"I think therapy is treating medical necessity. It's textbook DSM. You're treating them for a diagnosis where coaching is working with those more situational, non clinical, less severe problems." Carly Hill, a former social worker and therapist who has transitioned into a successful coaching business joins me today. Carly shares her story of discovering the power of coaching and how she has been able to impact more lives by leveraging her clinical expertise. Carly has a unique background, having started out as a social worker and then moving into therapy, specializing in areas like play therapy and neurofeedback. Along the way, she became interested in alternative modalities like Reiki and NLP, and realized she was already doing a lot of coaching work with her clients. This led her to dive deeper into the world of coaching and create her own successful coaching business. During the interview, Carly breaks down the key differences between therapy and coaching, explaining that therapy is focused on treating medical necessity and diagnosable issues, while coaching addresses more situational, non-clinical problems. She also shares the common barriers that therapists face when trying to transition into coaching, such as concerns about protecting their license, and provides practical advice on how to navigate this ethically and legally. "Anybody who's listening right now, I'm taking my hand and I'm placing it over your head and I'm deeming you as a coach right now, like, go try it on, go try on the identity as a coach and see how it feels." Carly's business model for therapist-turned-coaches is particularly intriguing. She recommends a hybrid approach that includes a recorded course, group coaching calls, and added support through channels like a private Facebook group. This allows therapists to leverage their time and expertise to impact more clients, while still maintaining the personal touch that clients crave. If you're a therapist who is considering adding coaching to your practice or are simply curious about the intersection of these two fields, this episode is for you. Carly's insights and practical advice could be the catalyst you need to take the next step in your career and help even more people transform their lives. Free Download: The Ultimate Social Selling Guide: https://thepowercollective.lpages.co/the-ultimate-social-selling-guide/ Entrepreneurs should invest more time into their content strategy because a strong content strategy is critical to the success of any business. A well-thought-out content strategy allows you to communicate your message effectively, build a relationship with your target audience, and achieve your marketing and business goals. Investing time into your content strategy helps to ensure that your content is aligned with your overall business objectives, resonates with your target audience, and drives results. Additionally, a solid content strategy helps you to prioritize your efforts, avoid scattered content creation, and streamline your marketing activities, leading to a more efficient and effective use of your resources. By investing more time into your content strategy, you can build a strong brand and drive sustainable business growth. Entrepreneurs should use market research to create their content strategy for a number of reasons. Firstly, market research provides valuable insights into your target audience, including their needs, pain points, preferences, and behaviors. This information can be used to tailor your content to meet their specific needs, which can help to increase engagement and build a stronger connection with your audience. Secondly, market research can also help to identify gaps in the market, allowing you to create unique and in-demand content that sets you apart from your competitors. This can help to attract more customers and grow your business. In addition to these benefits, market research can also inform your overall content strategy by providing a clear understanding of your industry and the competition. By knowing what types of content are performing well and what your competitors are doing, you can make more informed decisions about the type of content you create and how you promote it. Furthermore, market research can also help you to understand the current trends in your industry, allowing you to stay ahead of the curve and create timely and relevant content. Ultimately, by using market research to inform your content strategy, you can make data-driven decisions that drive business growth and success. Connect With Me Online!
