In this episode, your favorite hosts dive into the 1997 Disney direct-to-video sequel, "Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas" and "Belle's Magical World.” One of the true highlights of the Christmas movie is the return of the original voice cast, plus Tim Curry joins as the story's antagonist (of course). Also, the group gets into a hilarious and slightly chaotic discussion about the Beast being a "morally gray" character and the specific "fandoms" that might find him particularly appealing.Produced by: Limitless Broadcasting Network. For more info, merch, and all the other podcasts, visit: www.limitlessbroadcastingnetwork.comCheck out Ashley's Disney deep dives at: pixiedustfiles.wordpress.comFollow your new Disney besties on Instagram @pixiedusttwinspodcastFollow Dan, honorary third host of the "Pixie Dust Twins" Podcast, and King of the Manifestos: @Dantaastic on Instagram and YouTube

Dive into a Magical World of Storytelling: Podcasts, Greek Myths, and Family Connections In this exciting episode of Reading with Your Kids, host Jed Doherty explores two incredible storytelling experiences that bring families closer together through audio and books. First up, Julie Burstein and Dr. Michael Cohen introduce "Live from Mount Olympus," a captivating podcast series bringing Greek myths to life for kids aged 8-12. The podcast transforms ancient stories into immersive audio adventures, featuring professional actors and rich sound design. Their latest season follows the hero Theseus and his journey to Crete, tackling complex themes like bravery, love, and sacrifice in a way that resonates with young listeners. Dr. Michael Cohen, a developmental psychologist, emphasizes the educational value of listening to stories together. Research shows that asking children open-ended questions about what they've heard can dramatically increase learning and create meaningful family conversations. The podcast's 12-20 minute episodes are perfect for car rides, providing a shared experience that sparks dialogue. In the second segment, author and illustrator Yi Jing Chang shares her touching picture book "My Father's Books." Inspired by her friend's experience of losing her father, the book explores grief, memory, and the powerful bond created through reading. Chang beautifully illustrates how books can connect generations, with memories of shared reading becoming "diamonds" that shine throughout our lives. Both segments highlight the transformative power of storytelling. Whether through a mythological podcast or a heartfelt picture book, stories offer children a safe space to explore complex emotions, imagine themselves in challenging situations, and connect deeply with their families. The episode is a must-listen for parents seeking innovative ways to engage with their children through reading and shared audio experiences. Hop on our flying carpet — today, we're all Disney princesses (crowns optional). This week, Trevin is officially ordained and struggling to write a wedding speech that's somehow harder than crafting petty crime stories. Meanwhile, Amanda's mind is blown at Disney on Ice, where four-legged characters are skating their hearts out in front of her family. In trivia, Amanda dishes on a Disney princess with surprisingly few lines, while Trevin introduces us to Glynn “Scotty” Wolfe — the Guinness World Record holder for most marriages ever (yes, seriously). For storytime, Amanda pulls off a full Disney bingo with the arrest of Caleb Albers in Oklahoma City, just around a Disney on Ice tour stop, while Trevin dives deep into the drama of Angela and David Voelkert — a messy custody battle fueled by 2011 Facebook antics. Both stories feature perpetrators whose problems go far beyond their viral petty crimes. Get ready for an episode packed with childlike whimsy, unexpected gasps, and just the right amount of heartbreak. In this compelling episode, we bring together a panel of deep thinkers, scholars, and podcasters to tackle one of the most debated theological topics in modern Christianity: cessationism versus continuationism. Joining the conversation are your host, Adam Parker, Matthew McGuire, author of A Magical World; David Miller, author of Redacted: The Secret History of Exorcism; and Michael Young, host of The Charismatic Cheetah Podcast. Together, we take a thoughtful and thorough approach to refuting cessationism, making the case that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still active and available today.Throughout our discussion, we explore: • Biblical Foundations: Examining key scriptures often used in cessationist arguments and demonstrating why they do not support the cessation of spiritual gifts. • Historical Continuity: Tracing evidence of spiritual gifts throughout church history, from the early church fathers to present-day testimonies. • The Power of Experience: Personal accounts and compelling stories of how the Holy Spirit continues to work in miraculous ways today. • Addressing Common Objections: Responding to concerns about prophecy, tongues, and healing in the modern church, specifically Charismatic abuses. This episode is not just about theological debate. It is about rekindling a passion for the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. Whether you are a continuationist looking for biblical support, a skeptic open to hearing the other side, or a cessationist willing to engage with an alternative perspective, this conversation will challenge and inspire you.Tune in for a rich and thought-provoking dialogue on why the gifts of the Holy Spirit have not ceased and why they matter now more than ever.Read Matthew McGuire's Book, "A Magical World," by purchasing it here: https://mattmcguire.net/home.htmlRead David Miller's Book, "Redacted, The Secret History Of Exorcism," by purchasing it here: https://www.expeditionaryrevival.org/shopFollow Michael Young's Charismatic Cheetah Podcast here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPMqiudbezxvLffmzUA1y_PJ5UCxL3iUA&si=fRcNofJoDT7SjoyrRead the Poythress Article on Spiritual Gifts Here: https://frame-poythress.org/modern-spiritual-gifts-as-analogous-to-apostolic-gifts-affirming-extraordinary-works-of-the-spirit-within-cessationist-theology/Read Rick M. Jackie Cano shared the heartwarming story behind her book "Sabella Can Sew." Inspired by her own daughter, Jackie wanted to teach kids that they can overcome obstacles and try new things, even if they're challenging at first. She spoke about her own journey of learning to sew and how it sparked a love of the craft in her daughters. Jackie also discussed the unique sacrifices military families make, emphasizing the importance of community support. Next, Jed chatted with Emily Jenkins about her middle grade novel "All the Best Dogs." Set in a Brooklyn dog park, the book follows a group of diverse 6th graders and their canine companions. Emily explained how the book tackles serious issues like family troubles and anxiety, while also providing plenty of laughs and heartwarming moments. She offered great advice for aspiring writers, encouraging them to focus on developing their skills rather than relying on natural "talent." Finally, Jed spoke with 13-year-old author Abigail Samson about her debut book "The Magical World of Candy Topia." Abigail shared how the fantastical story, about a girl named Kate who goes on a journey to save a candy-filled planet, was inspired by her siblings. Jed was impressed by Abigail's maturity and resilience, as she discussed the mix of excitement and anxiety she feels about the positive feedback her book has received.
