To say that Douglas Vermeeren is one of the busiest actors filming roles in feature films in Europe and the USA is an understatement. To keep up with his roles in productions in 2024, let's start with the Western “Unnatural 2,” Douglas plays Lucifer, directed by Whit Whitman and shot in Kentucky in May 2024 for Little Monsters Productions. He then flew to attend the Cannes Film Festival before booking a role as gangster Archie Baker in “Clean Right Hook,” shot in London, UK, in Late May /early June 2024, directed by Sam Purewal for Black Coppice Productions, Then back to the US for “Deadly Endings” shot in New Haven CT in June 2024. Douglas plays Bradley West with filmmaker Richard Harlost. Douglas also found time to shoot the role of Raynard in “Alien Horde,” his second film with Mahal Empire. And if that's not enough, you can see Douglas in Paramount+'s six-episode documentary series “Mafia Spies,” now streaming. Based on the book Mafia Spies: The Inside Story of the CIA, Gangsters, JFK, and Castro. On the film festival circuit, Douglas is proud of two independent feature films, “Jack Knife” and “Tenants,” which are winning awards worldwide. This week, September McCrady is back. She's brought the 2004 Horror/Comedy (with a touch of musical as well) Dead & Breakfast. Starring Erik Palladino, Ever Carradine (Daughter of Robert Carradine), Oz Perkins (Son of Anthony Perkins), and Jeremy Sisto, it's about 6 young folks on their way to a wedding who get lost in rural Texas. After stopping for the night at a local Bed and Breakfast, things take a turn for the worse. There are undead demons possessing townsfolk, buckets of blood, and a Hillbilly band playing music the entire time. So is this a cult classic? Or should you just avoid it? Since this is still Revenge Month, the time has come for a one-Ryan episode about Revenge Of The Nerds. Yes, there are a few controversial scenes where our otherwise-lovable heroes strike back against mean-spirited football players...although what they do to the jocks' snobby cheerleader girlfriends is far worse. But this IS a tacky, sex comedy that was made 40 years ago. Robert Carradine and especially Anthony Edwards are fun and sweet, but it's Carradine's character who---more than once---crosses the line with Julia Montgomery. Still, it's easy to enjoy the spirit and the sincerity of MOST of Jeff Kanew's silly comedy. It's also hard to beat the joyous musical number during the talent show or that inspirational ending. So laugh your obnoxious laugh while you get loaded with your geeky frat brothers as Ryan takes a nostalgia trip to talk about the Tri-Lambs, the Omega-Mus and their tormenters in the 584th podcast you'll find on Have You Ever Seen. Sparkplug Coffee would be great to have in the kitchen of any frat house. Look up "sparkplug.coffee/hyes". You can take advantage of a onetime 20% discount by using our "HYES" discount code. The Dark Mark Show got in touch with its inner nerd as Mark and Hannah welcomed Julia Montgomery who played Betty Childs in Revenge of the Nerds and actor/cosplayer Brett Gustafson to the lighter side of the dark side. Julia recounted growing up in New Jersey where she was a teenage model and acted in high school alongside classmate Jason Alexander quite a bit. She made some forgetful films before her big break in Revenge of the Nerds. She talked all about auditioning for the movie, the chaotic and sexually charged atmosphere on the set, how director Jeff Kanew's encouragement of improvisation made the movie the classic that it is today, some surprising tension with Robert Carradine and really surprising revelations about Curtis Armstrong aka Booger. She also tackles the movie's sketchy morality in today's time, what 80s conventions are like, the Nerd sequels and what it is like to work with Sylvester Stallone and Ed Harris and so much more. Brett came dressed as a nerd as only he can, discussed meeting Hannah for the first time when he first got to Hollywood, talked about getting a commercial where they only used his hands, how his training as a mime came in handy, and had a great story about being accosted at an Anime convention while dressed as the cartoon character Doug. Stand-up comedian Jamie Gendron also called in to tell Julia what an inspiration she was to her. What a nerd! "Just the one pastrami then?" Today on The Cannon Canon the Cannon Bros (Frank & Geoff) buddy up for this 1987 "buddy" cop flick, "NUMBER ONE WITH A BULLET". A movie that forces the Cannon Bros to ponder "WHY must you make us yearn for Jim Belushi?!" Billy Dee Williams plays...Billy Dee Williams and Robert Carradine is... severely miscast. On the surface, this movie feels like a Lethal Weapon rip-off, EXCEPT...It came out mere 2 MONTHS after Lethal Weapon! Was it parallel thinking? Or a case of Cannon seeing an early Lethal Weapon screening and scrambling to add LW elements to Num1B? WHO KNOWS?! It's as baffling as Robert Carradine's (who we love otherwise) casting in this. To quote Number One With A Bullet, "Check's in the mail." Check's in the mail indeed. For us, the action is the juice with a double feature for the ages, the very sort of pairing that fights for freedom and lives for love (IYKYK): Heat & Max Keeble's Big Move! But before we explore these insane moves- large and small- this edition's Blue Plate Special digs into recent ticket price hikes at AMC Theatres, M. Night Shyamalan's latest thriller Knock at the Cabin, the 2000 hyperlink landmark Amores Perros, and an Amazon order mix-up (not once but twice!!) that's destined to forever live in infamy. But the men of the hour (Pacino, De Niro, and Linz) inevitably make their presence felt in an action-packed discussion that covers the innumerable ways in which Heat is a classic, Max Keeble's Big Move is not, Jon Voight's hair, Larry Miller's lack thereof, and how both films, in their own way, serve as generational touchstones to criminals and dreamers in equal measure. David Carradine POPS THE CLUTCH again in Paul Bartel's follow-up to Death Race 2000, which features a cross-country race full of oddballs competing for a huge cash prize. Featuring an awesome cast of recognizable faces (Mary Woronov! Gerrit Graham! Robert Carradine! DICK MILLER! Joe Dante!) and even more awesome cameos (Martin Scorsese eating KFC with Bartel and Sylvester Stallone), it's a sometimes shaky, but always entertaining, collection of comedy, musical numbers (?) and car stunts. Find out how it all came together on this brand new episode of BARTEL ME SOMETHING GOOD.
The very funny and cool Robert Carradine (Lizzie McGuire, Revenge of the Nerds, Mean Streets) plus Dr. Phil navigate through conversations ranging from pot smoking, motorcycles, John Wayne and who knows what else.
Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi, Thrasher, and Alex Miller discuss Revenge of the Nerds IV: Nerds in Love. Booger looks to get hitched while Lewis and Betty have a dork bun in the oven. Starring Curtis Armstrong, Robert Carradine, and Julia Montgomery. The final Revenge of the Nerds film (for now), Revenge of the Nerds IV: Nerds in Love is a backdoor pilot to a Booger series. In many ways, this feels like a madcap 1930s comedy with a modicum of the wit and/or social satire. As always, there's the Caddyshack influenced "snobs vs. slobs" thing going on. Despite this being about a wedding and including more of the original cast (Donald Gibb as Ogre steals the show), it feels lower in stakes compared to Nerds III. Still, there's a few good lines here and there (Lewis naming his son Kunta Kinte is a riot as is Ogre debating Russian socioeconomics of the 1920s while smashed). A good effort, but I wouldn't risk it for a chocolate biscuit over this flick. Sequelcast 2 and Friends is part of the HyperX Podcast Network. Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi, Thrasher, and Alex Miller discuss Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation. Starring Curtis Armstrong, Robert Carradine, and Julia Montgomery. The first of two TV movies in the Nerds series (according to Curtis Armstrong's memoir, these also served as backdoor pilots for Revenge of the Nerds TV shows that never got off the ground), Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation manages to introduce a lot of new characters but focuses more on the old ones. Now a reformed nerd, yuppie Lewis has to confront his nerd past when the bully Stanley comes back into his life as a friend. There are some fun cameos in here (Clancy Brown as a gas station attendant comes to mind), but the new nerds being a lot less well developed than the old nerds makes for a sometimes jarring plot. A court case at the end brings to mind the heroic speech at the end of the original film. For a sanitized made-for-TV version of the Nerds, Revenge of the Nerds III isn't half bad. Our friend, Elizabeth, joins us to chat about all of the nostalgic outfits and music from this early-00's throwback!

Matthew, Dean, and Scott sit down to get into the oft-forgot Carpenter picture, Body Bags. It's an anthology with three different stories. Truth be told it is not a serious horror picture. It leans into the cheese and it comes through, but does the lack of "serious" (for lack of a better word) horror work? Does the cheese carry the day? Do the endless cameos lend any credence to the movie? Is this movie fun to watch? This was recorded live on Discord. Prompting questions this week: What is your favorite short from Body Bags? A, The Gas Station B, Hair C, Eye You've lost your right eye. You're a baseball player. You have an opportunity to get a fresh, new eye. The catch: the donor is a serial killer who was recently executed. His crimes: he savagely killed young women, and committed acts of necrophilia on his victims. Do you take the eye or hold out for another one? A, Gimme' the eye! B, No way. Too creepy for me! How many start would you give Mark Hamill as an actor (1-5) Who wins in a fist fight: Stacy Keach or Robert Carradine? A, Keach B, Carradine John Carpenter's best movie theme (not the entire score/soundtrack)? A, Escape From NY B, Assault on Precinct 13 C, The Fog D, Halloween E, Prince of Darkness F, Porkchop Express (Big Trouble) G, They Live H, Christine I, In the Mouth of Madness Please list your HERO and your ZERO this week.
