Wayne Adams is a Brooklyn-based artist who received his B.F.A. from Calvin College and M.F.A. from Washington University in St. Louis. Adams has exhibited throughout the Midwest, New York and Vienna, Austria. Wayne has served as the Board Chair of CIVA for the last several years and I talk with him about what the CIVA community has meant to him. Wayne is a studio artist who explores biblical themes through a contemporary art lens. He shares with us some of his practical disciplines and creative processes and his thoughts on being a Christian in the contemporary art world. Wayne Adams is the Director of Sports Performance at Catawba College, a Division 2 school in Salisbury North Carolina. He was previously at Sacred Heart University for 4 years as an Assistant Strength Coach and Associate Head Strength Coach. He completed his Master's Degree as a GA at Morehead State University. He has volunteered and interned at Wake Forest University, the University of Richmond, and his Alma Mater James Madison University while also working in the private sector at Hartstrong training in Winston-Salem, NC.
