Shine!LDS AND MEDIUM PODCAST BACKGROUND:I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or LDS for short. All my life I felt awkward and out of place, not because of my religion, but because of my spiritual gifts. It was hard to combine the idea of what first seemed like two separate worlds. So my whole life I have tried. I have learnt more about my gifts, and stayed faithful to my faith. But then I heard people left the church because it seems impossible to combine the two. So I am here, to try and mend the rift. To show that it is possible to be both LDS and to have, and use, our spiritual gifts. I am not alone on this journey, but my sister, who just is waking up to her spiritual gifts is by my side and she will also share her story.Jesus Christ, our older brother, was a healer. He asked us to love one another. So let´s follow in his footsteps. Please join me on this journey, let´s make a community of strong spiritual LDS, or whatever religion you belong to, and all work together to make this world a better place. If you like what I do, then you can find me here:https://linktr.ee/ldsandmediumIf you have words of support or stories that you anonymously want me to share please write me at ldsandmedium@gmail.com. My guest today is Brad Chandler, Chief Transformative Officer for LimitlessYou. LimitlessYou helps high achievers rewrite their stories and create a life of freedom, connection, and joy. I'm Krista Crawford, your host for today's episode. Brad, thank you so much for carving out your busy schedule. Welcome, welcome. Thanks for having me. We're going to cover quite a few topics today, so let's just go right ahead and dig in. One of the first that I like to ask is, what's your personal “Why,” and what are you doing to manifest it? Oh, I love it. My personal “Why” is something I figured out three and a half years ago. It took me 47 years of living, and that is to help people unlock these hidden beliefs in their subconscious mind that is driving the behavior that's not serving them, whether it's their businesses failing or struggling or cash flow issues or relationship issues or addiction, anxiety, depression, anything like that. Almost always those things are being driven by this subconscious beliefs that were formed decades ago. So my “Why” is to impact as many, I want to help a million people erase these limiting beliefs so they can live the life and have the relationships that they deserve. I'm going to go ahead and follow up with that one. What's a good example, obviously not giving the person's name, but what's an example of where you helped someone discover something from the past that was keeping them from moving forward? Yeah, I mean, a text I got about 8 months ago was from a client that said, thank you for changing my life and my family's life. And he came to me, his relationship with his wife was on the brink of divorce. And after doing the work with him, he realized some things from childhood that was affecting his relationship with his wife and that he really couldn't recall. We always remember everything. Remembering it means it's in your subconscious. Everything is stored in your subconscious, but we often can't recall it because it's painful. Fast forward a year and a half after working with him and his marriage is amazing, and I never met with his wife. I never had a marriage counseling session because relationship problems aren't ever the actual relationship. It's a relationship each individual has with themselves. So he's a good example of one of the hundred people that we've helped over the years. I'm glad you mentioned issues that take place earlier. One of the questions I also like to ask is, think back to your, let's say 13, 14, 15 year old self. What did you think you would be doing at this stage in your life now? What I did for most of my life, and that is real estate and making lots of money because as a child, love was shown to me through money. And then we had so many money problems in our house that I figured, well, at 10 years old, my mom and dad got divorced and my dad stopped paying. And so at one point in time, my mom said, we may lose the house that I lived in since I was born,

If we want to end our suffering then we MUST understand that our suffering is tied to the belief systems we hold. Today we will dive into the cause of why we adopt certain beliefs, and how to release ourselves from them to obtain what it is we prefer. By understanding the science behind how belief works, in comparison to the studies on human biology, we can learn to not only recode our genetics, but transmute and manifest the life we desire, and further step into our power. During todays episode, I will also share a recent channeling from spirit about the power of belief, and how it integrates into our reality. It's not just the MAGA crowd who are concerned with government waste and inefficiency. In a convincing Wall Street Journal op-ed, best-selling tech author Larry Downes questions the need for a thousand Social Security offices around the country. Downes argues that the federal government's resistance to digital transformation has resulted in staggeringly low user satisfaction rates - just 12% for federal government services. Despite more than 85% of federal workers being based outside Washington, there have been few serious attempts to modernize these services through e-government initiatives. While the incoming Trump administration's "Doge" team has talked about reforming government, Downes remains skeptical about implementation, citing political obstacles rather than technical challenges. He notes that while Estonia and Denmark offer successful e-government models, American reform efforts face unique hurdles, including congressional resistance to closing local offices and bureaucratic procurement processes that often outlast technology cycles. Downes suggests that modernization could significantly improve service delivery while reducing costs, though it would impact federal employment. He emphasizes that this isn't about privatization but rather bringing government services into the digital age - something that could potentially serve as a safeguard against authoritarian overreach by systematizing government processes in transparent, digital systems.Larry Downes is the author of five books on the impact of technology on business, society, and the law. His first book, “Unleashing the Killer App” (Harvard Business School Press), was an international bestseller, with over 200,000 copies in print. The Wall Street Journal named it one of the five most important books ever published on business and technology. His most recent book is “Pivot to the Future” (Public Affairs), co-authored with Omar Abbosh and Paul Nunes of Accenture. It has been nominated for the 2019 Thinkers50 Strategy Award. Downes writes the “Innovations” column for The Washington Post and is a regular contributor to Harvard Business Review. He was previously a columnist for Forbes, CNET and The Industry Standard. He has written for a variety of other publications, including The New York Times, USA Today, Inc., The Economist, Wired, MIT Sloan Management Review, Entrepreneur, Fast Company, Recode, The Hill, Congressional Quarterly, Slate, The European Business Review, The Boao Review, and The San Francisco Chronicle. Downes has held faculty appointments at The University of Chicago, Northwestern University, and the University of California—Berkeley, where he was Associate Dean of the School of Information. From 2006-2010, he was a Fellow with the Stanford Law School Center for Internet and Society. From 2015-2019, he was Project Director at the Georgetown Center for Business and Public Policy at the McDonough School of Business. Downes testifies frequently before Congress on issues related to the regulation of technology, including those dealing with antitrust, privacy, communications policy, media law, and the role of the Federal Communications Commission and the Federal Trade Commission in the 21st century. He holds a B.A. from Northwestern University and a J.D. from the University of Chicago. From 1993-1994, he served as law clerk to the Hon. Richard A. Posner, Chief Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He lives in Berkeley, CA.Named as one of the "100 most connected men" by GQ magazine, Andrew Keen is amongst the world's best known broadcasters and commentators. We're switching/SWISHing it up this week, with our mini-sode today and our main episode out on Thursday, because there is just so much rolling news right now. Today, Sami and V are joined by Kara Swisher, tech journalist, Pivot co-host, co-founder of Recode, and New York Times bestselling author of Burn Book. Her memoir chronicles her decades-long career covering the rise of Silicon Valley, what they're like up close, how they've helped and how they harmed us.Topics: Congress is finally starting to move into action to regulate big tech companies, but will it be effective? A look into why these companies have become too rich and too powerful to regulate properly. Earlier regulation for apps like TikTok could help prevent total bans. Kara emphasizes that despite its popularity, TikTok must adhere to American regulations and values the same as any other broadcast network. The consequence of dominance in the industry by a few huge companies has led to the demise of traditional news outlets and the spread of misinformation. “Even if it was never the intention,” writes Kara Swisher, tech companies have become “key players in killing our comity and stymieing our politics, our government, our social fabric, and most of all, our minds.” Those are harsh words from the longtime Silicon Valley journalist who says she once rooted for young tech innovators like Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. Her disillusionment with the industry she covered is the foundation of her new memoir “Burn Book: A Tech Love Story.” We talk to her about what she's learned from nearly three decades of reporting. Her latest book it titled: Burn Book: A Tech Love Story.   Some interesting insights from this episode: ·       Her father's passing when she was just five made her appreciate the ephemeral nature of life and focus on what truly matters. ·       A lot of big tech titans have a big deficit in their upbringing and replace it with enablers and fence themselves off from the population, hence their isolation and loneliness.  ·       With her direct no nonsense approach, she has an uncanny ability to get big people to open up and share unique insights.  ·       She has been as entrepreneurial and innovative with her career as the tech entrepreneurs she covers for a living.  ·       She feels Steve Jobs is the most consequential figure of the modern tech era. ·       She has called Mark Zuckerberg one of the most carelessly dangerous men in the history of technology. ·       “Excellence is doing your very best to get to the heart of something, doing your very best to create something fresh and new, and doing your very best to get it right.”   Notes: Book: Burn Book: A Tech Love Story Podcasts: Pivot   On with Kara Swisher
