The Disney+ Marvel series have been hit or miss. When they are good (WandaVision) they use their extended runtime to experiment with concepts and formats, expanding and developing characters in ways impossible within the limits of a film. When they are bad (Falcon and the Winter Soldier) they flail about wasting time while underutilizing established characters. Secret Invasion the most recent MCU series, manages to kill two characters, completely discredit another, and dismiss any notion that its protagonist, Nick Fury, is in any way effectual, or even interesting. Meanwhile in the distant future Star Trek Strange New Worlds continues to push the boundaries of space, time, format and genre proving that, 50 plus years down the line, there are still places to boldly go. In reabsorbing Infinome—the Inscripta spinout Fox described to Harry in a spring 2021 episode of the show—Inscripta is placing a big bet on biomanufacturing, the creation and fermentation of genetically customized microbes that can pump out medical, agricultural, and nutraceutical products, and more. Inscripta had previously focused on a benchtop "bio-foundry" machine called Onyx that that makes programmed edits to bacterial or yeast cells at thousands of different points in their genome in parallel. Now it's pivoting away from selling the machine and instead focusing on becoming a power user of its own technology. We are Going Boldly into season 7 and talking all about boundaries and embracing our power this week. Setting boundaries with ourselves can change the way in which we look at the world, but even more importantly it can change how we feel about ourselves. Once we learn to listen to our inner voice, hear and tend to our needs without judgment or shame we begin to build healthy stable boundaries around our lives. Those boundaries set the stage for how we can embrace our power in a meaningful and lasting manner.The purpose behind building those boundaries is to create that lasting relationship with the honest version of yourself, and in order to do that you have to take the time to get to know that person. Healthy boundaries around who you are, who you want to be, what values and morals you hold, what you are willing to do all serve to build that foundation. Over time as you continue to grow and develop that person and those boundaries in an intentional manner, you can expand them out to include other people. Those boundaries with other people then set the stage for how you are willing to, and expect to, be treated by others and by the Universe at large. Putting those expectations out into the universe is a part of setting forth on your path in life. The clearer you can be around what you are willing and unwilling to accept the better off you will be. Weak and unhealthy boundaries will often cause you to give away or diminish your own power, rather than embrace it as we are meant to. And so I want to drop this video as a word of encouragement to you, as we come up on the New Year, some people you know, are going to be glad to see 2020 behind us, some people are going to they're going to just the problems aren't going to stop for them, you know, as we this end of the year is an expensive time, people are gonna have to pay their taxes, you know, people are gonna have to, you're the benefits are going to expire, you know, I mean, you might be facing some very difficult times, and it's not easy. It's a very difficult time to live in. It's very difficult time to try to make it a lot of things that we used to think about money and security are not real, we've learned they're not real, right?
