Viņa ir četrus gadus veca Austrālijas ganu suņa saimniece. Kad suņa riešana sāka traucēt gan pašiem, gan kaimiņiem, kinologs ieteica suni aizvest uz adžiliti nodarbībām. Lidija Beļajeva iepazīstina ar adžiliti: ir vairāki šķēršļi, dažādas barjeras, bumbas, slaloms, kuras suņiem jāpārvar noteiktā secībā un mēs kā treneri suni vedam cauri trasei noteiktā secībā un pēc iespējas ātrāk. Kurš ātrāk pieveiks bez kļūdām, tas arī uzvar. Šajā veiklības sporta veidā notiek gan vietējās, gan starptautiskas sacensības, ir cilvēki, kuri vienkārši nāk treniņā un nekad nepiedalās sacensībās, vienkārši suņa veselībai, savai veselībai, jo cilvēkam tur arī ir diezgan daudz jāpaskrien. Adžiliti uzlabo cilvēka un suņa savstarpējo kontaktu, jo suns skrien bez pavadas, bez siksnas lielā ātrumā un klausās. "Suņiem patīk skriet. Sākumā var motivēt ar kārumiņu vai mantiņu, kas nu kuram patīk. Pēc tam viņam vienkārši patīk pats process, patīk skriet, patīk piedalīties, kopā ar savu saimnieku kaut ko padarīt. Tad vairāk nevajag ne ar ko motivēt. Viņš atnāk uz laukuma un ir tik motivēts kaut ko darīt, ka tik skrien," stāsta Lidija Beļajeva. Ne visu šķirņu suņi var trenēties, lai piedalītos sacensībās, bet savam priekam piedalīties noteikti var daudzi. "Adžiliti ir kolosāla brīnumtabletīte, kā risināt suņu uzvedības problēmas, bet treniņiem nav jābūt septiņas reizes nedēļā," uzskata Natālija Sokolova. "Mans stāsts, kāpēc es atnācu adžilti, ir saistīts ar to, ka tad, kad tu lasi aprakstu par šķirnes izvēli, tev liekas - man būs visgudrākais suns pasaulē. Tad tu saskaries ar to, ka visgudrākajam sunim pasaulē ir vajadzīga mentāla slodze. Tie, kuri paņem aktīvas suņu šķirnes, kuras ir ar augstu IQ, rēķinieties, ka jums būs jādod mentālā slodze," pieredzē dalās Natālija Sokolova. "Manā gadījumā viss tik perfekti salikās, ka nāca adžilti, bet es sapratu to, ka ir jāiemāca arī paklausības pamati. Jo adžiliti ir par ļoti ciešu kontakta izveidi starp saimnieku un suni, bet bez kaut kādiem pamatiem, ka sunim ir, piemēram, jāpaliek startā, tu nevari to visu izveikt."

Iemesli, kāpēc Latvijas iedzīvotāji tik reti apmeklē bezmaksas profilaktiskās veselības pārbaudes pie sava ģimenes ārsta, ir dažādi. Kā tos mazināt? Risinājumus meklējam raidījumā Kā labāk dzīvot. Analizē ģimenes ārste Katrīna Priede, "Profesora Skrides sirds klīnikas" valdes priekšsēdētāja Jeļena Jesajana un ģimenes ārste, Rīgas Stradiņa universitātes Ģimenes medicīnas katedras docētāja, Metodiskā vadības centra ģimenes medicīnā koordinatore ģimenes medicīnas jautājumos Dārta Puriņa. Jeļena Jesajana maģistra darba ietvaros veica pētījumu, lai noskaidrotu, kas kavē profilaktisko apskašu pie ģimenes ārsta veikšanu. Viņa atzīst, ka primāri tas ir zināšanu trūkums. Daudzi nezina, ka reizi gadā var veikt bezmaksas profilaktisko apskati pie ģimenes ārstā. Bet zināšanas ir saistītas ar profilakses jēgas un nozīmes izpratni. "Daudzi atbildēja – kad būs slikti, iešu pie ārsta, bet arī atklājās, ka liela loma ir ārstam, kamēr ārsts nesaka, ka vajag, cilvēks pats nejūtas daļēji līdzatbildīgs rūpēties par savu veselību," atzīst Jeļena Jesajana. Katrīna Priede skaidro, ka katra prakse, kas to dara [veic profilaktiskās apskate], organizē to atšķirīgi. "Mēs cenšamies uz profilaktiskām apskatēm aiz rokas ķert tos, kas nav kādu laiku bijuši un kaut kādu iemeslu dēļ ienākuši praksē," norāda Katrīna Priede. "Cenšamies gada ietvaros apskatīt maksimāli daudz pacientus profilaktiski, bet būsim godīgi – ir gandrīz nereāli apskatīt visus pacientus reizi gadā." Ģimenes ārsti diskutē, ka vajadzētu pārskatīt profilaktisko apskašu sistēmu Latvijā, jo ir aktuāls jautājums, vai veselam cilvēkam 18 līdz apmēram 35 gadu vecumam, ja viņam nav sūdzību, būtu jāiet pie ģimenes ārsta reizi gadā veikt profilaktisko apskati. Tāpat cilvēkiem ir dažādi priekšstati, ko šī profilaktiskā apskate iekļauj.  Primārā profilakse ir pasargāt no slimības attīstības, kas ietver pretsmēķēšanas politiku un veselīga dzīvesveida reklāmas. Dažādi skrīningi jau ir sekundārā profilakse, kurā cenšas atrast tos, kam slimība ir sākusies, bet ir agrīnā stadijā un vieglāk to ārstēt. Latvijā ir pieejami vēža skrīningi, bet ārstes vērtē, ka vajadzētu skrīningu depresijai un trauksmei, tas, piemēram, notiek Somijā un Lielbritānijā. Arī Latvijā ir aprobēta anketa, kas pieejama Slimību profilakses un kontroles centra mājaslapā. Savukārt senioriem būtu nepieciešams demences skrīnings.
