Tell me if this makes sense… We live in a world today characterized by a fetishized pornographic addiction to rape. If it were not so, Law & Order: SVU wouldn’t have made it past a single season – let alone, into SYNdication for nearly 30 years…! I loathe Adorno and the CULTural Marxists who SYNthesized (read: weaponized) Marx and Freud to the general detriment of mankind, beginning with the ‘West’. But, he raised some legit points, as often the baddies do. It’s their SOLUTIONS we all need be wary of. For nigh on 100 years, we’ve basked in the jaundiced glow of the Frankfurt School, as legions of university students continue having their minds and spirits poisoned in the name of ‘Progress’. See also the ancient Roman Collegium, a concept dating back to (at least) the days of Plato – who, incidentally, literally wrote the book on The Republic. I digress… In Adorno’s “Fetish-character” essay, he states, a fetish is a substitute object of desire.[1] I would submit that in the latent undercurrent of this Nietzschean ‘power-evolving universe’ of today’s America; men and women, by and large, secretly harbor a craven desire for rape. It sounds crazy! Until one considers the popularity of Law & Order: SVU for the last 27 years. America is Kung-Fu LARPing, with each new iteration of the ‘fetish substitute object of desire’ further blurring the lines between fantasy and reality (schizoaffective disorder) as we creep ever closer to the Chaos Magick of bringing these secret desires to life. But, beware; LARPing has consequences.[2] The Epstein Saga has been publicly ongoing for 2+ decades. More than a thousand witnesses have come forward – including dozens who’ve accused Trump (E. Jean Carroll) – and yet, only Epstein and Maxwell have been ‘brought to justice’. Speaking of ‘justice’, Thomas Massie probably said it best:[3] Congress created the Department of Justice, Congress funds the Department of Justice, and Congress is responsible for the oversight of the Department of Justice. When will we see justice? I’ll tell you what I’ve not seen. I’ve not seen any arrests from the revelations in the Epstein Files – over 3 million documents describing horrible things, describing unspeakable things, much of it redacted. Over two dozen people have resigned; CEOS, members of government, worldwide. But, I haven’t seen any arrests or investigations here in the United States, from this Department of Justice. Prince Andrew, Duke of York, who has since been stripped of his royalty, his royal titles, due to his affiliation with Jeffrey Epstein, has been arrested. Peter Mandelson, who previously served as UK’s Ambassador to the United States, resigned in disgrace from United Kingdom’s House of Lords and the Labor Party, and he’s been arrested. Former Prime Minister of Norway Thorbjorn Jagland has been charged. But, we don’t see any charges, arrests, or investigations in the United States. What do we see? We see our FBI Director celebrating in the locker room at the Olympics overseas. It’s fine to be proud of this country. But, we should be proud of this country because we have a system of justice that works. And yet we do not. … We need justice. We want the Department of Justice to get to work, and that’s what they need to do – now. The Trump (45/47) DOJ is unwilling to rat itself out – and so are the other 77+ million co-conspirators… And then there’s the 77 million co-conspirators who voted for Epstein’s best friend Trump as many as three times, knowing he’d been accused of sexual assault by dozens of women, and even after he was found liable for sexually assaulting E. Jean Carroll. For 77 million men and women it was not a dealbreaker! He rapes, but he saves. He saves more than he rapes … but he probably does rape.[4] Considering the aforementioned, what would be crazy is not acknowledging America’s fetishized pornographic addiction to rape – which is precisely what we’re doing. We are gaslighting ourselves at this point, as we turn a blind eye to our own culpability. After all – on the eve of America’s 250th Anniversary of Independence – wasn’t this always to be a government of, by, and for The People…? 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; …21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, …24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: …26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.28 And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. — Romans 1:18, 21–22, 24, 26–32 KJV 4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: [and] again I say, Rejoice.5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord [is] at hand.6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things. — Philippians 4:4–8 KJV #Links Clips [1:58] Etymology (the origins of words) was taken out of schools in the early 1900’s for a reason. The actor wore what she described as a “prosthetic [redacted]” in her recent movie The Testament of Ann Lee, as she revealed in a Feb. 25 interview with BBC’s The Scott Mills Breakfast Show. “This movie, it needed to be graphic, so, like, I had a prosthetic [redacted],” she said in a clip posted to Instagram, which understandably perplexed Mills himself. When pressed for more details, she surprisingly had a rave review about the experience. “It was cool. It was exciting.” Seyfried plays the real-life Ann Lee, a Christian woman in 18th-century Great Britain who viewed herself as a representative of God and eventually founded a religious sect called Shakers, with the film capturing her group’s move across the pond to New York during the Colonial era. Son of megachurch pastor sentenced after horrific materials found at home ‘among worst investigators have seen’ An Indiana megachurch once known for preaching purity and sexual morality has found itself at the center of a scandal that has shaken a congregation, rattled political allies, and ended with a six-year prison sentence. Jonathan Peternel, 24, of Pendleton, was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty in January to one Level 4 felony count of child exploitation and three felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse material. The case drew intense public scrutiny not only because of the disturbing evidence uncovered by investigators, but because his father, Nathan Peternel, remains listed as lead pastor at Life Church and is a longtime mentor and close associate of Indiana Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith. Why Viewers Say You Should Watch ‘Nymphomaniac’ Alone Due to Its Graphic Scenes Both volumes of Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac are streaming on Netflix in the U.S., and its return to an easy, familiar platform has revived a warning that has followed the film since 2013: ‘Watch this one by yourself.‘ … So why does this movie come with a warning like that? The movie’s name actually answers that on its own. The term nymphomania is used to classify someone who has an uncontrollable compulsion toward sex, and that is exactly what the film follows across 2 volumes and 8 chapters. It opens with a woman named Joe, found beaten in an alley. A man named Seligman brings her home, and she begins telling him the story of her life from her earliest sexual memories through decades of escalating need. Von Trier was telling the story of a woman whose entire life is shaped by a compulsion she cannot control. … The discomfort the audience feels isn’t incidental. It’s the mechanism. Von Trier built the film so that watching it puts you closer to Joe’s experience than any non-explicit version ever could. The surface reading is addiction… What Joe is actually chasing is not sex but connection. Every encounter she describes to Seligman moves her further from other people rather than closer to them. Sex becomes the thing she reaches for because the thing she actually needs keeps slipping out of range. That distance between the act and the need behind it is where von Trier plants the real story. The compulsion is real, but the loneliness underneath it is what he keeps circling back to. He called this technique “Digressionism,” a term he coined to describe a storytelling style that deliberately wanders away from its own plot. He cited Marcel Proust as an influence. Nymphomaniac is the final film in what von Trier and critics call the Depression Trilogy. Following Antichrist in 2009 and Melancholia in 2011. After years infiltrating child exploitation rings, expert reveals an even DARKER American underworld | Blaze Media Demons in the Headlines EXPOSED: The War for Power and Souls in D.C. | Strange Encounters | Ep 29 – YouTube [31:30–33:26] Back to the politics piece; everybody within politics – even if they disagree with exploitation or whatever – they show partiality. And, I believe it’s, is it second Peter? … It says, ‘where partiality exists, exists every form of deceit and evil’. We can look it up … but I think that’s it. But, where partiality exists, exists all forms of evil. ***[Did he mean this passage?]For where envying and strife [is], there [is] confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, [and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. – James 3:16–17 KJV*** And, what is happening in our political world that I’ve that I’ve seen now is; you have career politicians – even if they claim to be Christians – they sell access. And, it might be access to conservative organizations. But, they sell access – and they’re partial to donors. … they’re unbelievably partial. And, they’re partial to their ‘club’, as opposed to the people they’re elected to represent. And, you have a bureaucracy that’s in place, and you have these elitists that are in place, that think that they can buy – because they have been able to buy your position – buy you, buy access to you, or buy access to somebody else, and ‘own’ – in this case, a US Senator, what I’m running for. But, it’s across the board for everything; Congressmen, even the President … Everything’s for sale. And, it’s ‘access’ that they’re selling, right? And, that’s the thing that stood out to me the most; partiality. More proof / Trump-Epstein Saga DOJ’s Epstein Files Screwups Get Worse With Unredacted Nudes and Images of Kids The Justice Department is under fire after newly released Jeffrey Epstein case materials reportedly included unredacted nude images and photos involving minors. Analysis by CNN uncovered nearly 100 explicit pictures of two naked young women on a beach, the news outlet reported. The materials also included photos showing a young girl kissing Epstein on the cheek. At least one unredacted image depicted Epstein alongside a nude female, and additional selfie-style nude photos of at least two other unidentified females were also published, with their ages unclear, according to CNN. Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which Congress passed and President Trump signed in late November, the DOJ is obligated to omit sexually explicit imagery and anything that might identify victims. The images have now been redacted. Leon Black; you don’t even have to see past the redactions to see that this man needs to be investigated. Jess Staley; accused of terrible things, it’s right there in the files. Why is he not being investigated? And, Leslie Wexner; why did the FBI list him as a co-conspirator in their own documents in a child sex trafficking case, and then tell him, according to him, that they had no questions for him? Why is that? Well, the Epstein Files Transparency Act requires the DOJ and the FBI to disclose to us their internal memos and emails about how they made those decisions, whether to prosecute or not prosecute. Yet, they have not delivered those memos. And, we still don’t have the memos and documents and emails from 2008, to explain why Jeffrey Epstein was given such a light sentence in what would have been an open and shut case of child sex trafficking, which allowed him to go back and recommit these terrible crimes, create hundreds of more victims, and ensnare so many other people in his conspiracy. Where are those documents that describe those decisions? We need justice. We want the Department of Justice to get to work, and that’s what they need to do – now! Xbox's marketing beat for 2025 was "The Year Of Obsidian Entertainment." Frankly, it made sense. No matter how you feel about the quality of these games, the fact that this team shipped Avowed, Outer Worlds 2, and Grounded 2 all within a calendar year (while many other teams within the first party fold continue to stumble around) was worthy of all the praise. Well, Obsidian has some thoughts on that marketing tagline. Indeed of it being a rallying cry, Obsidian's own Josh Sawyer defined as a "sign that something went wrong." Both Avowed and Outer Worlds 2 were in development for over six years and the result is that both these games failed to meet financial expectations. What lessons can they learn after shipping so many games? What can they do to cut development costs? What games should they make to meet Xbox's new profit margins? Part of the solution to the team at Obsidian is Avowed 2, but it's anyone's guess what lies beyond that. Thanks to a transparent conversation with Obsidian, the Dukes now dig into the company with this new perspective. Well, we've seen our fair share of Xbox earnings reports. As expected, there's a lot of negative discourse around it, but this time there are some more troubling facts resting within these underlying numbers. As we've seen Xbox's hardware has been down for almost two years now. That continues in this quarter, so it is not much of a shocker by this point. That is if you only consider the console and not the recently released Xbox Ally. When it comes to gaming revenue as well as content and services, they're down. This is significant because this is all based on the holiday window where we usually see spending go up. In a window where they had the likes of Call Of Duty, which became the number one selling game of the month in December, they still ended up with losses. The likes of Outer Worlds 2, Keeper, or Ninja Gaiden 4 couldn't do enough, nor should they be fully expected to make up that sort of difference. The sum of it all is despite this being one of Xbox's busier holidays, they couldn't escape a loss and that comes shortly after a Game Pass price hike. Join Here: https://ow.ly/msoH50WCu0KIn this segment of Notorious Mass Effect, Analytic Dreamz breaks down Ubisoft's 2026 major reset—a sweeping organizational, operational, and portfolio overhaul announced to reclaim creative leadership and restore sustainable growth under CEO Yves Guillemot.Ubisoft has restructured into five decentralized Creative Houses, each with full ownership over specific genres and brands: Vantage Studios (CH1) scales AAA franchises like Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six; CH2 focuses on competitive/co-op shooters including The Division, Ghost Recon, and Splinter Cell; CH3 handles live-service titles such as For Honor, The Crew, Riders Republic, Brawlhalla, and Skull & Bones; CH4 drives immersive fantasy and narrative games with Anno, Might & Magic, Rayman, Prince of Persia, and Beyond Good & Evil; CH5 targets casual/family-friendly experiences like Just Dance, mobile hits, and licensed titles. This shift addresses escalating AAA costs, market competition, and trends toward mobile and Games-as-a-Service, prioritizing open-world adventures and GaaS-native experiences while investing in player-facing generative AI.The reset includes significant cuts: employee count reduced to 17,097 (from 20,729 in 2022, a net loss of 3,633), selective studio closures (including Halifax and Stockholm), and a "final" €200 million savings push, with €234 million more planned over two years. Six games canceled (including Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake and unannounced titles), seven delayed (potentially impacting Assassin's Creed projects and Beyond Good & Evil 2), and four new IPs in development (including March of Giants).Financially, expect short-term hits in FY2026-2027: €386 million gross margin reduction, €650 million R&D depreciation, and €350 million net bookings drop. A mandatory five-day in-office policy has sparked internal unrest and backlash against leadership.Analytic Dreamz explores the implications for Ubisoft's future, from agile decision-making and long-term sustainability to employee sentiment and investor reactions in this in-depth analysis.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/analytic-dreamz-notorious-mass-effect/donationsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

They explore how praise can impact children's development, the difference in how children of various ages receive praise, and the balance between performance and process. The conversation emphasizes the need to define success beyond grades and to focus on character development. Practical strategies for celebrating efforts and creating a culture of encouragement in the home are shared, along with biblical foundations for work and success.TakeawaysCelebrating small wins is crucial for children's development.Praise should focus on effort and character, not just outcomes.Defining success should go beyond grades and performance.Encouragement helps build resilience and confidence in children.Biblical principles can guide parenting and success definitions.Creating a culture of celebration fosters positive behavior.Specific praise is more impactful than general compliments.Recognizing the process is as important as celebrating the result.Parents should practice recognizing and celebrating their children's efforts.Chapters00:00 Introduction and Initial Thoughts on Praise02:23 Celebrating Small Wins with Children05:02 The Impact of Age on Praise Reception07:40 Performance vs. Process in Parenting10:17 Defining Success Beyond Grades12:57 The Role of Encouragement in Development15:46 Biblical Foundations for Work and Success18:25 Celebrating Efforts and Character Development21:00 Practical Strategies for Celebrating Wins23:42 Recognizing and Celebrating the Process26:28 The Importance of Specific Praise29:16 Creating a Culture of Celebration in the Homeparenting, praise, small wins, child development, encouragement, success, biblical principles, character building, celebration, parenting strategies

Are you settling for "good enough" while your sales organisation invests in an 85% loser rate? In this episode, Marcus Cauchi sits down with David Brock, author of "Is Good Enough Good Enough? Mindsets and Behaviors for Sales Excellence," to challenge the traditional "metrics madness" that keeps founders and sales leaders trapped in cycles of mindless activity. Dave shares his pragmatic, scientific approach to performance, revealing how top performers achieve their goals by being "intelligently lazy" and cutting out the "dead work" that consumes the average workday. They explore the "Three-Pile Strategy" for auditing tasks, the high cost of customer churn, and why personal accountability is the ultimate differentiator between top performers and those who make excuses. A major highlight of this conversation is David's contrarian take on AI. Having used Claude AI as a "thought partner" and "debate partner" to co-author his book, David explains why AI is a "profound amplifier" that makes deep thinkers better but makes "lazy idiots" fail at scale. Learn how to use discovery-based prompting to internalise strategic ownership and why curiosity remains the foundational behaviour for the next generation of leaders. Key Topics Covered: • The Trap of Activity vs. Outcomes: Why being "busy" is often a mask for underperformance. • The Three-Pile Audit: Examine tasks and reclaiming 40% of your team's capacity. • Retention vs. Acquisition: Why the obsession with new logos is a recipe for wasted effort. • AI as a Debate Partner: Moving beyond automation to elevate your strategic thinking. • The Sacred Habit: Why scheduling 20 minutes of reflection daily is non-negotiable for excellence   Contact David Brock on linkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/davebrock/ Email: dabrock@excellenc.com Website: http://partnersinexcellenceblog.com/ Read the book:  https://amzn.to/4brvQku   Contact Marcus https://www.linkedin.com/in/marcuscauchi/

Week 40 of Ted Gioia's Immersive Humanities Course brings together three demanding—and deeply philosophical—works: Leo Tolstoy's The Death of Ivan Ilyich, Fyodor Dostoyevsky's The Grand Inquisitor, and Friedrich Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil. But before we get started, I offer a short primer on reading Russian lit. The names can be a real challenge!Tolstoy's novella, written after his spiritual “conversion,” is a devastating meditation on death, meaning, and self-deception—circular in structure but spiraling ever deeper. It may be the finest short work I've read so far. Dostoyevsky's famous parable interrupts the narrative of The Brothers Karamazov to pose unsettling questions about freedom, faith, and institutional power, turning conventional religious assumptions upside down. Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil proved the most challenging: dense, contrary, and deliberately destabilizing, it rejects inherited moral frameworks in favor of examining desire, psychology, and power. Together, these works confront the shifting relationship between God, morality, and the modern self—making this one of the most intellectually intense weeks of the project. We are back next week with French writers who offer a totally different tone. Philosophies for Life

Nietzsche - Why You Actually Fear AI (It's Not Poverty) (Existentialism). In this podcast we will talk about Why You Actually Fear AI from the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche. Friedrich Nietzsche was one of the main precursors of existentialism. In 1882, German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche published The Gay Science, which features a famous scene called 'The Parable of the Madman.' In the story, a man runs into a busy marketplace in broad daylight, holding a lantern, shouting, “I seek God! I seek God!” People laugh at him. They tease him: “Did God get lost? Is he hiding?” They treat it like a joke. But the madman stops, stares at them, and finally says: “God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him.” Nietzsche didn't mean we literally killed a god. He meant that science and reason replaced our need for God. We swapped mystery for facts, the cathedral for the lab, and made the divine unnecessary. Nietzsche was warning us. Removing God also removes the sense of security people relied on. For thousands of years, religion told people who they were, why they suffered, and what their lives meant. When that sun disappeared, Nietzsche predicted that the West would face a crisis of meaning. We would lose our center of gravity. So what did we do? We replaced the old structure with a new one. In the 20th century, we built society around utility. We decided that meaning comes from being useful. You're a writer. A coder. A doctor. An analyst. Your identity is your competence. Your value is your output. “I am useful, therefore I matter.” And that brings us to today. Right now, that entire structure is collapsing. We've created machines that can imitate the very bilities we've built our identities on - logic, creativity, analysis, language. If you're a writer and the machine writes faster… If you're a coder and the machine codes better… If you're an analyst and the machine sees what you can't…The real fear isn't, “Will I lose my job?” It's the same fear the madman felt: We're facing the “Death of Human Utility.” And just like in Nietzsche's time, we're not prepared for the psychological weight that comes with it. In this video, I want to look at AI through Nietzsche's eyes. I want to explore the danger of becoming what he called “The Last Man”- a passive, comfort-addicted observer. And I want to talk about the solution he offered. Because if we're losing our utility, we need something else to keep us from falling into the dark.Topics covered - Introduction - 00:00 – 03:12 Act 1: The Idol of Utility – 03:12 – 06:28Act 2: The Abyss and the Last Man – 06:28 – 11:35Act 3: The Crisis of Mediocrity – 11:35 – 17:10Act 4: The Solution – 17:10 – 24:16Act 5: The Bridge – 24:16 – 26:22Friedrich Nietzsche was a German philosopher, poet, essayist, and cultural critic. He is considered to be one of the most daring and greatest thinkers of all time. His writings on truth, morality, language, aesthetics, cultural theory, history, nihilism, power, consciousness, and the meaning of existence have exerted an enormous influence on Western philosophy and intellectual history. He was one of the biggest precursors of existentialism, which emphasizes the existence of the individual person as a free and responsible agent, determining their own development through acts of will. By his famous words “God is dead!”, Nietzsche moved the focus of philosophy from metaphysics to the material world and to the individual as a responsible person for his own life. Friedrich Nietzsche wrote several books like The Birth of a Tragedy,  Human, All Too Human, The Dawn, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Beyond Good and Evil, Twilight of the Idols, The Will to Power, The Antichrist, and many more. His teachings have shaped the lives of many people; from psychologists to poets, dancers to social revolutionaries.

Together, Paula and Rachael dig into authenticity as a scale (not a switch), the importance of agency in choosing environments that align with your values, and how leaders can treat feedback as data to close the gap between self-perception and how others experience them.1:25 – Rachael's view on branding, three self-descriptive words, favorite Dolly Parton quote, and musical motivation (from Whitesnake to Beyoncé)5:41 – How the melting pot of Miami and her theater background influenced Rachael's upbringing9:28 – Rachael's shift from the arts into law and professional development15:30 – Why Rachael pursued entrepreneurship and launched Fringe Professional Development19:13 – The importance (and scale) of personal branding authenticity in professional settings25:29 – The importance of agency in choosing aligned working environments31:46 – How you can demonstrate to others that you receive feedback well35:18 – Feedback as a data set that should be analyzed (especially for the historically underrepresented)37:59 – Why good and bad feedback is about the delivery, not the content40:40 – How Fringe's feedback tool Candorly works for individuals and organizations48:43 – The role of pop culture in Rachael's professional trajectory and the uncompromisable component of her brandMentioned In Beyond Good or Bad: The Feedback Framework Every Professional Needs with Rachael BoschFollow Rachael on LinkedInFringe Professional DevelopmentCandorlySign up for Paula's Upcoming WebinarsLearn More About Paula's Personal Branding Strategy Session OfferFollow & Review: Help others find the podcast. In this reflective episode, Luke explores why some people feel easy and others feel impossible, and how much of that is shaped by our beliefs. Drawing on intuition/gut feeling, judgement, and old wounds, he unpacks how the brain filters reality, why we mistake interpretations for facts, and what changes when we separate feelings from the ego's instant verdict. This is a practical reset: notice the story, strip back to facts, and choose the response that serves you now. Key Takeaways Beliefs = repeated thoughts. We keep thinking something until it feels “true”, then stop questioning it. We don't feel what “they” make us feel; we feel our interpretation. Two people can meet the same person and have different reactions — that's the lens, not the person. Feelings aren't good or bad. They're wanted/unwanted and context-appropriate (e.g., grief is appropriate after loss). Ego labels them and pushes us to react/avoid. Old wounds get re-triggered. The body “remembers” past pain; current reactions can be echoes, not matches, to the present moment. Progress is easy to miss. If you never look back, you'll believe you haven't moved. Audit your changes. Power move: return to facts, question the narrative, and choose the response that helps Future-You. Try This (micro-exercises) Catch the cue: Notice “I can't / I don't / that's just who I am.” That's a belief flag. Fact filter: Write the bare facts of a trigger (no adjectives). Then write your story. Separate them. Clean slate check: If you'd never met this person/situation before, what else could be true? Feelings audit: Name what you feel, then ask: “Is this wanted here? If not, what's the smallest useful action?” Connect with Luke: Website: www.lifecoachluke.com Instagram: @mylifecoachluke Email: luke@lifecoachluke.com Join the After the Affair community at www.facebook.com/groups/aftertheaffaircommunity

This work is perhaps the least aphoristic, in form, of all Nietzsche's productions. For analytical power, more especially in those parts where Nietzsche examines the ascetic ideal, The Genealogy of Morals is unequalled by any other of his works; and, in the light which it throws upon the attitude of the ecclesiast to the man of resentment and misfortune, it is one of the most valuable contributions to sacerdotal psychology. In this thought-provoking episode, listeners are invited to explore a radical perspective on human perception—one that challenges the deeply ingrained notions of good and bad. These long-standing concepts, often used to judge events, people, and experiences, are presented not as universal truths but as outdated mental frameworks that limit growth and understanding. The episode begins by examining how societies have historically relied on dualistic thinking to categorize life. Good and bad have been wielded as tools to control behavior, maintain order, and shape collective values. Yet, as consciousness evolves, these binary labels begin to reveal their limitations. They oversimplify reality, overlooking the complexity and nuance inherent in human experience. What once seemed necessary for survival may now hinder deeper awareness and higher forms of understanding.Listeners are guided through an exploration of how these polarizing concepts affect the way we interpret events in our own lives. When something happens, it is often judged immediately as positive or negative, right or wrong, success or failure. But what if these interpretations are not reflections of reality, but rather projections of conditioned thought? The episode delves into how this conditioning forms, how it influences emotional responses, and how it perpetuates cycles of judgment that keep individuals locked within rigid mental frameworks.Throughout the discussion, the conversation expands beyond individual psychology into a broader, more universal lens. By letting go of the archaic idea of good and bad, one begins to see life as a fluid unfolding - events occurring not with inherent moral value but as opportunities for growth, awareness, and conscious choice. This perspective does not deny the presence of challenge, discomfort, or consequence; rather, it reframes them, suggesting that what we once labeled as bad may simply be misunderstood, and what we call good may carry unseen costs.Listeners are invited to consider how releasing these outdated constructs opens the door to a more liberated way of being. Without the heavy weight of judgment, experiences can be met with curiosity instead of resistance, and responses can be shaped from clarity rather than fear. The episode emphasizes that evolving beyond good and bad does not lead to chaos or moral ambiguity; instead, it invites the development of discernment - a deeper, more intuitive understanding of action, consequence, and alignment with higher values.By the conclusion, the episode leaves its audience with a powerful invitation: to see the world not through the narrow lens of good versus bad, but through the expansive awareness of what is. Life becomes richer, more intricate, and far more meaningful when freed from archaic concepts that once served us but no longer reflect who we are becoming.

The business world is changing fast. AI is reshaping how customers search, buy, and connect — but most companies are still stuck in old habits, missing the human magic that actually builds loyalty. At the same time, too many businesses are confusing efficiency with excellence. They're chasing five-star reviews that may not mean what they think they do, and ticking boxes while their customers quietly drift away. My guest today, Steven Van Belleghem, has spent over a decade helping companies level up their customer experience — and he's here to show you how to stay relevant when "good" just doesn't cut it anymore. Steven is a bestselling author, global keynote speaker, and trusted advisor to brands that want to balance tech innovation with human connection.  He's also walked the talk on over 1,000 stages around the world, and has a refreshingly honest take on what it takes to create moments that matter — both in business and on stage. If you want to future-proof your brand, wow your customers, and connect with audiences in a way that gets remembered and rewarded… this episode is for you. What you'll discover: What's broken in how most companies connect with customers today (and how to fix it) What it really means to be "great" in a world where "good" is everywhere Why customer experience inflation is giving companies a dangerous false sense of security What today's customers want beyond just product and service – and how to give it to them Real-world examples of brands balancing digital convenience with human warmth How Steven built a global speaking career from a research job (and a Microsoft invite!) The surprising key to building lasting audience connection from the stage Whether AI, apps, or interactivity belong in live talks (and Steven's refreshingly honest take) Why you don't need to be flawless on stage to be unforgettable The #1 mindset shift that will help you speak with heart, not just polish Enjoy!   If you'd like to watch the interview on YouTube, you can do that here>>   All things Steven: Website: https://www.stevenvanbelleghem.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stevenvanbelleghem/ Books & Resources*: The Offer You Can't Refuse by Steven Van Belleghem Speaking Resources: Grab Your From Blank Page to Stage Guide and Nail the Topic for a Client Winning Talk Want to get better at finding and sharing your stories then check out our FREE Five Day Snackable Story Challenge   Thanks for listening!   To share your thoughts:                                                   Share this show on X, Facebook or LinkedIn. Beyond 'Good' or 'Bad': The 3 Parental Reaction Blueprints

In this quick solo episode, I'm talking about a newsletter I wrote on Substack about reaction types. There are many different ways parents can react when their child becomes dysregulated, pushes against a boundary they have set, or throws a tantrum. Many of these reactions are rooted in the ways we were raised by our parents or the experiences we had as we grew up. Today, I'm going to talk about the three reaction types I encounter most frequently during my coaching with parents and working with families, and I'll also provide a bonus reaction type at the end of the episode.1. Hyper-Reactor or the Punisher The parent who will go from zero to 100 instantly and doesn't have the tools to regulate themselves. They feel discomfort because of their child's reaction to something they don't like. This may be rooted in an association from their own childhood, where they didn't feel safe expressing their own emotions. Sometimes this can feel like the child is being disrespectful to the parent. 2. Panicked ParentThe parent who knows to control their big emotions around their child who is struggling but they are terribly uncomfortable with the situation. This parent over explains the boundary or tries to justify the decision or offer other choices to make the situation better. This isn't perceived as a good thing by the dysregulated child, it just feels like more input and they cannot tolerate it. 3. The AdjustorThe parent who is an overthinker and is second guessing their boundaries all the time. When they go to hold a boundary and their child pushes back against it, they make adjustments to their boundary to avoid or stop dysregulation. This is a band aid approach to parenting because it doesn't teach kids how to tolerate frustration. Bonus Type: Avoidant ParentThe parent who doesn't have a hard time staying calm, but struggles so much to set a boundary, and avoids it at all costs. They are eggshell parenting and have crafted a perfect environment so their kids don't have to experience any sort of hardship. Avoidant parents shut down when their kids become dysregulated.Resources: Substack newsletter - Beyond ‘Good' or ‘Bad': The 3 Parental Reaction Blueprints: https://albiona.substack.com/p/beyond-good-or-bad-the-3-parentalPARR Workshop: https://stan.store/theparentingreframe/parrworkshopBe sure to sign up for my Substack newsletter for longer and more specialized parenting content: https://albiona.substack.com/ I hope you found this episode helpful; for more parenting tips, check out my website and blog for more information. https://theparentingreframe.com/Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theparentingreframe/Follow me on TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@theparentingreframe

This episode is an upload to Spotify of my response to Abigail Thorn's "Was Nietzsche Woke?" video. This video was previously uploaded to Youtube.Watch me spend more time than the entire length of Abigail Thorn's video explaining why it is a superficial hit piece based on strained, bizarre arguments and outright false information. There are many "creative omissions" in Philosophy Tube's video, "Was Nietzsche Woke?": rather basic information about Nietzsche's life and his ideas is left out that would completely one's view of the information presented. In this rebuttal, we'll look at the statements in Nietzsche's own published works in Human, All Too Human (1878), Daybreak (1881), The Gay Science (1882), Beyond Good & Evil (1886) Ecce Homo (1888) & Twilight of Idols (1888) as well as selections from Nietzsche's letters, his essays, and unpublished notes assembled in Will to Power. Philosophy Tube's video relies almost entirely on secondary sources and clearly does not derive from a direct engagement with the actual texts. While I actually have read all of the primary source material, I also reference the following secondary sources in this video:The Legend of the Anti-Christ: A History by Stephen J. Vicchio (2009)Nietzsche, Philosopher, Psychologist, Antchrist by Walter Kaufmann (Fourth Edition, Princeton University Press, 1974)Nietzsche's Women: Beyond the Whip by Carol Diethe (2013, De Gruyter)I was also informed in my study by the biographies provided by Krell & Bates, as well as Curtis Cate and the work of Charlie Huenemann. Stephen Hicks' book, Nietzsche and the Nazis, while I disagree with it on many points, was also helpful in elucidating the difference between Nietzsche's view of Christianity versus that of the Nazis. Also, Robert Solomon helped contextualize the common views around eugenics in 19th century Europe.

Welcome to another powerful episode of the Full Frontal Living Podcast with Lisa Carpenter! In episode 307, Lisa invites listeners to explore the depth of their inner world with the timeless fable of the two wolves, drawing on her own journey and her extensive coaching experience.Lisa shares both the classic and extended versions of the "Two Wolves" fable, unpacking how this story relates to our daily choices, emotions, and personal growth. Instead of seeing the “Dark Wolf” (our challenges, doubts, and tough emotions) as something to ignore, Lisa encourages us to acknowledge and understand both our dark and light sides. Ultimately, this episode is a powerful reminder that we all possess the incredible power to choose which parts of ourselves we nurture—but also how much richer life can be when we accept and learn from all of our internal experiences.Key Highlights:You Always Have a Choice: Lisa reminds us that the life we're living is the result of countless choices, both conscious and unconscious. Where we put our attention and energy—whether it's on positivity and growth or on negative thought loops—shapes our experience and outcomes.Beyond “Good” and “Bad” Sides: The extended version of the Two Wolves fable reveals that both our dark and light sides have gifts to offer. Instead of starving one side, we're invited to feed both, gaining courage, tenacity, compassion, and self-compassion in the process.Embracing All of Yourself: Lisa models how to integrate, value, and lovingly acknowledge every part of who we are—including the parts we often try to hide or suppress. This acceptance is where true peace, ease, and fulfillment are found. The Power to Change Your Story: Suffering and struggle may seem like our default settings, but by choosing to focus on what we want to create (rather than what we wish to avoid), we empower ourselves to change—and truly thrive.Real Transformation: Lisa's episode is not just theory; she shares personal examples and client experiences that show just how much is possible when we honor all of ourselves, create new habits, and choose courage over comfort. This episode is more than just a story; it's about the freedom that comes when you realize your power to choose and start integrating all parts of yourself. Lisa encourages you to reflect: How can you nurture both your dark and light wolves—and what could become possible if you do?Grab your earbuds, get cozy (or go out on a walk!), and let Lisa guide you to greater self-understanding and empowerment. Resources:To learn about Lisa's transformative "Reclamation" program, visit LisaCarpenter.ca/ReclamationLisa loves hearing feedback from her listeners!
