For the final episode of the season, I am honored to chat with Lina Acosta Sandaal, MA, LMFT, a respected development expert, author, and founder of Stop Parenting Alone. She has just transitioned to interim Head of School at KLA. We discuss everything from “how to choose the right school for your kid” to what we think about gentle parenting and other trends out there. We get into some of the most important life skills we strive for our kids to develop, and how to preserve our relationships in the process. Let's dive in!
Strength to Strength welcomed Beth Byler to discuss God's design for women to be nurturing those around them.Do women naturally nurture? What is God's call to us as women as we raise children, minister to our husbands, or reach outside our homes? How can we nurture each other as sisters? Can we nurture if we aren't being nurtured? We want to raise children that are emotionally secure and well prepared to face life. We have a huge part to play in making that happen. How can we be used of God as women to nurture life and what is our calling in that?An interactive question-and-answer period follows.https://strengthtostrength.org/gods-design-for-nurturing-cultivating-life-in-those-around-you/
We're not just a church. We're a Family. Our Vision is clear, simple, and unique. Our vision is Jesus in you. Our vision is for the people of God to have a faith that holds them. The kind of faith that vanquishes doubt, verifies identity, and voraciously contends for inner peace. A faith that removes the past, clarifies the present, and breathes life into the future. Our vision is the Kingdom of God built within the people of this obscure, yet mighty generation. A kingdom so great that its purpose destroys the common lack of self worth. A kingdom that sharpens the eyes, tenses the muscles, and readies itself for the battle against darkness. A Kingdom that brings purpose and healing to those who have failed more than succeeded, who are sinners more than saints, and who have known more pain than pleasure. Our vision is to challenge the weak and unproductive church of our day. To step beyond those who are religiously immature and search out those who for their love for Christ cannot be offended. Our hope is to raise warriors instead of those who think God only exists to keep bad things from happening. To raise those who know that following Christ means suffering loss yet gaining all things. Our vision is clear, simple, and unique…. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/proclaimingjesus/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/proclaimingjesus/support

This episode is a special update on the 2023 vintage at my "estate” winegarden - Crenshaw Cru - in Los Angeles, where we lost essentially the entire crop to powdery mildew this year despite regular organic treatments and canopy management. But more than that, this episode is a call for an honest assessment of the vine species upon which we base our global wine industry: vitis vinifera. The truth is that it is inferior in almost every way possible, and can no longer even claim superiority of flavors, to other grapes that have been hybridized in recent years. It has become a drag on our resources, our creativity, and our joy, and it's time to explode the narrow box - the coffin - that we've put wine in for far too long. It's time to eradicate prejudice and bring wine back to life with a diversity of wine cultures. Support this episode by subscribing via patreon. Sponsors: Centralas Wine

Sister! Do you ever find it difficult to make new friends? (Or perhaps eliminate those that are not light bearers?) We've all heard the expression: "Be aware of who is in your circle but not your corner." But how do you discern which friend is in which zone!!?! Thankfully, we have amazing heroes in the Bible to model how to cultivate meaningful, quality relationships. In the final session of the 4-part Advent series of the Shine with Frannie show, I share what we can glean from the special connection between Mary & Elizabeth and how we as ambassadors for Christ, can seek and find these quality relationships in our own lives with these 3 criteria. Friendships can be one of the most life-giving things we experience, yet we all go through seasons, or moments of being unsure of where we fit, or how we fit. This episode goes into some of the deeper aspects of the hearts chambers in the desiring, and cultivating those true, deep, soul connected, ride-or-die relationships. You are worthy of true friendships! But you are your own best friend :) Sometimes we skip this part and look outside of us, but when we truly LOVE who we are and how we are wired and created - those who are for us, and us them, will appear.Don't buy into the lies of rejection. You will never be too much or too little for those you are destined to be connected with. You are a child of God.

I can do all things through Him [Christ] who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 "Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty … I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life. Are there circumstances, difficulties or burdens that drain your heart and soul? In this podcast, Sally and Kristen want to encourage you and give you tools to overcome what you are facing today by giving FIVE practical ways to cultivate a heart of patience and peace in your own life and in the hearts of your children. They talk candidly about their own struggles, verses that have helped to bolster their hearts and have meant so much to their own families, and what it has meant to them to learn how to trust God's story for their lives. Then, Kristen is joined by Mom Heart national team member, Gretchen Roberts who shares her heart for ministry and has an exciting announcement about a new membership site called Cultivating Life With Sally that is opening in September!
