– ROGER EARL –Celebrating 50 years of Foghat in 2021, Roger Earl is still ferociously banging away! Born in London, England (Hampton Court & raised in Hounslow) in 1946 to a musical family where his father played piano at home and local pubs and there was always music in the house. Although he wanted to play piano, his older brother Colin Earl (keyboard player with the band Mungo Jerry of ‘In the Summertime' fame) won that right. Roger began to play drums at the age of 12, took lessons for two years, and played with local bands around London while working as a commercial artist. He had a measure of success before auditioning for and joining the British Blues band Savoy Brown at age 20, with whom he recorded 5 albums (1967-1970) and toured the U.S. extensively. In 1970, Roger and Lonesome Dave Peverett decided to leave Savoy Brown to form Foghat. They enlisted former Savoy bass player Tony Stevens and Slide guitarist Rod Price and the rest has been rock n' roll history.Moving from England to the North Shore of Long Island in 1973, the band settled around the Port Jefferson area since their manager lived there. Roger loved the area and being an avid fisherman, especially enjoyed the fishing.During the 70's Foghat had a series of hit records such as “I Just Want to Make Love to You”, “Fool for the City”, “Slow Ride”, “Stone Blue”, “Drivin' Wheel”, “Third Time Lucky” and more. They were known as the hardest working band in Rock n' Roll since they toured 10 out of 12 months during this period.FOGHAT has a new album out called SONIC MOJO! https://foghat.comhttps://foghat.com/tour

Roger Earl is an English drummer best known as a member of the rock band Foghat. A founding member, along with guitarist and vocalist "Lonesome" Dave Peverett, guitarist Rod Price, and bassist Tony Stevens, Earl is the only member to feature in every lineup of the band. Foghat rose to superstardom in the 70's with hits like Slow Ride, I Just Want to Make Love to You, and Fool for the City. They've recorded over 15 studio albums, and their 1977 release, Foghat Live went double platinum.

Today Nick and Tony Stevens dive into this question: What is the Bible? We recorded this conversation for our YouTube channel, but the highlight episode hasn't been released yet so you are getting an early glimpse of our conversation here! They address a few questions they have worked through personally, and also questions our students have. We did target this conversation for students, but if you have a desire to read, understand, and experience the power of the Bible, then this conversation is for you!
The reach of the English Premier League is mind-boggling. According to its 2019/20 annual review, 880 million homes in 180 countries have access to live matches.Quite simply, the Premier League is one of the most exciting and high-quality sports leagues in the world, featuring many of the world's best players and coaches duelling it out on a weekly basis. The cultural impact of the clubs and players is immense. You only need to examine the case of young Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford – whose campaign for free school meals for children coming from challenging economic backgrounds changed government policy – to understand the significance of the league and those who take part in that. That's why it's encouraging to see many of the 20 teams start to take climate action and address sustainability in a meaningful way.During this episode, we sit down with Sport Positive founder Claire Poole – the creator of the Premier League Sustainability Table – to discuss her findings, as well as representatives from two of the best-ranked clubs in the table: Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton.Tony Stevens, the head of public relations for the former, explains how Spurs surged to the top of the table by making sustainability core to the club's business, while Tim Greenwell, the chief legal and risk officer for Southampton, talks about the club's new sustainability strategy, The Halo Effect.

Episode Notes Sunday Edition; A round-table conversation on Voting and where our community stands in regards to accessible voting Disclaimer I want to bring a comprehensive and informative conversation to listeners around the state of accessible voting and review certain legalities and victories. I assembled a few very knowledgeable folks with lots of voting advocacy experience for this round-table. Unfortunately due to some personal circumstances I could not avoid I will be unable to host the show this Sunday. Fret none my friends and listeners for, like the old adage claims: The Show Must Go On!!! So Gabriel Lopez Kafati with the knowledgeable and radio friendly Clark Rachfal and Cheryl Cummings will take the helm of Sunday Edition and facilitate this amazing discussion featuring: Jim Kracht; Member of ACB's Board of Directors, FCB's Immediate Past President and life long accessible voting advocate. He will lead us through the successful Florida legal action and share his impressive knowledge and experience on the subject. Jeff Thom of the California Board and subject matter expert will enlighten us on the resistance of online balloting submissions, his work testing and advocating for voting by mail systems from a unique vantage perspective. Mike Godino makes a second Sunday Edition appearance to add his knowledge and perspective both from an advocating and implementation stance. Mike was joined by his feisty and fabulous partner Lori on last weeks couple extravaganza and we are very glad to call on this Friend to the show to invigorate the conversation again this week. Ardis Bazyn has a formidable mind and advocating history. Her knowledge on this subject and so much more makes her a Mover and Shaker in ACB who is respected and will add a expansive perspective to this conversation. Lynne Koral joins us to talk about the landmark Alaska legislation that is a statute in independent voting. Tony Stevens who returned to ACB with much fanfare and a strong vision for advocacy just weeks before COVID-19 strangled our world as we knew it and helped to harness the energy and spirit of our beloved convention, the success of which we are all still celebrating. His knowledge and radio-suave voice is instantly recognizable and will be an asset to the conversation. Then, of course, there is Cheryl Cumings who's velvet smooth voice is well known to ACB Radio listeners and a Bay State Board member and staunch accessible voting advocate will help Gabriel to Helm the round-table discussion. Clark Rachfal needs no introduction and is also a friend to Sunday Edition and I would like to thank him for readily accepting my last minute plea for his knowledge and passionate perspective. Gabriel Lopez Kafati; What can I say about this engaging co-host of Pride Connection and the President of BPI?? A naturalized citizen who has regaled us before, is a passionate advocating force in so many arenas and who just days after his swearing in ceremony joined the Leadership mid year meetings and has been a strong and vocal member of ACB and advocating initiatives for well over 10 years. His engaging and intelligent demeanor will be the perfect co-facilitator for this weeks show. So although I cannot helm a show I was so excited to bring to ACB Radio Mainstream this week I am confident that I have structured a show that will inform as it entertains all of the listeners I have come to love. I will miss the opportunity to talk with all these dynamic folks I am so proud to hand the show in confidence to them all. I will be back next week with an impressive Audio-Description Panel of industry insiders led by Roy Samuelson and Chris Snyder who with their impressive industry collogues will give us a back stage look into A.D. and areas of advocating for quality standards. As always I love to hear all your comments and feedback for the show. Those along with questions can be sent to celebrationac@aol.com Please enjoy the show and thank you all for the wonderful response to Sunday edition so far. I will miss it very much this week. Your Host and Friend, Anthony corona

A generation ago we didn’t have cell phones, computers, and social media apps to interact with each other. So, with all of this new technology, has the youth of today lost its “personal touch” or are parents just “out of touch with reality” and blowing it all out of proportion? Are children growing up today with less social skills, less ability to “hold their own” when it comes to interviewing for a job or developing a true friendship? And are today’s youth more susceptible to developing an “addiction” because of all the social media and gaming? All of these questions will be looked at as psychotherapist Tom Stevens dives into the dilemma of technology and its impact on the social skills of today’s youth. Featured guest NickStevens and Tony Stevens will share her expertise and insight, as teenagers entering college and high school. They have the perspective of someone who has grown up with social media and can educate parents on what they should and should not be concerned about. This is your chance to ask questions about your children or where society is going with regard to communication and relationships in a social media filled world. You don’t want to miss this informative and entertaining show! You can call (347)838-9737 to listen LIVE, make a comment, or ask your question. Special guest Tony Stevens, formerly of Foghat
Tony Stevens was the bass player for the band Foghat. in 1971 Bearsville Records founder Albert Grossman brought Foghat into a recording studio to lay down some initial tracks with producer Todd Rundgren. Unfortunately, the pairing didn't pan out and the effort was scrapped, although some of the tracks that Rundgren recorded with the group were included on their debut album.
