This Father's Day, we're re-airing the beautiful eulogy which was the inspiration for Thanks For Being Here and was the very first episode we aired. Storm Éowyn has changed the face of some treasured public gardens. This week David visits the National Trust's Mount Stewart which was one of the worst affected. Rob Wilson tells David that with thousands of trees down, the garden on the Ards Peninsula has completely lost some of its shelter belts. Despite the destruction, Gardeners' Corner finds hope in the simple snowdrop at Ballyrobert Cottage Garden. Maurice Parkinson has over 250 varieties including favourites such as Galanthus ‘The Pearl', ‘Primrose Warburg' and ‘Fly Fishing' which all perform well in the garden's heavy clay. As Ireland kick off their Six Nations campaign, former rugby international Andy Ward tells David how he transitioned from flanker to gardener. In studio, David is joined by Brendan Little to answer questions and provide some seasonal inspiration. Email the programme at gardenerscorner@bbc.co.uk

A first in the series of some of the parables Jesus told. Andy Ward brings us today's sermon, a call to kindness, obedience and service
Last month we said goodbye to Pressure Radio after almost 13 years (Feb). This month we make our debut on Vocal Booth Radio, a new radio station set up and run by Andy Ward. We've moved from Thursdays fortnightly to Tuesdays weekly. The time remains the same. You'll be wanting the new URL....... www.vocalboothradio.comThe chatroom is similar but with new updated emojis which kicked off a few Emoji wars in the chatroom. I didn't know what to expect for my first show, would anyone be there!I needn't have worried as there were great numbers inside the chatroom and on the outside. We also had amazing support from Sydney. For large parts of the show we had more people from Sydney than not from Sydney! I even got to know new people in Sydney, not something you expect on a Spanish radio station!Huge thank you to everyone that tuned in especially those in the chat. There was such great energy during the show in the chatroom. I'm looking forward to holding court in the chatroom every Tuesday.Tracklisting:1: Ananda Project, Gaelle Adisson - Cascades of Colour (Wamdue Black Mix)2: Muted Soul - Cause I'm A Woman (c2e Jill & Candi Got The Love Mix)3: Michael Gray, Titania Owens - Ivy (Jimpster Extended Mix)4: Mr OffBeat - Hidden Currents5: Toronto Hustle, Sean Roman - Could his Be (An Abacus Re Edit)6: Ruze - Mister DJ7: N-W-N - Blues8: Mike Millrain - Good Luv 4 U9: Matonii - Stop Me This Time (N-W-N Remix)10: Risk Assessment, Jemeni G - Remember Me (Yuksek Extended Mix)11: Unlimited Touch - I Hear Music In The Streets (Michael Gray)12: Louie Vega, Todd Terry - Has Anybody Ever Loved Someone13: Geoffrey C, DJ Spen - Beats Like This14: c2eMusic - London Nights15: Doche - Pick Up The Pieces16: Soul Of Hex, Steve Lucas - Love Is In Control17: Tony Garcia - Over Pyramids (Romy Black Extended Mix)18: One Done - Chum19: Mousse T - All I Want Is The Bass20: Hardsoul - Deep Inside (Cassimm Extended Mix)21: Dafunkeetomato - Can You Dig It22: Delano Smith - I Fly23: Mother, Father, Brother, Sister Franklin - Respect Is The Message (DJ Spen Mash Factor Mix)24: Axel Boman - Acid Left & RightEnjoy!

2024 saw the end of an era as the home of my Radio show Pressure Radio closed its doors after decades. Andy Ward picked up the torch and created Vocal Booth Radio the station with over 90 DJ’s on rotation. Launching on Jan 1st 2025 my first show was on launch day. I must say […]
This is my last ever radio show on Pressure Radio after almost 13 years! It all began with me wanting to be challenged to mix live, no pre-programming which is what I had been doing with my podcast series. The radio is challenging because there is so much more to stay on top of. You have to maintain a presence in the chatroom, but be careful not to get sucked into conversations or the music suddenly stops!!I reckon there are about 175+ mixes from the show so it has definitely left it's mark.As this door closes so the next one opens and I have to give a massive props to Andy Ward for stepping up to start a new radio station which will provide shelter for all the newly homeless Pressure DJs.I will be making a few changes for the new show. Firstly it's moving to Tuesday at the same time (9-11pm Sydney). Secondly it's going back to weekly just as it was for the first seven years of Pressure. It makes it easier to remember when I'm playing compared to the old fortnightly show.My first show will be on Jan 7th.Huge thank you to Paul & Carol at Pressure for giving me a chance and providing a reliable platform for me to play on over all those years.Biggest thank you is to all the listeners over the years. Especially the Thursday chatroom crew, a mix of Brits and Aussies bound by their love of great quality house music. I look forward to entertaining you for years to come on my new home Vocal Booth Radio.Tracklisting:1: Karizma - Spirit2: DJ Disciple - A Prayer Answering God (Blackk Holy Print Remix)3: 3 Winans Brothers, Karen Clark Sheard - I Choose You (Louie Vega Dance Ritual Mix)4: Michael Gray. Amazing sermon today on Jesus our Prince of peace, by Andy Ward.
Andy Ward is a ferocious beast with the energy and fervour of a Scottish Red Squirrel. His speed and race results may be the first thing that catch attention, but it is his boundless positivity and joy that everyone remembers. Andy is the first to offer encouragement. He loves nothing more than discussing gear choices and ride strategy, and he is right there to celebrate everyone's victories with equal stoke. Mr Ward single handedly blew the doors off of the Lost Elephant by turning what was once a 2 plus day race into a 35 hour race, many people will never forgive him for this, but we will all respect him for it. The aspect of Andy that may have surprised me the most is his attention to detail and preparedness. He seems to always be tinkering and finding ways to make his setup more efficient. I really admire his grit and determination, his fitness speaks for itself, but most of all I am thankful for his friendship. This bikepacking world is a funny one filled with even funnier individuals and at the outer edges are the extra unique ones. Andy is leading the parade of that fringe group within the fringe. He is one of our fiercest competitors, our most courageous adventurers and our most eager cheerleaders. Thank you Andy for being you. There is no one that could do it better.Hugs and kisses.Nathan Siemens.Huge thanks to Rollingdale Cycle for sponsoring the My Back 40 PodcastSave 25% at Dynamic Cyclist when you use the promo code MB40 at checkout.Save 15% at Redshift Sports when you use the code MB40Save 50% off your first month of coaching at Cycling 101 when you use the code MB40 at checkout. Thanks to Spandex Panda for their support. Thanks to Lakeside Bikes in Invermere for keeping me rolling!

Welcome back to the warm embrace (and warm beer) of the Bishop and Bear. The chat this week is very much focused on the IPL as this year's marathon begins. Who are the runners and riders? Where is the smart money going? Who are the stars and who is missing for each team? What makes the new smart replays smarter than the average replays? Why do Sunrisers Hyderabad get battered everywhere? Is their website still a UX disaster? (Don't bother looking - it is I can assure you). Who is Jake Fraser McGurk and what happened to the monkey that bit him? To answer these and so many other questions, we have our own ‘Oracle of the Odds' and IPL aficionado Andy Ward. Andy is going to be steering our weekly IPL coverage and he seems to be limbering up in fine form, albeit with a Guinness Zero. We even make time to debate the morals of Australia's Afghan withdrawal and ponder why no one is mad about the Roy. Here is our very loose running order: · IPL 2024 - What's new for 2024? o Bouncers o Smart replays - Guerilla Tips – where is our money for this year? · Australia pull out of Afghanistan Mens T20 – A fair stance or looking for an excuse? · Why is no one mad about the Roy? · A decent start for England's Women vs NZ despite missing some WPL starts · Our IPL Coverage – what to expect Thanks, as ever for your company. Do let us know what you think and join us for our weekly show. Cheers! Your Ursine Landlord and Episcopal Barman Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
So just how much do you allow a performance to gloss over a result? That's the main debate on Episode 145 of the On The Ball Norwich City Podcast, which focuses on the Canaries' eye-catching 2-1 win at Hull, which was achieved with a slightly less eye-catching display. Elsewhere NCFCNumbers, aka Steve Sanders, Zoe Morgan and ITV Anglia's Andy Ward kick off the year in OTB pods with a discussion on whether it'll be time to go for Jonny Rowe, Gunn's form, Rosenior being happy, the Aaron Connolly vendetta, and Andy relives a tense Q&A with Delia and Michael at the AGM. Two hours of timeless music from the vinyl archives. Soulful nuggets through to dance floor devastators. The post Andy Ward Beach Stage Recording – Suncebeat 2023. appeared first on DJ Andy Ward.
The August mix in recent years (excluding Covid) has become the Suncebeat mix as it's the first mix after the festival. This year marked the last time Suncebeat will be held in Croatia, or the Tisno Gardens at least. It was the fourteenth event which is incredible and shows the quality of the week long soulful house spectacular. It was the quietest in terms of numbers that I've been to and this was my fifth one. What that meant though was the DJ/Punter ratio was awesome. Seemed everywhere you looked legends of the scene were connecting with everyone and were really accessible. The highlights for me included meeting Martin Atjazz and Osunlade (both whom had a huge influence on the c2eMusic sound over the years), grabbing a picture with Osunlade, Spen and Rich Medina, catching up with The Journeymen, Joe Cox and Andy Ward and connecting with Danny T. I was also encouraged to see the youngsters representing, having met the Coughlan Brothers, Ryan and Jay, as well as Noah Herel (yes Ronnie's son) on the Deep Into Soul boat party.I was lucky enough to then catch Noah put down a killer set for Mi-Soul later that night alongside his very proud dad. The pair smashed it with Noah only having a few months of DJing under his belt! Kenny Dope smashed it at the Olive Grove for Terry Hunter's Chosen Few night. It's funny I was always a Louie fan growing up, but more recently Kenny has blown me away everytime I've heard him. I think it says more about my own personal musical journey moving from the more soulful to a deeper more twisted sound. Not to be outdone, Spen put on his own night of magic at the Olive Grove with Dawn Tallman and Aaron K providing a performance to remember together at the end of the night. It was one of those "I was there" moments that you knew was special as it unfolded in front of you.Biggest surprise were Analog Soul out of NY, playing on the Beach Stage on Friday night. I'd never come across them before but there set was amazing. The flow was great, but their tune selection was second to none, at least for my taste and preference anyway. They certainly found a new fan right here.Back to the mix and I have to say it doesn't sound like a regular c2eMusic mix. It's very laid back and chill for the most part. I was worried it might not have enough energy but I can't sit still listening to it. It has a very grown up mature feel to it which feels alien to me (I am after all just a big 48 year old man-child in many ways).I initially wasn't going to release this mix, some of the transitions aren't quite what I'd have liked and I couldn't find a track to end on that brings us back down safely! However, after listening through a couple of times it feels wrong to hold it back when the tunes themselves are cool af. If you are unfamiliar with British rock band The Bevis Frond and its founder, singer/multi-instrumentalist Nick Saloman, you have some serious catching up to do. As Michael Bailey, Norwich City correspondent for The Athletic, disappears for the pitiful reason of his own birthday, episode 98 of On The Ball sees NCFC Numbers digit magnet Steve Sanders host the pod as it tries to swallow that defeat at St Mary's. Joining Steve LIVE are former Norwich head of content and programme editor Dan Brigham plus ITV Anglia broadcast journalist Andy Ward. The crew talks through Norwich City's 2-0 loss at Southampton and this week's double header of an FA Cup tie at Liverpool, before hosting Brentford at Carrow Road in the Premier League. Surely a game they dare not lose?
