Here's an interesting trivia question... What did Albert Einstein, Lady Gaga, Leonardo DiVinci, and Frida Khalo have in common?  They all benefited from a daily journaling practice. The truth is, Stephanie and I could fill this episode with a long list of recognizable people who have lived across centuries. These people have implemented journaling into their daily routines. We often recommend this powerful tool to our clients. The scientific research to support journaling is extensive and compelling. It is a key strategy for personal development for a variety of reasons.  However, we hear from our clients that journaling is intimidating to them. They don't know where to begin, and staring at a blank page is so uncomfortable. Occasionally, we find that clients have let their journaling habit become stale.   In this special episode, Stephanie explores the art and science of journaling and shares tips and strategies to help you get started and keep on writing. The Daily Dosing of Self-Coaching Segment begins at 13:55.Listen, take notes, and enjoy!Full Show Notes Click HERE

"Mom, it's just too big for one person. How can anyone make any changes that matter? Why try to persuade anyone to do anything when it just won't matter?"-Eva, 11, after writing her essay on climate changeStephanie couldn't have been prouder of her little girl when she said this! And you know what? Stephanie and I could relate. Having spoken with our clients and others in the vegan community, we have seen how heavy the world can be at times. But we also know that we are much more able to make a difference than we think we do. Small, consistent steps have a lasting impact, even if we don't realize it at the time. We often overlook our actions as not enough to make a difference. We often fall into a destructive pattern of all-or-nothing thinking that paralyzes us from further action by discounting our efforts. Does that sound familiar? In this special episode, Stephanie digs deep into why you should own your impact, as well as practical tips on how to do it.Listen, take notes, and enjoy! The Daily Dosing of Self-Coaching Segment begins at 7:11.Full Show Notes Click HERE

Let's talk about JOY! Following talk about my (Ella's) recent experience (intense!) surviving an ice bath, Stephanie dives into spectacular training on cultivating intentional joy...We often look at ways to make our days happier by simply inverting what makes us unhappy. We spend time trying to minimize the impact of unhappiness.Essentially, we ask ourselves, how can I prevent myself from becoming unhappy? That seems a little shortsighted when you consider how that negatively impacts us daily.  Yes, we can build resilience and coping mechanisms to deal with that impact, but that's not quite the same as being intentional about cultivating moments of joy, is it?In this episode of The Vegan Life Coach Podcast, Stephanie and I posed powerful prompt questions to inspire you to cultivate intentional moments of joy in your life.Listen and enjoy!Full Show Notes Click HERE

Are you, or someone you love, an “All or Nothing” kind of person? Most of our coaching clients describe themselves as “all or nothing” people, which is often revealed when we discuss their diet. The “cycle of self-sabotage” as we call it, involves taking “clean eating” to an extreme, restricting calories or cutting carbohydrates to a degree that is unsustainable until your willpower runs out and you overindulge, which turns into guilt and shame, which motivates you to restrict, and the cycle continues. No more! We are helping you get a grip and discover how to create a way of eating and living that is SUSTAINABLE and gets you LONG-TERM results… We're talking about a healthy and empowered vegan LIFESTYLE here!Don't get us wrong… going “all in” on being vegan is something different all together. Being vegan is about living in a way that does not support the suffering, death, and exploitation of any and all living beings. Being vegan is about doing our part to make a positive impact on the world and protect our precious Planet. Being vegan is not about restricting food choices… It's about celebrating the countless plant options, and making conscious and mindful CHOICES that serve us and other people and animals best!We discuss it all, and offer actionable strategies to help you take your power back in this fun and informative episode.Full Show Notes Click HERE
