernatural occurrences, racism, social issues, misinformation in the press, alien invasions, and immigration, with an unusual and an unexpected twist in each program. Notable episodes include Sanaa Lathan as a woman who discovers that her camcorder can turn back time, Chris O'Dowd as an anthropologist who studies a strange gun, Morena Baccarin as a hotel manager who finds everyone around her standing still, and Damon Wayans Jr. as a church handyman who finds that he can change his town by manipulating a smaller model of it. John Larroquette, Donna Dixon, Eric Keenleyside, Kristin Lehman, Ryan Robbins, Peter Kelamis, Ethan Embry, Gil Bellows, and George Takei also worked in these two seasons of the Twilight Zone.” - Factually Exclaims wikipedia.org “They need to revoke the use of the twilight zone name. They discuss how every character is "literally the worst," how this is the most 80s Reagan-era yuppie movie ever, Lil' Dahmer, Kirstie's penchant at going-for-broke for every laugh and much more. "Stripes" surfaced some pretty great Army stories from Big D— including the joy's of kitchen duty, henpecked drill sergeants, incompetent officers and what it means to be a Five-Jump Chump—while giving us a glimpse of '80s comedy giants in their prime. Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, John Candy, Judge Reinhold, John Larroquette, Sean Young and even Bill Paxton (blink and you'll miss him) brought their youth and talent to this classic war comedy that served up boobs by the dozen. In this episode, Dick and Gene shred Chevy Chase, offer strip-club advice, champion the underrated EM-50 urban assault vehicle, compare the sex toys of the '80s to our modern arsenal and debate whether "Stripes" should have been split into two movies. The Shat Crew also fields a voicemail seeking justice for Jean-Claude Van Damme's reputation as a lover. And Big D discovers he has a writing job waiting for him at Marvel Studios. John Larroquette is an actor with almost 50 years of experience. The trajectory of his career is an especially interesting one. His first acting gig was narrating the intro to a very famous horror film by the name of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. But, acting was not a viable career choice for Larroquette until he hit it big on the NBC sitcom Night Court. His performance as the prosecutor Dan Fielding earned him four consecutive Emmy awards and propelled his success as an actor. The original show aired its last episode in 1992. But this year, Night Court is back on NBC. John Larroquette joins us on Bullseye to chat about his return as Dan Fielding and what it's like to revisit such an iconic role after almost 30 years. Plus, his early ventures as a radio DJ and his journey to sobriety.
