The paranormal entertainment world is dominated by men — with a few remarkable exceptions like Amy Bruni, Cindy Kaza, and Jessica Chobot. But it's still a boy's club, and a white boy's club with hardly any women of color. To get into these issues and discuss their own spooky stories, host Aaron Sagers has gathered upcoming leaders of the paranormal: Beckia-Ann Galentine, Melisa Viva Farris of Hidden Marietta, Amanda Noel, Amanda Paulson, and Lauren Hellekson. _______________________________________________________________ Talking Strange Paranormal Show with Aaron Sagers is a weekly paranormal pop culture podcast featuring celebrity and author interviews, as well as learned experts in all things strange and unexplained. Hi friends, Amy here. There won't be an actual audio release this week and here's why… we met up in person and celebrated our birthdays together, made some drinks, opened some presents, and just chatted about life. But as a result, some might find the sound quality of the finished product pretty hard to listen to. There are lots of extra sounds because, when we meet in person we tend to get a little more animated than when we're on our computers at our own homes. So we emphasized by banging hands on the table and even the mics occasionally. You can also hear the shaking of martinis. On top of that, since we had to sit so close together in order to all be on camera, our voices are picked up in each other's mics. I did my best to fix that in post, but I'm not totally happy with it. So I'm not going to release an audio version of this one. It's definitely a visual episode anyway. So mix yourself up a Ghost Bride Martini (from Amy Bruni's new book, Food to Die For) and head over to YouTube or Spotify and watch the video version. YouTube: https://bit.ly/TAC_videos Spotify: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theactivitycontinues In that we chatted about Paint by Numbers sets, drunk online shopping and the smell of books. Megan argues with AP regarding the length of her work commute (AP's not Megan's), Amy gives a review of a newly re-opened local restaurant, and AP tells us about her solo vacation to the Pacific Northwest. We also talk a little about religion, casseroles, and our possible past lives, which is a spoiler for our episode with Jenny the Psychic that will be out in a few weeks. And remember, if you like Moscato, drink Moscato! We'll see you next week for our live show! Stay spooky! Join Patrick in a truly interesting conversation with author and psychic medium June Lundgren, who refers to herself as a demon seer whose specialty is getting rid of demons. Along with detailed descriptions of what she sees and how she works, June also covers archangels and tells stories of working with Zak Bagans and the Ghost Adventures crew! She is the author of the forthcoming book, Dark Encounters. Visit BigSeance.com/251 for more info. Other Listening Options Direct Download Link In this episode: Intro :00 June Lundgren is a psychic, medium, demon seer, healer, animal communicator, international author, and nurse. She is descended from a long line of women with psychic and spiritual gifts. Raised by her grandmother, she communicated with spirits, animals, and angels. She is called a demon seer because she can see, hear, communicate, and has the ability to remove and destroy negative entities. She has been helping people with their paranormal problems and animal issues most of her life. Her first book, A Mediums Guide to the Paranormal, was released in 2009. Since then, she has written several more books, including the forthcoming Dark Encounters. She is the founder of Ghosts and Girls Paranormal. June has appeared on Travel Channel's Ghost Adventures, Coast-to-Coast AM, Midnight in the Desert, and The Unexplained with Howard Hughes, to name a few. She served in the military where she trained as a nurse and EMT. After returning from the military she has continued to work in the medical field as a nurse. You can learn more about June by visiting demonseer.com. :49 What is a demon seer? 3:35 Patrick admits his skepticism. “Most people don't go out of their way to read about or discuss or even think about negative entities until either they meet someone who has an issue, or they have one themselves. Then it's a whole different situation. I run into that quite a lot.” 5:07 After an accident, June had a near death experience where Michael the Archangel explained to her that her soul belongs to Auriel the Archangel, the demon slayer. 7:03 Detailed descriptions of demons, archangels, and the battles between them. 11:12 “Look for the eyes.” 13:49 On the topic of ghosts, June says she laughs when she watches the show the Ghost Whisperer, because that character conveniently sees one ghost at a time. “I basically draw a crowd.” 17:55 June also does her work through photographs. 19:22 Weekly meetings with the Legion of Light. 20:25 More on Auriel the Archangel, plus one of the only other archangels living in physical form now. 21:32 June has never run into a situation or a problem that was too big for her to handle. 24:57 June's experiences with Zak Bagans and the crew of Ghost Adventures. 26:05 Patrick retells the story of investigating with Amy Bruni and Adam Berry and having the footage from 3 different video tapes mysteriously erase themselves. 29:27 More on June's experiences with the Ghost Adventures crew and a conversation she had with Zak regarding an investigation and his provoking a particular entity. “This demon has a message for you and you'd better listen, because this is an old demon, and they don't do messages. You're lucky. Usually they just strike and you're screwed. So you'd better listen to what he has to say.” 30:32 A Ghost Adventures producer to June: “Don't take the demon out until after we've done our investigation.” 33:05 In 2018, June says she cleaned out Zak Bagans' famous museum of demons. 33:48 Being a demon seer and a nurse at the same time. 35:34 June's perspective of what life is like on the Other Side. 36:35 Hell 38:45 Final thoughts from June and more on her forthcoming book, Dark Encounters. 40:31 Ghosts and Girls Paranormal, June's paranormal team. 43:38 Outro 45:15 A special THANK YOU to Patreon supporters at the Super Paranerd and Parlor Guest level! 46:35 For more on June Lundgren DemonSeer.com JuneLundgrenAuthor.com GhostsAndGirlsParanormal.com June on Facebook Instagram: @junelundgren June's book on Amazon The Big Seance Podcast can be found right here, on Apple Podcasts, Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn Radio, Amazon Music, Audible, iHeart Radio, and YouTube. Adam Berry, paranormal investigator and co-host of the Travel Channel's Kindred Spirits, released his debut book, Goodbye Hello: Processing Grief and Understanding Death Through the Paranormal this last holiday. Sound a bit morbid for a gift? Not so. The book, thoroughly entertaining, is a positive and hopeful look at the afterlife through stories from Adam's encounters, supernatural research, and psychology. Add Adam's touch of queer sensibility and style of storytelling, and you have a touching book that serves as a comfort to those struggling to come to terms with grief and the end of life, themes that can play a heavy hand for those going through loss. Adam began experiencing the paranormal when he was a kid in his childhood home. But it wasn't until a visit to Gettysburg, in a scene like a movie, that his relationship with the paranormal world would become his life's journey. After appearing and winning the reality show Ghost Hunters Academy, he and his partner in crime, Amy Bruni, would build their own legacy in the paranormal world with their TV show Kindred Spirits. In this episode, we chat with Adam about the paranormal experience that started it all, understanding grief through the paranormal, life after death, coming out, being part of the LGBTQ community, his theatre work, we tackle the subject of God's existence, and so much more! It's a wild ride!Hosted by Alexander Rodriguez. You can purchase Adams' book Goodbye Hello wherever you get your books, and check out our in-depth chat with him in the current issue of Metrosource on newsstands or at Metrosource.com

Recorded Live at Strange Escapes, Waverly Hills Event Pennhurst Asylum may have opened with the best of intentions, but it didn't end up that way. In its 79 years of operation, the asylum was characterized by the harshest of patient mistreatment. Its more than 10,000 residents were subjected to what the Philadelphia Inquirer described as “medical experimentation, cruel punishments, and constant threats to physical and psychological well-being.” Residents were trapped, forced into labor against their will, unable to leave, out of control of the most basic elements of their own lives. And that was the adults. Children under five years old were kept in cages, lying in their own filth for days on end. As one newspaper put it in 1972, Pennhurst Asylum was “the shame of Pennsylvania.” Many inmates stayed there as long as 35 years. And some never left. Early in the morning of December 20, 1964, flames blazed against the darkened sky, erupting from a fire in a home in Palmyra, New York. The house burned so intensely that the city's fire chief told a contemporary newspaper, “When we got there, the flames were shooting into the middle of the street.” When all was said and done, six children and their mother died in the blaze. Today, the Palmyra Museum stands in that very spot, and may be one of the most haunted locations in the country. Florida's most haunted home has seen more than its fair share of tragedies. Inside the walls of the May-Stringer House have been sickness and suffering, untimely deaths of spouses, the enslavement of more than 50 people, and the tragic loss of children who died so young they barely even knew their parents. Some say the spirit of a little girl wanders the house to this day, looking for the mother who died bringing her into the world.
