Este domingo se celebran elecciones en Aragón. El guion es parecido al de Extremadura: el PP busca una mayoría holgada, después de no haber podido aprobar los presupuestos autonómicos por la complicada aritmética parlamentaria. Las encuestas auguran que el popular Jorge Azcón revalidará la presidencia, pero con un ascenso de Vox que convertirá la victoria en agridulce. Mientras, el PSOE, con la exministra del gobierno central Pilar Alegría como candidata número uno a las Cortes, apunta a un acusado descenso. Aragón desde fuera se pinta como el laboratorio electoral de toda España, más ahora que todo el país entra en periodo preelectoral. Pero la comunidad, aunque no está exenta de las inercias nacionales e internacionales, alberga un mosaico de partidos regionalistas (Chunta, PAR, Teruel Existe...) que no encaja del todo en el esquema Madrid-Barcelona. Muchos de los temas de la conversación política, tampoco. Algunos giran en torno al medio ambiente: las críticas al desembarco de centros de datos de empresas estadounidenses, o el debate sobre los macroproyectos de placas solares. La ultraderecha catalana vive un auge sin precedentes con el ascenso de Aliança Catalana, una formación que combina el independentismo con un discurso marcadamente antiinmigración. Fundado por Silvia Orriols, el partido ha canalizado el malestar ciudadano por temas como la vivienda o la inmigración y, según los últimos sondeos, podría arrebatar votos a Junts hasta el punto de disputarle el tercer lugar en el Parlament. Su crecimiento ha sacudido el tablero político catalán y ha obligado a otros partidos a modificar su discurso, incorporando términos y preocupaciones que hasta ahora eran patrimonio de la extrema derecha. El fenómeno de Aliança Catalana recuerda en algunos aspectos al ascenso de Vox, aunque con diferencias ideológicas notables: mientras Vox enarbola el nacionalismo español, Aliança se declara independentista catalana. No obstante, ambas formaciones comparten la retórica antisistema, el rechazo a la inmigración y la apropiación de símbolos tradicionalmente asociados a la izquierda, como la defensa de la diversidad sexual o los derechos sociales, que utilizan para apuntalar su discurso xenófobo. La estrategia discursiva de Orriols se asemeja a la de figuras como Marine Le Pen o Geert Wilders, camuflando su mensaje de ultraderecha bajo una apariencia más moderna y europeísta. En este episodio dialoga con Ana Fuentes nuestro compañero Ángel Munárriz, periodista de la sección de política de EL PAÍS. Munárriz analiza el impacto político de Aliança Catalana, su retórica, las reacciones de los partidos tradicionales y la forma en que esta nueva extrema derecha logra camuflar su mensaje para atraer a votantes desencantados, incluso entre antiguos electores de izquierdas. Ástæðan er einkum mikil fjölgjun aftaka í örfáum einræðisríkjum - og Bandaríkjunum. Ævar Örn Jósepsson fjallar um málið. Um 50 hópar frumbyggja eiga heima á norðurslóðum. Margvísleg hætta steðjar að búsvæðum þeirra og framtíð, svo sem deilur um land og auðlindir, árásir á menningu þeirra sögu, tungumál tapast og mikill tími fer í málaferli og kröfur um úrbætur. Á síðari árum standa frumbyggjar einnig frammi fyrir því að tapa heimilum sínum vegna áhrifa loftslagsbreytinga. José Antonio Kast llega a la segunda vuelta de las elecciones en Chile como favorito. Su trayectoria —marcada por su defensa de la “familia natural” y su rechazo al aborto incluso en casos de violación— lo ha convertido en un referente del ultraconservadurismo latinoamericano. El aspirante chileno mantiene desde hace años vínculos estrechos con la Red Política de Valores, la plataforma impulsada por Jaime Mayor Oreja que reúne a dirigentes de extrema derecha de distintos continentes. Ese entramado lo conecta también con organizaciones españolas como Hazte Oír y con sectores de la derecha radical católica, además de situarlo ideológicamente en la órbita de líderes como Javier Milei, Jair Bolsonaro o Donald Trump. Filmmaker Jota Mun talks about “Between Goodbyes” with Emmy Winner Charlotte Robinson host of OUTTAKE VOICES™ that POV will debut on PBS at 10P Monday December 8th. The film follows a Korean adoptee reconnecting with her original mother in Seoul as she unravels decades of silence, stigma, confronting long-held regrets while facing cultural misunderstandings with tenderness, humor and resilience. “Between Goodbyes” is an open love letter to all original mothers who have suffered from family separation providing a deeper understanding about how the adoption industry affects families globally. As a Korean adoptee Mun's lived experience brings personal insight and uncommon intimacy to a story that reframes conventional narratives about adoption and kinship. Jota filmed “Between Goodbyes” during the years leading up to the COVID-19 pandemic through 2021. Archival photos and footage trace the family's milestones including a reunion in the Netherlands in 2002, time together in South Korea in 2016 and another visit in 2021. Through candid conversations with siblings and extended family “Between Goodbyes” reveals how secrecy and migration intersect inviting audiences into a story that is as complicated as it is loving. Featured in the film are participants Okgyun Kang, Mieke Murkes and Ruth Chon. “Between Goodbyes” made its world premiere at the 2024 DMZ International Film Festival winning the Emerging Filmmaker Award for Jota. The film also won the Special Jury Award for Feature Documentary at the 2024 Santa Fe International Film Festival and was an Official Selection of 2024 DOC NYC.
