In today's world, having an entrepreneurial mindset is becoming more and more important. Being an entrepreneur means constantly improving, learning, and adapting to new situations. It's about having a growth mindset and persevering through adversity. However, for many people, having this mindset doesn't come naturally. One of the biggest challenges in developing an entrepreneurial mindset is overcoming a need for perfection. This can lead to analysis paralysis, fear of failure, and ultimately, no progress. The key is to practice and embrace imperfection. Entrepreneurial success often comes from taking imperfect action and learning along the way. Personal development is another important aspect of developing an entrepreneurial mindset. Surrounding oneself with positive influences, reading books, and learning from business coaches can help shape one's beliefs and habits. Making the journey towards an entrepreneurial mindset easy and taking the easy choices is often the hardest part, but with perseverance and patience, it is possible. By embracing imperfection, continually practicing, and investing in personal development, anyone can develop an entrepreneurial mindset and achieve success in their personal and professional lives. I didn't think that I was smart for the longest time. The reason for that is high school. In our society, it's very traditional that science and math = smart and linguistic, creativity and arts = cute... and that's just not true. No, it's a mindset thing! When I work with clients, I go into business and immediately see what's worth spending your time on, what things can wait, and what things you should cut out completely because they simply don't work for you. I do not discriminate in terms of “you need to have a certain academic degree” but I thrive on working with business owners who get me and who get how I work. Don't be afraid to articulate that - who do you want to work with? Listen to this new episode and find out more about why when I talk about smart, I do absolutely not refer to academics. Why small businesses should hire a business consultant

Hiring a business consultant is not just for big businesses! A business consultant for a small business can be very beneficial and today I want to explain to you why. The word ‘consultant' was always so intimidating to me. Once I learned what a consultant is I only thought of the big 5 international cooperations and I connected it with white dudes in a suit. Even though I am a consultant today and hence a little bit more ridged than a coach would be, I'm still an entrepreneur with creativity and creative solutions. What is really important to understand is that you don't have to be a huge business in order to hire a consultant. I actually think that small businesses that want to stay lean but efficient should absolutely hire a consultant. I work with many small businesses that are one-person shops who are very successful in what they do but weren't considering hiring a consultant because they thought it is a corporate thing. Let me remind you you are the CEO of your company and having a consultant who helps you with strategy and creative solutions is exactly what your business needs. Don't miss this episode! When it comes to scaling your business, Wayne explains that there is a difference between scaling and growth. When growth is occurring, it requires constant effort to get the growth you want; scaling, on the other hand, happens on the downhill, meaning it happens as a consequence of the systems, the processes, the procedures, the people that you have in place. So, the difference is - will the business continue thriving and growing when you are removed from that piece? When you have your business organized in such a way that growth continues, because of all those other elements, besides your constant effort and push, that's scaling. Most of us start our own business with the same idea: if I'm going to start this thing, I want to do multiple six-figures/ seven-figures at some point. However, when I first started my business, scaling was really scary to me. I realized that the reason why I was holding back was that I was terrified of having a team, having people to rely on me for payroll. Now, I understand that there are loads of different models, and the key is to scale in a way that works for you because scaling is not a “one size fits all” strategy. I have the pleasure of talking to Stephanie Blake on today's episode of Christine Means Business. Stephanie is a business strategist and scaling expert, who helps women scale their service-based businesses to six-plus figures while keeping them in the CEO seat and working less than 20 hours a week. We discuss three important parts of business: Customize your scaling plans and growth strategies to your life You need to take yourself out of the equation and put yourself in the CEO seat Stay true to yourself and don't follow somebody else's business process Make sure to catch this episode!

When I first started my business, I had no idea of the spiritual world. I started with all the marketing and tech stuff, but I kept hearing the word “mindset” over and over again. At that time, I didn't take it seriously because how is that going to help my bottom line? That had nothing to do with hot core economics. But as I started doing all these different things and making all these adjustments, nothing seemed to work. So, I decided to tap into the spiritual, and as I did that, I started to see things turn into place. In today's episode of Christine Means Business, I have the pleasure to talk to holistic physical therapist, human MRI, speaker, medical and business intuitive success coach Vivian S. De Guzman. Vivian uses her knowledge and her intuition, which has proven to be extremely sharp, to help others with money magnetism. So today, she shares with us the four stages of our spiritual journey (Awakening, Discovery, Surrender, and Flow) and what we need to know about our prosperity key in order to focus on our business journey and build that successful business we've been dreaming about. How authors actually sell books in the modern digital age with Morgan Gist McDonald

Wayyyy back in my 9-to-5 days, I worked in the academic publishing industry. Well, technically, I was an unpaid intern. But somehow, it was still my job to filter through the slush pile. Now if you don't have any experience in the publishing world, let me tell you what that means. Basically, the slush pile is a set of manuscripts that are sent by hopeful authors to fancy publishing houses. Authors send in their manuscripts and cross their fingers that the old white guy running the company will select their book. But the reality is that it's college students and interns sorting through the slush pile and deciding which books are worth considering and which ones go straight to the bin. So, um, sorry if I accidentally trashed the work of the next great novelist during my internship! It's no wonder that becoming a published author seems so out of reach for us “ordinary” folks. When I was working on my first book, I certainly thought that it would be a crazy endeavor where I'd have to find an agent, submit proposals, and then pray that the publisher would choose my book. Luckily, there are alternatives to the traditional publishing model now. So your journey from “ordinary” entrepreneur to published author (oo la la!) might be a lot easier than you think. Today on the podcast, I'm joined by Morgan Gist MacDonald, the founder of Paper Raven Books. With more than 10 years of experience in writing, editing, and publishing books, Morgan leads the Paper Raven Books team in developing the best practices for publishing successfully in the modern, digital age. I can say that with confidence because I've worked with Morgan multiple times to get books published (including my new book that's coming out next year!). If you've ever dreamed of being an author of any kind, you'll want to learn from Morgan's genius. In this episode, we talk about… - The different options that authors have for publishing in the modern, digital era (including options that don't involve the dreaded slush pile!) - The benefits of self-publishing (and how you can use your book to get clients, become a fiction writer, or spread the message about a major movement) - The 4 phases of the author's journey (and why having a smart launch strategy is just as important as having a well-written book!) Morgan is a total pro at all things writing and publishing books, so don't miss this episode. To check out more business tips check out: https://www.christinemeansbusiness.com

I brought Ciara on the podcast to talk specifically about surviving the bumpy ride of the entrepreneurial roller coaster — especially when it comes to navigating failure and success. Ciara shared her personal story of leaving the nonstop hustle of retail behind to create a brand new business model. There are lots of lessons to learn just from her story, but we also talked about… Why it can be hard to pivot when your status quo isn't “that bad” (and why sometimes you have to be brave and do it anyway!) How her online coaching practice came to be (even though all she'd ever known was brick and mortar “offline” business) Tips for managing the crazy highs of success and the dark lows of failure (so that you can actually learn from your experiences and create a business you'll thrive in) Ciara's best advice for navigating burnout, surviving business growing pains, and making sense of your numbers (without having to become a full-on accounting nerd
