Think Twice About Living In South Lyon Michigan - For those of you that aren't too familiar with South Lyon, this 3.74 square mile city with around 12,000 people is smacked into the middle of Brighton, Milford, Novi, Salem and Whitmore Lake. Not to be confused with Lyon township which is about 32 square miles, with a population of over 21,000 people, South Lyon is located at the west side of the township, and two unincorporated communities: New Hudson and Kensington, which was once a former village, turned metro park make up the majority of the area. South Lyon is known for its charming downtown, schools, quality of life, along with the several annual events and pristine parks that I will chat more about going forward.    If you're in the southeast Michigan area, it's fair to say that South Lyon doesn't get as much hype as it deserves, the city is so often looked over with Brighton and Milford being in such close proximity. I think it has a lot to do with the expressway as you drive past all the city exits, you're driving along east on I-96 and you pass the Kensington Road exit, then you pass the Kent lake South Lyon exit, and most people think Kent Lake is in Brighton or Green oak township but the majority of it is in Oakland County in Milford and Lyon township, then you hit the New Hudson exit that everyone calls Milford anyone, because it leads to Milford road and takes you right to Milford. That Kent Lake rd. exit is a popular one to follow along to get to the metro park, but if you just take that road and turn onto Pontiac Trail you'll be able to fully immerse yourself in what the city of South Lyon has to offer. 199: The Michigan Housing Market Is WHAT?! | What About Balance? If you have been something that has been glued to the headlines these past couple of years, it was no secret that sellers had the upper hand and then some, the question today is, is that shift coming… or not? To understand what defines a market as a sellers market or a buyers market, it all comes down to that economy class you took in highschool that you slept through where there was a graph with a few arrows, and as a refresher, we call it supply and demand. When supply is low and demand is high, the sellers are winning, when the supply is higher and the demand is lower, buyers are winning, then there's the areas in between that make a slight pull in either direction. One question that branches off this is, what drives demand? CONTACT ME

Did Somebody Say Bingham Farms Michigan? It's no secret when people are looking for a place to live, they want something peaceful, convenient, and attractive, and we all know that can be hard to find. Well, I'm about to talk about a community that is just that. Stay tuned. Bingham Farms Michigan, sounds like a fall time attraction for cider and donuts, but the reality is, it's a village located right here in Southfield Township which is a part of Oakland county. Bingham Farms was incorporated on October 4, 1955, and named after a prominent family present in the village since 1880, and what's interesting is they kept all the streets unpaved until 1984 to discourage any intensive development. If that doesn't tell you they prioritize a close-knit community, I don't know what does. The Bingham farm was primarily an orchard way back when, where they had 1,000+ trees and harvested around 8,000 pounds of apples every season, it's safe to say that was a good source of income for the Bingham family. Fast forward to today, and this little 1.21 square mile chunk of land is now home to around 1,200 people, which equates to roughly 500 housing units. Bingham Farms is primarily piled with residential and mixed use housing, while having a business center along Bloody telegraph, or Telegraph road as we know it today since there were so many accidents there in the early days.
