In this landmark sixth chapter of The Journey Beyond Death, we begin a new arc titled “Mystics & Seers” by welcoming two of the most piercing voices in spiritual inquiry: Jeff Berwick and Shunyamurti. Together, they unravel what lies beyond this world—and how to reclaim the truth buried beneath illusion. Jeff Berwick, founder of The Dollar Vigilante, challenges the very nature of reality. Is this world a divine simulation? Is death just a shift of levels in a cosmic game? Through years of intensive meditation and consciousness experimentation, Berwick offers raw, revolutionary insights: that fear is programmed, death is misunderstood, and freedom begins when the mind surrenders. Shunyamurti, spiritual director of the Sat Yoga Ashram, takes us even deeper—into the still center of being that never dies. With razor-sharp clarity and mystical presence, he explores why the soul incarnates, how ego fragments the Real, and what it means to awaken before death. His message: You are not the body, not the mind, not even the story. You are the eternal light watching it all. This episode is not for the casually curious. It's for the seeker standing at the threshold, ready to cross. Death is not the end. It is the illusion we must transcend to truly live. ------------------------------ Featuring in order of appearance 01:00 - Metaphysical Seeker & Sovereignty Advocate Jeff Berwick 44:00 - Spiritual Master & Founder of the Sat Yoga Institute Shunyamurti -------------------------------- Jeff Berwick is a financial iconoclast, spiritual truth-seeker, and founder of The Dollar Vigilante. After building and selling Canada's largest financial website, Stockhouse.com, Berwick spent years traveling to over 100 countries—seeking freedom, truth, and a deeper understanding of reality beyond the mainstream matrix. One of the first analysts to call Bitcoin at $3 and Ethereum at $2, Berwick also teaches that we're living in a cosmic simulation—a spiritual “video game” where awakening means reclaiming our power from fear, control, and illusion. Through his media platform Vigilante.tv, bestselling book The Controlled Demolition of the American Empire, and his annual Anarchapulco conference, Berwick fuses financial independence, metaphysics, and radical self-liberation. Website: TV Channel: ----------------------------- Shunyamurti is a renowned spiritual teacher, yogi, and founder of the Sat Yoga Institute and Ashram in Costa Rica. Drawn to the path of inner liberation from an early age, he immersed himself in advanced practices of meditation, self-inquiry, and multiple yogic disciplines. His training included an apprenticeship with Baba Hari Dass, extensive study of Sri Ramana Maharshi's teachings, and over a decade of committed spiritual life in a Brahmachari ashram in India. Shunyamurti's wisdom synthesizes the core insights of Advaita Vedanta, Shaivism, and Buddhism with Western psychoanalytic traditions, transpersonal psychology, and mysticism. He has also explored altered states of consciousness through entheogens and integrated learnings from esoteric traditions like Taoism, Kabbalah, and mystical Christianity. Through his talks, writings, and intensive retreats, Shunyamurti offers a transformative path for those seeking inner silence, self-realization, and the transcendence of ego. Send us a textThis episode centers around the often-debated criteria for finding the right guru within Advaita Vedanta, questioning the necessity of a guru's knowledge of Sanskrit versus their ability to facilitate direct experiences of spiritual enlightenment. The discussion highlights the significance of moving from intellectual understanding to experiential realization in the spiritual journey.• The debate over the need for Sanskrit knowledge among gurus• Emphasis on experience over intellectualization in spirituality• The teachings of the Upanishads as more than linguistic understandings• Key examples from figures like Swami Vivekananda and Sri Ramakrishna • Importance of moving from Shravana to Nididhyasana practices• Insights from Sri Ramana Maharshi's non-verbal teachings• Need for teachers who embody teachings rather than just explain them • Overall focus on the pursuit of direct experience over academic masteryJoin our Discord Server: https://discord.gg/hnRf7wESwX Visit my website: https://www.thebeardedmysticpodcast.com/Buy The Bearded Mystic Podcast Merch: https://thebeardedmysticpodcast.myshopify.com/Want a one-on-one spiritual discussion with The Bearded Mystic - book here: https://www.thebeardedmysticpodcast.com/p/spiritual-discussion/Subscribe to The Bearded Mystic Podcast channel: https://www.youtube.com/ @TheBeardedMysticPodcastBecome a Patron: https://www.patreon.com/thebeardedmysticpodcastRahul on Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/beardedmystic.bsky.socialSupport the show

And He gave you this episode. Love's giving you this message- "You're asking for the wrong thing... asking for a sign of something to come, or of something to start, but it's here. Just as I Am. See this. Affirm: "I need Peace, I don't need control. I need God, I don't need a sign. I have God, so I have everything." And now relax into that Everything. Drop your shoulders down and back into that Everything. Drop your mind down into your heart. How does that sound? Put your hands up, palms up. What do you see? Are you looking at hands or are you looking at Love? Love is your body. Love is The Sign... watch things get GoOD. All the present troubles are due to thoughts and are themselves thoughts. Give up thoughts. That is happiness and also meditation. D: How are thoughts given up? M.: The thoughts are for the thinker. Remain as the Self of the thinker and there is an end of thoughts. (Talk 452) D.: How is meditation to be practiced? Sri Ramana: Meditation is, truly speaking, Atmanishtha (to be fixed as the Self). But when thoughts cross the mind and an effort is made to eliminate them the effort is usually termed meditation. Atmanishtha is your real nature. Remain as you are. That is the aim. D.: But thoughts come up. Is our effort meant to eliminate thoughts only? Sri Ramana: Yes. How to Be Free of Outer and Inner Distractions with Shunyamurti Shunyamurti became aware of yoga as a spiritual path at an early age and was immediately drawn to it. He spent many years of meditation practice and training in numerous forms of yoga, including apprenticeship with Baba Hari Dass, deep study of the life and teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi, and ten years of vowed association with a Brahmachari ashram in India. The teachings of such Eastern approaches to consciousness as Sankhya, Advaita, Advaya, and the insights of esoteric Shaivism and Buddhism, have been supplemented by the intensive study of Western metaphysics, and profound exploration of the dimensions opened by entheogens. From formal study of transpersonal psychology and hypnotherapy, various forms of psychoanalysis, including Kleinian and Lacanian approaches, and post-Jungian analysis and dreamwork, to the perennial philosophies, including Taoism, Kabbalah, and mystical Christianity, to postmodern philosophy, Shunyamurti has been a lifelong student and meditator. A reading for meditation of excerpts taken from the text "All Else is Bondage". Terence James Stannus Gray (14 September 1895 – 5 January 1986), better known by the pen name Wei Wu Wei, was a 20th-century Taoist philosopher, writer, Egyptologist and theatre producer. Gray was born in Felixstowe, Suffolk, England on 14 September 1895, into a well-established Anglo-Irish family. He was educated at numerous prestigious institutions including Eton and Oxford University. After he left his theatrical career, his thoughts turned towards philosophy and metaphysics. This led to a period of travel throughout Asia, including time spent at Ramana Maharshi's ashram in Tiruvannamalai, India. Between the years 1958 and 1974 a series of eight books appeared attributed to the mysterious 'Wei Wu Wei'. These works draw on a variety of sources, including Taoism, specifically the texts attributed to Lao Tzu and Chuang Tzu, Buddhism, especially The Heart, Diamond and Lankavatara Sutras, and Chan Buddhism as taught by Hui Neng, Huang Po, Hui Hai, etc., as well as the teachings of Padmasambhava and Sri Ramana Maharshi, among others.

These works draw on a variety of sources, including Taoism, specifically the texts attributed to Lao Tzu and Chuang Tzu, Buddhism, especially The Heart, Diamond and Lankavatara Sutras, and Chan Buddhism as taught by Hui Neng, Huang Po, Hui Hai, etc., as well as the teachings of Padma Sambhava and Sri Ramana Maharshi, among others.
