Ceea ce ar fi părut o simplă formalitate a devenit deodată un subiect mai complicat. Decius, senatorul ajuns accidental (oare?) în rolul de împărat pare că se descurcă foarte bine. Are respectul Senatului, și propune o reîntoarcere la valorile tradiționale ale Romei. Îl emulează pe cât posibil pe Traian, Optimus Princeps, al cărui nume și-l asumă; Restitutor Sacrorum - restauratorul sacralității, face însă o greșeală care va aliena și va anima o comunitate mică dar în creștere - comunitatea creștină.

Primăria Timișoara are pregătit pentru depunere la finanțare prin Programul Regional Vest un proiect de regenerare urbană care va oferi orașului un al doilea centru istoric. Piața Traian și străzile adiacente vor trece printr-o transformare complexă, la capătul căreia zona își va schimba aspectul și funcționalitatea.  Proiectul are o valoarea de aproximativ 33 de milioane de euro și este așteptată doar deschiderea efectivă a liniei de finanțare de către Agenția de Dezvoltare Regională Vest, estimată să se întâmple peste aproximativ o lună. Primarul Dominic Fritz a vorbit pentru RFI România despre importanța acestei investiții și despre așteptările pe care le are legat de aceasta.

Maşinile nu pot circula în intervalul 06.00 – 20.00 din cauza lucrărilor la lotul 2 al autostrăzii Sibiu-Pitești. CNAIR a stabilit rute ocolitoare, de unde a ridicat orice restricţie, iar CFR a suplimentat numărul de garnituri.Decizia închiderii circulației pe Valea Oltului, una din principalele rute către vestul țării, a fost anunțată pe 4 iulie, de ministrul transporturilor Sorin Grindeanu. Urmele unor fortificații romane se întâlnesc pe întregul defileu al Oltului.În secolele trecute, până la Marea Unire din 1918, Valea Oltului a fost punct de trecere între regiunile istorice Transilvania și Muntenia. Drumul din defileul Oltului a fost amenajat în secolul al XVIII-lea, potrivit unor istorici, după ce Oltenia a ajuns sub stăpânirea habsburgilor. Drumul pe Valea Oltului, dintre Cozia şi Câineni, a fost cunoscut sub denumirea de Via Carolina, după numele împăratului Carol al Vl - lea. In 1948, the Stalinist Gheorghiu-Dej, his mentor, having taken power, he took the opportunity to quickly climb the ranks of the party and the state. Installed in power in March 1965, Ceauşescu inherited the policy of his predecessor: avoiding de-Stalinization by playing the nationalist card. Its beginnings were popular thanks to a certain cultural liberalization, the beginning of a consumer society and an opening towards the West. However, the oil shocks and the détente between the United States and the Soviet Union in the mid-1970s deprived him of the resources needed to pursue his policy.  His role as a bridge between East and West, his industrialization policy based on Western capital and technologies and his popularity within Romanian society collapsed at the turn of the 1980s. But some people don't! 我們都知道自己的兄弟姊妹是誰，但有人可能不知道喔。 Dacina and Traian are a sister and brother. They are from Romania. They did not have a mother or father. One family took Dacina. She was their new baby daughter. Another family took Traian. He was their new baby son. Dacina did not know Traian, and Traian did not know Dacina. Dacina 跟 Traian 是一對羅馬尼亞的姊弟，他們是孤兒，被不同的家庭領養，所以不認識彼此。 That was fifty years ago. This year, Dacina took a DNA test. Traian took a DNA test too. Ceva memorabil s-a întâmplat în decembrie 2022. OpenAI a lansat ChatGPT, o tehnologie de tipul chatbot, capabilă să răspundă la aproape orice întrebare, să scrie cod și să imagineze texte, de la literatură, la emailuri și comunicate de presă. În ianuarie, a avut mai mult de 100 de milioane de utilizatori în toată lumea. A provocat o frenezie în rândul oamenilor ca voi și ca mine, care, săptămâni la rând, au pus ChatGPT la încercare cu tot felul de cereri și proiecte creative. Companiile de tehnologie, de la Microsoft la Google, au intrat într-o competiție serioasă pentru a anunța propriile lor produse de tipul ChatGPT. Acești roboți, capabili să genereze limbaj natural, devin unul dintre subiectele majore ale anului 2023. Traian Rebedea este antreprenor, cercetător la Universitatea Politehnică și unul dintre oamenii care lucrează cu această tehnologie. A cofondat Roboself, o companie care a creat un chatbot specializat și care a fost cumpărată de Nvidia. Am vorbit cu el despre ce este ChatGPT, cum e antrenat un astfel de sistem, care îi sunt limitările și dacă e capabil sau nu de creativitate și de lucruri originale. Dar și despre cum îl putem folosi fiecare dintre noi pentru a ne simplifica viețile și cum poate transforma felul în care lucrăm și învățăm. Am vorbit despre miza acestei lansări care a dat lumea peste cap, dacă ChatGPT a fost sau nu capabil să treacă un test de angajare la Google, despre cum s-a certat și contrazis cu utilizatorii lui și de ce și despre capacitatea lui de a fi ”uman” și a ne înduioșa cu răspunsurile teribil de vulnerabile uneori. Jak zvládnou česká města nástup elektromobility? Poslechněte si názor expertů ze Škoda Auto a EIT. „Bydlím v centru Prahy a po petrolejařích také nečekám, že mi přivedou hadici s benzínem až před dům,” říká ředitel pro vnější vztahy Škoda Auto, Michal Kadera. Dobíjení elektromobilů bude podle něj fungovat spíše tak, že řidiči budou vědět, kolik mají týdenní či denní nájezdovou vzdálenost, a budou kombinovat dobíjení na firemním parkovišti a třeba při nakupování. Pro centra měst budou účelnější dobíjecí huby, které už po Praze začínají vznikat. Trendem v městské mobilitě bude kombinace různých typů přepravy. Typicky by to stále více mohlo fungovat tak, že se člověk autem dopraví na vlakové nádraží, odtud přijede do většího města a tam si například na elektrické koloběžce dojede do práce. Inspirací v tom mohou dle ředitele Innovation Hub East, EIT Urban Mobility, Traiana Urbana, být města jako Kodaň či Amsterdam. Jak se aktuálně mění mobilita a logistika ve městech Česka i zahraničí? Kde si občané měst budou nabíjet elektromobily? A jakou roli v tom sehrají drony?

Vorbim în acest episod despre realizările lui Traian - despre proiectele de infrastructură, despre construcțiile monumentale pe care le ridică, mare parte cu banii Daciei. Vorbim și despre ambițiile lui, despre relația cu aristocrația romană, și despre faptul că, în cele din urmă, este cel care ajunge să fie numit Optimus Princeps - cel mai bun dintre principi. Nevoia lui de faimă, și un joc politic de maximă teatralitate îl aduc la cârma Armeniei, pe care o transformă în provincie romană - pornește apoi în denazificarea Imperiului Part (sau, alternativ, încearcă să ajungă până la conducătorii parți să le explice că nu, candidatul lor la șefia Armeniei nu a murit de mâna lui, s-a înecat într-un măr mult prea ascuțit).

Cât poți rezista unui agresor care îți cere să fii legat de mâini și de picioare și ți-a luat deja o mare parte din regatul pe care-l stăpânești? Nu foarte multă vreme, motiv pentru care Decebal, după ce încheie o pace cu Traian, caută să-și strângă un cerc de aliați. Din păcate nu reușește. Nici încercarea de a afla mai multe informații de la (posibil) guvernatorul interimar al provinciei care cândva va deveni Dacia nu e de prea mare succes.

În acest episod parcurgem povestea primului război între Traian și Decebal, pornind de la cele două surse primare: istoria lui Dio Cassius, și interpretarea imaginilor de pe columnă. Vorbim despre cele trei posibile trasee inițiale de înaintare, despre prima etapă a războiului, despre încheierea bruscă a textului lui Dio Cassius, și încercarea de a descifra columna - intrăm apoi, în detaliu, în legătură cu campania de iarnă, contraatacul lui Decebal la sud de Dunăre, și înființarea lui Nicopolis ad Istrum, în cinstea zeiței Nike, zeița victoriei.

După o pauză un pic mai lungă decât preconizam, revenim cu un nou episod; și chiar dacă planificasem să vorbim despre război (pe la minutul 30 încă credeam că vom vorbi despre primul război) am decis să vorbim un pic mai în amănunt despre surse (mai exact lipsa lor), dar și despre etapele premergătoare războiului. Motivațiile pe care le expune în fața senatului dar și pregătirile pe care le face Traian sunt la fel de importante.

Acum ori niciodată să dăm dovezi la lume Că-n aste mâni mai curge un sânge de roman, Şi că-n a noastre piepturi păstrăm cu fală-un nume Triumfător în lupte, un nume de Traian! Poate că cel mai bun răspuns pe care l-am putut da în legătură cu dar de ce vorbim atât de mult despre romani este strofa a doua din imnul național; ăsta e locul de unde ne revendicăm.

Limes romanus și Valul lui Traian. Dacia în timpul lui Hadrian și Antoninus Pius. Dacii liberi. Costobocii și Carpii. Dacii în Basarabia.

Pentru un om care vreme de 50 de ani s-a luptat să supraviețuiască simulând incompetența, Claudius se descurcă excelent odată ajuns la cârma imperiului. Deși aparent imperiul era sărăcit de Gaius (Caligula), Claudius găsește suficiente resurse în punga imperiului să plătească pentru noi campanii militare. Cel mai mare cuceritor între Augustus și Traian (sau poate între Cezar și Traian), Claudius împinge imperiul roman mai departe. Dar o face el? E complicat.

Sculptorul Ioan Bolborea e acuzat de înșelăciune pentru că a folosit alamă în loc de bronz în cîteva monumente. Investigația a pornit de la o statuie înfățișîndu-l pe împăratul Traian cu lupoaica, realizată după planurile lui Vasile Gorduz dar turnată în atelierele lui Ioan Bolborea și dezvelită în 2012. Cinci ani mai tîrziu, coada lupoaicei s-a desprins din sudură și, la restaurare, s-a constatat că statuia nu este din bronz. Au fost verificate alte monumente executate de Ioan Bolborea și s-a descoperit că sînt tot din alamă, și nu din bronz, așa cum era specificat în contract.
