Well now the Romulans have gone and done it! In their convoluted attempt to destabilize the region they've just gone and helped lay the groundwork for the eventual United Federation of Planets! Maybe there was a better use for their super psychic powered self-repairing ships than this? Also Trip and T'Pol's relationship takes a decidedly teen drama turn in the 11th hour because why not? Join us for "United" and "The Aenar"! Also this week: ancient traditions*, iced coffee in space, and Neelix! Come enjoy Andoria in summer as we review "The Aenar"! Jeff Combs gives us one last taste of Shran greatness as he and Archer go on a zany funhouse adventure, the Romulan Primogen tries to set a record for L's, and Trip has a case of the sad boi.

Paul Wesley & Bruce Horak talk "Lost in Translation" - Star Trek Strange New Worlds S2E6 Review On this "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" Debriefing, we discuss Episode 206, "Lost in Translation." Uhura has a life-changing journey with Kirk that leads her back to a familiar face in the surprise return of Hemmer. Meanwhile, Una and Pelia contend with some tech problems that open old wounds between the pair. After my review of the episode, I chat with Paul Wesley - the new James T. Kirk - to discuss this episode, as well as episode 203, "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow," who this version of Kirk is, his thoughts on the negative response from some fans to his portrayal of this iconic character (and why they should appreciate his version), and memories of his first time sitting in the Captain's chair. Following that, Bruce Horak returns to Trek Untold to respond to the sort of resurrection and second death of everyone's favorite Aenar, when he knew he would be coming back, what it was like returning to the ship, becoming zombified, and what he would like to do next in Star Trek! T'Pol's mother goes missing, and it is suspected she has joined a rebel faction of Vulcan society, one that says it embraces the true teaching of Surak, and that Vulcan society, led by the High Council, has lost it's way. The High Council is eager to track down this "cult," despite interference from Archer and T'Pol, who encounter a Vulcan with the actual spirit of Surak inside of him which is evenutally transferred to Archer, to help get the rest of Vulcan society to see the light. Ryan and Brady watch a pretty good episode of Enterprise, bolstered by the first appearance (on our show, not on Enterprise itself) of Jeffrey Combs's Thy'lek Shran. We talk about how much we like Combs, cool antenna creature effects, and we say the phrase "Hot Worms" a lot. It makes sense in the episode, we promise.
Archer visits Shran's icy homeworld to find an Andorian subspecies called the Aenar, to determine their connection to the marauders destroying ships in the region. In this episode of the podcast, Wes and Clay discuss "The Aenar" and confused endings. Plus! The Higher Frontier. Mysterious armored warriors have reduced the Aenar population to nearly zero. Captain James T. Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise must investigate this brutal and seemingly unprovoked attack with the help of Miranda Jones and the Medusan ambassador, Kollos. However, the situation escalates when the targets of the mysterious attackers expands to include other telepaths, including members of the Enterprise crew. Can the mystery surrounding these dangerous warriors be solved before more lives are lost? In this episode of Literary Treks, hosts Bruce Gibson and Dan Gunther discuss the new TOS novel The Higher Frontier by Christopher L. Bennett. Season Four Retrospective Part 5. An overarching theme for season four of Star Trek: Enterprise was the planting of the seeds of the Federation. The 22nd century showed us a quadrant of space in turmoil, with alien races at each others throats, and humanity portrayed as the pillar of reason and diplomacy in the foundation of both Starfleet and the Federation. We also see Archer grow into the future leader he was destined to be. In this episode of Warp Five, hosts Patrick Devlin and Brandon-Shea Mutala continue their season four retrospective, looking at the episodes "Babel One," "United," and "The Aenar." That's the only explanation we can come up with for his apparently portraying two different nondescript background engineers on Enterprise. Maybe the big reveal's coming in the finale? In any event, we get back into our bland-ass blue jumpsuits to take on a chunk of the fourth season, and our timing is all goofy: we watch the second and third parts of a trilogy ("United" and "The Aenar") and the first half of a two-parter ("Affliction"). We talk about how Romulans remain Star Trek's lovable losers, James Avery's career as a voice actor, and the virtues of writing two whole episodes to answer a question no one asked. Elsewhere, we discuss Elementary's latest, as the writers overshoot a little bit on the whole use-one-crime-to-mask-another business. Come for the mystery, stay for J. explaining how the internet works!
This time on Trek Trek, Justin and Randy bring you their reviews of Star Trek: Enterprise season four, episodes 13 and 14, “United” and “The Aenar”. Spoilers: Archer cuts off Shran’s antenna; the Aenar pilot destroys the Romulan drones.

Romulans on Enterprise. First introduced in the Original Series episode "Balance of Terror," the Romulans became a lengendary villain within Star Trek lore. The conflict between humans and Romulans is also lengendary despite never having been played out on screen. When Enterprise decided to bring Romulans into the show in the second-season episode "Minefield," they faced a huge challenge in keeping with canon. TOS established that humans had never seen Romulans prior to the late 23rd century. How do you tell a compelling story and stay true to that? Even more difficult, how do you establish a Romulan plot directly involving our characters in Season Four without them ever coming face-to-face? In this episode of Warp Five we're joined by Tommy Kraft, writer and executive producer of the Enterprise-era film Star Trek: Horizon, to discuss Romulans in Star Trek and Romulans on Enterprise, from their first appearance in "Minefield" to the mysterious coda of "Kir'Shara." And, of course, we discuss the deeper plot involving Romulans in "Babel One," "United," and "The Aenar."
Andorians. Something alien, something blue. If that's a must-have for you, then you've come to the right place as we discuss various aspects of Star Trek's antennae-donning Federation founders. In this episode of Trek News & Views Colin is joined by Miles McLoughlin and Michael Clark to look at the unique Andorian coupling system—which involves eight antennae (or four people if you prefer to count that way). We also discuss how Shran helped mould our current view of Andorians, whilst also touching on the Aenar and Enterprise. On a tangent we ask if one of the faces of God in Star Trek V is William Shatner and if there is a court case concerning Romulan Ale and Andorian Ale.
The Enterprise episode, "The Aenar" is covered. Some Trek and Sci-Fi news about movies and TV. Also, a big, new job announcement and a quick collectible review. All this week on TSF!
