Em and Laura are making the case that TV is the place where opposites attract love stories actually live—because sometimes you need multiple seasons to make us believe the yearning. They're unpacking why these unlikely couples hit so different when you watch them unfold across episodes rather than a two-hour movie, complete with a deep dive into exactly why enemies-to-lovers and sunshine-meets-grump dynamics are the peak of on-screen romance. It's all about the gradual shift, the moment they stop hating each other, the way they complete each other. Kristen Bell and Adam Brody have everyone talking after Nobody Wants This Season 2 dropped this week — but Laura’s convinced there’s another duo involving Kristen that completely blows this one out of the water. From slow burns to instant sparks, today we’re ranking the TV couples with the best on-screen chemistry of all time. You’ll hear about the pairing that weren't even supposed to happen but were written into shows because of their undeniable connection, the co-stars who said the cutest things about each other off screen, and the couple that still makes us cry because they didn’t end up together. And of course, Laura crowns the sexiest on-screen chemistry ever caught on camera — and Em tries (and fails) to explain a show she swears she’s never watched. Trust us, it’s priceless listening. This is the ultimate list of TV shows to rewatch if you want to see fireworks unfold right in front of your eyes.HERE'S WHAT TO LISTEN TO NEXT:A Celebrity Cheating Scandal, Gwyneth Paltrow’s Revenge & And Emily In Paris Just Floored UsEvery Bombshell From The Tell-All Britney Spears Book & A Celeb Meet CuteThe Comment That Turned The World Against Kristen Bell & Why Jennifer Lawrence Shared A ‘Trashy’ StoryTHE END BITS Our new podcast Watch Party is out now, listen on Apple or Spotify. It's Casual Friday on Talking Buffalo Podcast, which means Patrick Moran is joined by Noted Hockey author and Maintenance Day podcaster Joe Yerdon to discuss a variety of topics, including Jack Eichel returning to NHL action, Buffalo Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams deserving some credit, the Sabres being fun to watch of late and a “Starting Five” draft consisting of Best TV Couples. Roughly three months after finally getting his neck surgery Eichel returned to action, making his debut for Vegas on Wednesday night. The guys have plenty of thoughts on that as well as crediting Adams for some trades that are showing good early returns and the team being worth the price of admission of late, or at least the time devoted to watching them on TV. They guys also draft their best TV couples, Patrick's Wordle debut, some Oscar nominated flicks, the four-year anniversary of this podcast and much more! Guest and comic Tara Weidner joins for this episode to discuss The Greatest TV Couples Of All Time.
One of the most fun conversations Rusk and I ever have is when we go deep into our favorite fictional television relationships. Y'all we go in with our tweezers and dissect! In this fun and off-the-cuff episode, we get to go in deep on some of our favorite TV couples. We talk about what makes them a good couple if they have a good life, their money, their family dynamic dealing with kids, work, and hobbies. The conversation is in good fun and giving notes based on our experiences as a long-term couple. We start with Married with Children Al and Peggy Bundy and their dysfunctional functional marriage. The complicated love between Don and Betty Draper, a '50s throwback of MadMen and his Stepford wife. The on-and-off romance between Carrie and Big on Sex and The City, then we get nasty and judgy on Issa and Lawrence of Insecure. Join us as we take a look back at the fictional couples whose love stories we became invested in over the years. Which couple is your favorite? Bonus: We talk about our latest experience with Canadian Covid travel restrictions at the end of the episode. Like the podcast? Follow @vibesbyalicia for updates and great content! Please I'd love it if you'd share this link with 5 of your Friends today! Created by Alicia A. Elatassi, Thinking Boutique by Alicia TBByAlicia.com

As Canadian thanksgiving comes and goes, Zoie Palmer is thankful she's playing Jann Arden's sensible sister Max on JANN. The Calgary-based sitcom is in its third season Monday nights on CTV. The British-born actress and York University grad is also well known for her five seasons as Dr. Lauren Lewis on the boundary-pushing Showcase drama Lost Girl. There her role as a sometime sex partner to the show's leading succubus, played by Anna Silk, landed the two of them on CNN's list of all-time favourite TV Couples. Before COVID curtailed set visits for reporters, I kept running into Palmer on productions across Canada. Between JANN seasons, the Canadian Screen Award winner kept busy on shows such as Wynonna Earp, Taken, Ransom, Private Eyes and Pure. Earlier this year, she was cast alongside Chris Rock, Samuel L. Jackson and Max Minghella in the “Saw” inspired feature film “Spiral.”Get to know Palmer a little better -- including her choice for favourite all-time TV theme song -- on this chatty podcast conversation.

Big day for the SHOWcast: first, #TheShowKC chatted with teachers about this bottle flipping phenomenon. Isn't it so annoying? Listeners tried to guess the best TV couples of all time. Then, it was time for Face Your Fears Friday. Jen was surprised by the Rat Man from The Edge of Hell Haunted House, who confronted Jen with live rats in the studio! It turned out to be a 2-for-1, since a clown accompanied Rat Man and scared the pants off of Shaylee the Millennial! Finally, we capped off a great Friday with Jonathan Bennett (Mean Girls) who is hosting the new season of Food Network's Halloween Wars.
