When you join us for the next Treasured Truth, as we begin to look at the theology of stewardship, Pastor Ford will ask how many of us have made God the Lord of the leftovers? Because if we’re honest with ourselves, He usually gets our leftover time, our leftover talents, and our leftover treasures. We often think to ourselves—if we have anything left, then we can give to God. But that’s not good stewardship. So, join us as we begin a new message called, “God’s Pleasure and Your Treasure,” on the next Treasured Truth. Treasured Truth is a listener supported program on Moody Radio. Who or what is first place in your life? In Matthew 6:19-24, Jesus is after our idols. Idols are anything that we place above Jesus in importance. God is calling us to move to a faith that is deeper than our excuses. The post Where is Your Treasure? appeared first on Gospel Mission Church.

Inspired Living Scott Maderer pt 2 I have a question for you as we get started today… Where are you at on your life's journey “right now?” What is your calling? Is it a “God given calling?” Or are you doing something so that, someday, you can do your “God given calling?” Our guest today can help you with those answers. Scott Maderer was a teacher for 16 years, before transitioning to his calling of helping others to discover THEIR calling and to master that calling. Amen! Through the training which Scott and his wife Carrie developed, his clients discovered their true callings and realized their ability to lead fully authentic lives that allow them to live out their calling while serving others and still provide for their families… Scott is the author of “Inspired Living: Assemble the Puzzle of Your Calling by Mastering Your Time, Your Talent and Your Treasure.” This is part two of an amazing interview with Scott Maderer! As you were making this type of transition, what is the worst moment you experienced and was it anticipated or did it just “happen?” Let's transition, in the time we have left, to your book, “Inspired Living: Assemble the Puzzle of Your Calling by Mastering Your Time, Your Talent and Your Treasure.” Why did you write this book and why publish it now? Share with us the four part framework you outline in your book and how that actually helps people to find their calling? What is the number one thing you would like the readers of your book to understand? Scott, this has been so interesting. How can someone order a copy of your book, “Inspired Living?” Is it on Amazon? Before we close, if someone wanted to reach out to you, to ask a question or maybe even do an interview like this, how can they get in touch with you? I'll put links to all of this in the show notes below… Folks, Scott Maderer's book, “Inspired Living: Assemble the Puzzle of Your Calling by Mastering Your Time, Your Talent and Your Treasure,” could be the main reason the Lord had you listen in to our program today. I don't know – but I do He pre-ordains a lot of things to happen that we call “coincidence!” Amen! But you were here for a reason. I do know that… I want to encourage you drop down into the show notes, right now – while you are thinking about it – drop down in the show notes and reach out to Scott Maderer right now. Amen! Be sure to order his great book, “Inspired Living: Assemble the Puzzle of Your Calling by Mastering Your Time, Your Talent and Your Treasure,” while you are right there. In fact, order two or three copies and sow them into someone else's life. Bless them and – guess what – you magnify YOUR Blessing! Amen! By ordering this book, you will learn the process you can take, regardless of your background or your finances or your education level, and progress down the path that will lead you to lasting transformation by helping you put together the...

Redemption Church – RedemptionPlano.com Welcome to Redemption Church of Plano Tx. My name is Chris Fluitt and I want to thank you for choosing to worship the Lord today while there is playoff football happening.I will be mindful of your time. Can You Keep a Secret? We are in the 3rd week of this series – Can You Keep a Secret. In Matthew chapter 6, right in the middle of the sermon on the mount, Jesus talks to us about secrets. 3 times in Matthew 6 Jesus speaks directly about things done in secret. Jesus has taught us about giving in secret and praying in secret. Today I want you to turn to Matthew 6:16-18 WHERE Jesus instructs us to fast in secret. Matthew 6:16-18 (NIV) 16 “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18 so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. What is a Fast? Fast? -to abstain from nourishment (food/drink)-Used 21 times in OT (ṣûm)-Used 21 times in NT (nēsteuō) Fasting means to do without the things that nourish your body. Fasting is a SPIRITUAL EXERCISE that intersects with a NATURAL CONDITION. It is all too easy for our spirituality to only exist in an ethereal and intangible state. For many, their Christian faith may not exist beyond words that came out of their mouth and the sound waves dissipated into nothing. Our Christian life must be both SPIRITUAL & PHYSICAL. Why?Because our Christ is both SPIRITUAL & PHYSICAL. Your worship must be both SPIRITUAL & PHYSICAL. That is why it is not ok for you to just sit in a worship service, you must take part in the PHYSICAL and when you do I promise you that you will experience the SPIRITUAL. What we offer to God in the PHYSICAL is very much SPIRITUAL. Jesus teaches this same concept when he talks about your TREASURE and HEART occupying the same place. He says this later in Matthew 6:21. Matthew 6:21 (NIV) For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Your TREASURE is something physical. Gold, dollar bills, bitcoin… Your HEART is something spiritual. One chapter earlier in the sermon on the mount Jesus says… Matthew 5:6 (NIV) Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Once again we see the PHYSICAL (hunger & thirst) intersecting with something SPIRITUAL (Righteousness). Jesus does not discount the SPIRITUAL or the PHYSICAL. Jesus instead teaches the power of bringing your NATURAL into contact with His SUPERNATURAL. Have you been discounting the Physical or the Spiritual? Jesus, before we dismiss today, we want to do something PHYSICAL & SPIRITUAL for you. Lord let our physical intersect with your Holy Spirit. In Fasting we have a PHYSICAL CONDITION – hunger & thirst. This PHYSICAL intersects with the SPIRITUAL when we fast unto the Lord. Fasting is abstaining from being fed through our natural appetite. *Matthew 6:16 (NIV) 16 “When you fast…” Who knows my sermon point? Not IF, but WHEN Jesus teaches in Matthew 6, WHEN not IF. When you give…When you pray…When you fast… Jesus expects his followers to fast. Those that believe in Jesus and hold onto the teachings of Jesus, should fast. In Scripture we many examples of fasting…Kings…Priests…Individuals…Prophets…Nations… We see Jesus fast.We see His disciples fast. We see people fast individually and we see people fast corporately. Matthew 6:16 (NIV) “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. DO NOT FAST FOR SHOW. Being scene is operating in the physical… we want something more than the physical! We want the invisible supernatural power of a relationship with God.

We glorify God by making disciples of all nations. ========== Connection Card https://istrouma.org/myinfo September 25, 2022 | Tim Keith "Generosity" 2 Corinthians 9:6-13 2 Corinthians 9:6-13 The point is this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. Each person should do as he has decided in his heart — not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work. As it is written: He distributed freely; he gave to the poor; his righteousness endures forever. Now the one who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will also provide and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the proof provided by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedient confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone. It's Okay, Give It Away (v.6) 2 Corinthians 9:6 The point is this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. When It Comes to Your Treasure, Give It with Pleasure (v.7) 2 Corinthians 9:7 Each person should do as he has decided in his heart — not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver. Let Go of Greed, and God Will Provide All You Need (v.8) 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work. Where is Your Treasure? Questions Jesus Wants Answered - Pt 1Springcreek Church | Senior Pastor Keith StewartSunday, March 20, 2022In the sermon on the mount, Jesus gets real about money and possessions. In particular, He wants to know in what and in whom are we placing our security. According to Jesus, there really are only two ways to live – as if it all depends on us or as if it all depends on God. What we strive for in the pursuit of money can be ours without the anxiety, worry or stress. He promises we'll have all we truly need if we learn how to trust Him.DISCUSSION QUESTIONS1. Discuss or write about why money is such a sensitive subject. How have you personally been wounded around money issues? In light of all of that, why do you think Jesus spends so much time talking about money? What did you find particularly challenging about today's message?2. Since treasures are not about having or not having money, but instead about our attitude toward possessions, what are some things people treasure that have nothing to do with money? Kent Hughes said, “If anything in this world is everything to you, it is an earthly treasure.” What have been the treasures that at some point were all important to you?3. Our heart and our treasures are bound together. Instinctively we seem to know this because we all know what it's like to love something dearly and as a result, pour a great deal of time, energy and money into it. In other words, our treasure followed our heart. Name something like that in your life. Now consider what Jesus said. The opposite is also true, your treasure leads your heart. What becomes all important, whatever you invest in heavily, your heart invariably follows. Describe something like that in your life.4. Jesus spent time talking about the difference between good and bad investments when it comes to treasures. He reminded us that on Earth, the things we store up are subject to decay or theft. In Heaven, what we store up is not subjected to those same forces. What are some of the lessons you have learned in regard to the limitations of Earthly treasures?5. To Be a Jesus Follower, You Must First Enter the Only Door to God's Kingdom and that Door is Jesus – the Door to Eternal Life MESSAGE SUMMARY: In John 14:6, Jesus says: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one come to the Father but through me.”. In Luke 13:23-25, Jesus is asked a pivotal question; and Jesus responded: “And someone said to him, ‘Lord, will those who are saved be few?' And he said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, open to us,' then he will answer you, ‘I do not know where you come from.'”. It is not that Jesus does not want all to be saved, it is just that the “gate”, to our Salvation and Eternal Life, is “narrow” and difficult to enter. We enter Eternal Life through Jesus and Jesus alone, and so many miss this fundamental tenant of our Christian faith; and they miss knowing Jesus – Jesus is the door, the narrow door. Neither Islam, nor Hinduism, nor just “my personal religion” is the door – Jesus is the only door. TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, grant me wisdom and prudence to see the larger picture, to wait, and to discern the seasons in my life with you. Forgive me for fighting the “deaths” you send into my life in order to plant something new. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 107). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM FORGIVEN. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9). Where's Your Treasure? Pastor Alex Sands, Kingdom Life Church Series: The King and His Kingdom (Gospel of Matthew) / Matthew 6:19–24 April 25, 2021 Matthew 6:19–24 ESV 19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, 23 but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! 24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. To “lay up for yourselves treasures” literally means “ up treasures for yourselves.” Think , not . Choice #1 - Where will you put your treasures: earth or heaven? 1. Treasures on earth are vulnerable to and . 2. You can your earthly treasures for heavenly ones. Luke 12:33 ESV 33 Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybaggs that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. 3. Wherever your treasure is, your heart was . Colossians 3:1–2 ESV 1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 1 Timothy 6:17–19 ESV 17 As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. 18 They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, 19 thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life. Choice #2- How will you see: with healthy or bad eyes? 1. Seeing with a healthy eye produces a of the kingdom of God. 2 Corinthians 1:12 ESV 12 For our boast is this, the testimony of our conscience, that we behaved in the world with simplicity and godly sincerity, not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God, and supremely so toward you. 2 Corinthians 9:11 ESV 11 You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. Deuteronomy 15:9 KJV 1900 9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the Lord against thee, and it be sin unto thee. 2. Your Treasure is on the other side of your Trouble
It all comes down to this- WHERE IS YOUR TREASURE- HERE- In this life- In this world- Or is YOUR TREASURE in HEAVEN- Where no thief can steal it from you, and where it cannot be lost- For it is kept in the presence of God, who remembers every single heavenly deposit- --Where is your heart- What do you love- This world and this life- Or do you love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength- Remember, where your treasure is, there will your heart be also- -Think about that, WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE WILL YOUR HEART BE ALSO- BTW, what IS HEAVENLY TREASURE- How do you lay it up-

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth ... but lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven ... for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21) Where's Your Treasure? Where's your treasure? What do you give value to? Your family? Your church? Your job? Your hobbies? All of these are great and valuable things. But these treasures cannot be your highest prize. St. Lawrence, a third-century deacon of the Church of Rome, is a great example of one who had their treasure in the right place. The prefect of Rome was persecuting the Church and had condemned Pope Sixtus to death. The prefect demanded that Lawrence turn over the great treasures that the Church had hidden away from the Empire. Lawrence came back three days later with all the poor and sick people of the congregation. "This is the Church's treasure!" He was immediately condemned to be roasted alive on an iron grill. The Church's treasure is not gold or silver. It cannot be counted in dollars and cents. It's much greater than that. It's the souls which are cared for within it. The souls of those for whom Jesus has died. These are the treasure of the Church. The Christian's treasure? Being able to live with God forever in eternity. Amen.
The Good Life: Where is Your Treasure?
Your Treasure. Your Heart. Your Words.PART TWO: The Power and the Peril of the Tongue (Download Barclay commentary on James 3) Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way. James 3:2 (NLT) Words have significance in three domains:In the Kingdom of God (realm of the spirit)In your life: spirit, soul (mind, will, emotions), bodyIn your circumstances For salvationRomans 10:8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. To confirm our beliefs and release our faith in God 2 Corinthians 4:13, And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, James teaches about the power of the tongue James 3:1 My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. 2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect [brought to its end, finished, wanting nothing necessary to completeness] man, able also to bridle [to lead by a bridle, to guide, hold in check, restrain] the whole body. (Barclay) James is not pleading for a cowardly silence but for a wise use of speech. Small things control big thingsJames 3:3 Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. 4 Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great [great not in “good” but as is exaggerated or overblown] things. Taming the tongue, and the heartJames 3:5, See how great a forest a little fire kindles! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles [stain or soil] the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. 7 For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. 8 But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. God gave mankind dominion over a creatures in the earth but he cannot tame the tongue. I watched a dolphin show at the zoo last year. It was incredible that these animals had been trained to do the amazing things they did. We even train our dogs, but the tongue is not tamed. Only the heart can tame the tongue, and the heart must be trained by God. "Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth" (Gen.1:28) Living in contradiction, hypocrisy, and duplicity - deceitfulness in speech or conduct, as by speaking or acting in two different ways to different people concerning the same matter; double-dealing. James 3:9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. 11 Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? 12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh. Peter was caught in hypocrisy, and duplicity Galatians 2:11 Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed; 12 for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. 13 And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy. James 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.

Bodhicitta is Your Essence (Part 1 of Your Treasure is the Bodhisattva Heart)Bodhicitta, the Great Compassion, the Great Awakening, is often misunderstood by western students. To have an emotional experience of compassion is not "it". In fact, the true experience of Bodhicitta cannot be described. Yet, it is inseparable from the ground of being, from the Path, and from Buddhahood. Jetsunma guides us through the disciplines required to uncover our innate treasure: the one heart of Bodhicitta.Teaching originally given September 15th, 1996.Support the show (https://connect.clickandpledge.com/w/Form/441f9f97-db53-4e64-b9b8-39a83906d2d3)

Archives Listen to the Prayer Audio: PRAYER FOCUS: PROCLAIM: I AM OF THE ROYAL BLOOD OF THE SON OF GOD! I AM A CHILD OF THE KING! I AM HIS TREASURE! Heavenly Father, Because of the Blood of Your Son, Yeshuah/Jesus we can proudly proclaim we are Your Family and we are under Your Protective Wing. We proudly proclaim before all the earth: We are children of the King! We are Your Treasure! You see in us the Image of Your Son! Because of His Blood we are washed clean of all sin, iniquity and rebellion! We can rightfully walk in the Courts of Heaven and from our place with Your Son seek that the Holy Angels are released to be with us in our battle to save America and any of us who are gathered in the Spirit to make other nations a part of Your Kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven! Father, through the authority of Your Son we say to the mountain before us the mountain of debt in our nation be washed into the sea. That the oppression of the those who control the monetary system that oppresses us and suppresses us be broken and that we see Your Monetary system of heaven take over here in America and any nation that seeks freedom from those who are trying to make us under a one world system. Lord as You have promised that the wealth of the wicked will be placed in the hands of Your faithful stewards let it begin now and may those who have used greed, deceit and wicked plots to oppress us face the Justice You have ordained for us to live under let this unfold now in our day, so that we will give You all the Glory for the miracles You are bringing to pass! Lord, bless and protect those prophets You have anointed for our day! May they be blessed even closer to Your Heart to reveal to us Your Plans! Father, we intercede for our President Trump and all those who have been raised up to help and assist him that they be protected from any of the enemy’s forces and their plots and schemes to bring him down. May this mockery of impeachment and scandalous accusations that arise be exposed and be brought to ashes in the mouths of those who speak these words. Lord let Your Mighty Power sweep these foolish ones aside and raise up replacements of righteous men and women anointed for such a time as this! Father continue to raise up men and women who are brave and courageous enough to expose the corruption that is rampant here in our government and even in the wolves in sheep clothing that rule and reign over your churches and their ministries. Lord, let the Holy Spirit bring convicting power over us so that there will be a true separation of those who are truly Your disciples and those who are fake and have no depth in their commitment to You. May Your Words be true! Depart from me you evil doers! I never knew You! Lord bless the true Shepherds You are bringing forth now through the movement of home gatherings and assemblies of Your people through the new ministries You are raising up in our day that truly have Jesus as the Head and not ruled by government interference or any man made entities that make the shepherd a CEO instead of one who knows Your Heart and draws closer to it. Father expose the puppet masters that rule over our media especially that which proclaims to report the news and those who are what we call entertainers. Lord that our culture will again be based on Freedom in Jesus Christ and live according to Your Teachings in the Scriptures. That we will show our children a life lived according to the Love and Sacrifice we are under through Your Son, Yeshua/Jesus. That we will instill in the children that they are indeed Your treasure to us. That they will be raise up to know You as Father who knows them as valuable and worthy to be Your Family here on earth where You will dwell with us as You have planned from the beginning! Father we seek a protective covering and healing on all those who have been abused and been deceived to believe false hood about t...
