Tonight we return to the studio after a week off and boy was there some stuff to catch up on! We'll start with the Transogen loop and why it's different than flashpoint and why flashpoint should LARGELY be ignored in it's current state. We'll move onto the Ascendence events, current materials spending and a host of other widely controversial topics in the world of STFC this week.
We caught up with John Hays, from Queen Mary's University, and John Andrew from Advanced Power Technology.More about both intervieweesJonathan Hays is a Professor of Physics at Queen Mary University of London, where he is the head of the Particle Physics Research Centre. His research interests rest mainly with high energy particle physics, having been involved with research at the Large Hadron Collider for many years on the CMS and ATLAS experiments and at the Fermilab Tevatron before that. His main focus now is on low background experiments measuring neutrinos and searching for dark matter.Alongside this, he has had a strong involvement in large-scale computing for over two decades as a user, developer, provider and now as Science Director of STFCs IRIS Federation - that coordinates and provides access to large-scale compute and data services across the science remit of STFC.He is also Project lead for the National Federated Compute Services NetworkPlus Project that aims to provide a community driven roadmap for the future of a truly national joined up computing and data service serving users across the broad UKRI portfolio. Sustainable computing is a key part of this and he has been involved in multiple projects investigating how to achieve this through measuring, monitoring, and mitigating the impact of our scientific endeavours on the environment.About Queen Mary University of London Queen Mary University of London, a research-intensive Russell Group university based in East London, is one of the top universities in the world. Yes i'm still alive, and wanted to do a short show. but i apparently missed hanging out with ya'll and did one of the longest shows of the year. Silly Cat. A long debate on the materials SMS and what possible scenarios there are to fix them in the future, PLUS a break down of the new officers this month and what their use cases are and if they're worth it to you! FYI, the first 50 minutes of this show was just catching up with the community and telling a story. STFC starts at 50 minutes lol my bad. Visit us online at www.UltimatDJzPlayz.com for more
We're 5 days into a new arc, but it feels like an entire month when you start to sit and think about everything that has either not gone right, or has upset players in what would appear to be intentionally inflammatory decision making by the makers of STFC. Let's take a look at everything that's happened in the first 5 days, from isogen bundles, to TC resets, to PVP fixes in what may be the sloppiest kerfuffle of a launch in recent memory. Visit us online at www.UltimatDJzPlayz.com for more
Today was chock full of subtle hints as we prepare and educate on VERY SPECIFIC, DEEP mechanical processes about hull breach, artifact procs, armada stars, battle log orders, and suggested mechanical strategies regarding HOW to manipulate your battle log processes to achieve outcomes. This is ABOUT as nerdy as it gets folks. THEN we talk about isolytic cascade. An in depth analysis will show that this new form of buff is much different than previous styles of buff, in that it will continue to grow, scale, and improve over time, instead of turning old, and becoming out of date. Listen to this deep dive on Cascade, and what DJz refers to as, "the future of STFC." Visit us online at www.UltimatDJzPlayz.com for more

The Voyager arc has arrived and with it a pretty expansive new feature. Some players are liking it, and others are finding it to be a headache not worth the hassle. Alex Whiteley is at the Shrewsbury Town FC Supporters Awards Night at Montgomery Waters Meadow. It was an intimate event with only around 200 supporters and the whole Shrewsbury Town present who were up for awards nominated by the supporter groups attached to the club. The goal today is to investigate the connection between the supporters and the club, especially as a huge effort has been made by Steve Cotterill's side to build a strong, symbiotic relationship between one another.Alex speaks to event organisers Roger and Mike, Shrewsbury Town manager Steve Cotterill and club captain Luke Leahy about their thoughts on the club/supporter connection. We also hear from a group of supporters about their love for the club over the last 50 years or more and Salop For All representative Helen Hall. What a magical evening, speaking to some pretty remarkable people. Thanks to everyone who spoke to me. Whether we had the mic with us or not it would have been a brilliant night. Getting to put this together was a huge bonus. Thanks Roger, Mike and the media team from Shrewsbury Town FC too. -AL

Today Talking Trek is in for a special treat today when Shawna Benson stops by the show to talk about the first season that just wrapped up on Nickelodeon and Paramount+. We examine the show from top to bottom, and the first episode through the last regarding the story, character development and the ideas and themes that are present all throughout the season. This interview was so fun and natural that we went over on time (shocking). But this is a great interview to listen to as we look forward to more fresh content inside STFC for 2023.
