An athlete is rendered a paraplegic through a devastating jogging accident.  A trained helper monkey arrives as his live-in assistant.  A well-meaning but drugged out lab rat performs monkey-altering experiments.  Some sort of Manimal transference takes place and the bodies and histrionics pile up from there.  It's 1988's George A. Romero horror classic "Monkey Shines" starring Chicago P.D.'s pre-contractually-required-anger-management Jason Beghe, Janine Turner, John Pankow and the indispensable Stephen Root, as well as the greatest and most hilarious pair of little monkey arms-on-sticks ever designed by FX man Tom Savini.
