Is your relationship feeling a little… off? You're not alone. In this episode of Better Relationships After Baby, I'll share three major relationship red flags that I see over and over as a coach. These subtle warning signs might seem small, but if left unaddressed, they can derail even the strongest partnerships. We'll talk about: ✅ How emotional distance can quietly create loneliness in your relationship ✅ Why resentment over unequal responsibilities is so dangerous—and how to stop it ✅ Why quality time and intimacy are non-negotiable (and how to bring them back) You don't need to wait until things feel too far gone to work on your relationship. I'm here to show you how small, intentional steps can help you rebuild connection and turn things around for the new year. Let's make 2025 the year you feel strong, connected, and in love with your partnership again. Jude Currivan is a titan of the joining of science and cosmology who can describe the evolutionary meaning and purpose of life. Her new book, "Gaia, The Big Breath and the Evolutionary Journey of Our Conscious Planet", is a masterpiece of our planets history and how it even got here. It's about the full journey that arrives in our present day as she explains the consciousness of life and our role in a unified future. She's one of the most profound teachers I've interviewed and her words and insights are treasures.
Through centuries of reductionist science, we've come to believe that we live in a random universe. But that old paradigm is beginning to change. Since the advent of quantum physics, we're realizing what the ancient wisdom traditions have always known: we are each an inseparable aspect of the cosmos, with the potential to cocreate a future based in love and awareness. “Take your protein pills and put your helmet on,” fellow spiritual explorers, for this revelatory, provocative, and adventurous podcast with Tami Simon and visionary author Dr. Jude Currivan. You'll learn about supernormal phenomena and “walking between worlds”; the big breath (instead of the big bang); reframing our universe from a great object to a great thought; the exquisite, finely tuned relationships of information we call the laws of physics; the initial simplicity and evolutionary directionality of our universe; the “disease of separation” at the root of human dysfunction; finding purpose as finite beings in a finite universe; the holographic nature of the cosmos; black holes and the event horizon; breakthroughs after breakdowns; the sixth mass extinction and the choice to consciously evolve; the law of love; and more. Aloha and welcome to the Sobriety Rocks Podcast! I'm your host Kirk Waterman, today we talk about Taking a Big Breath of LifeA. J. Green said, “You just have to take a deep breath, relax and let the game come to you.I recently reflected on how much life I lived when I was a kid. From sports to music, art, academics, science, dance, outdoor adventures, hobbies, clubs, debate, social, religion, theater, games, community service, employment, and school government. There wasn't much I didn't do. But, as you look at the timeline of my drinking and using, you see activities slowly disappearing the further into the party lifestyle I fell. Near the end, when my alcoholism and addiction were in full bloom, my participation in life had dwindled to a bare minimum. That's the problem with alcoholism and addiction. They make an empty life, devoid of inspiration and participation, okay for far too long. Thankfully, when they no longer took away the pain of my miserable existence, I was brought to a fellowship of people who absolutely insisted on enjoying life! So, I did what you suggested. I got a sponsor, a home group, a few commitments, and took the steps. All twelve of them. Sure enough, as I did the work in recovery, my life outside of recovery filled with activities faster than I could keep up. Now, as I look back at these 30+ years of recovery, I see that addiction and recovery are opposites. Addiction removed, eliminated, amputated, and stripped away all that was good in my life. Recovery has enhanced, enlarged, enriched, and improved every area of my life. Today I choose recovery! I'm going to keep living, participating as much as I possibly can, and take a big breath of life! How about you?Today we close with a grounding meditation to provide us strength in any situation we may find ourselves. So please get comfortable, close your eyes, take a few slow deep breaths, and join me.I'm Kirk Waterman, thank you for joining us. Jude shares about her childhood and how the loss of her father at the age of 10 led to her taking on a very masculine role within the family dynamic, a role which she continued to play throughout her Physics studies at Oxford University and then in a corporate career. Much later she realised that by neglecting her feminine side, she was shutting herself down and essentially, imprisoning herself. We go on to talk about many fascinating topics including the evolutionary impulse the dance between the masculine and feminine energies The Big Breath (the beginning of our Universe)Dark energy and dark matter the primordial Om - the sound that pulsed our Universe into beingthe Cosmic Mind, harmonic resonance and quadriviumthe science of love Jude makes me want to study physics! Ep #214 - Unified Understanding – An Interview with author and cosmologist, Dr. Jude Currivan My guest for this episode of Empowering Chats is with Dr. Jude Currivan. Jude wears many hats and has a very impressive list of accomplishments. Including a Masters in Physics and a PhD in Archaeology. She is also a cosmologist and an author. Her latest book The Story of Gaia, The Big Breath and the Evolutionary Journey of Our Conscious Plant explores how the Universe, our planet (Gaia), ourselves and everything in existence has inherent meaning and evolutionary purpose. Jude shares in great detail why she went with the phrase “Big Breath” instead of “Big Bang.” According to Jude the “Big Breath” took place some 13.8 billion years ago, and it was not a “Big Bang,” it began at its tiniest state. Bang, for most people means, chaos or a very loud noise. Whereas Jude explains the earth began with incredible order and was a very fine-tuned event. Jude goes on to express that she felt “Big Breath” on many levels describes the reality of an on-going big breath where space is expanded. Our universe, she says, has existed and evolved through this big breath. It reflects the ancient wisdom of the out-breath or Prana (the Indian word for breath) and on many levels we now know we have the evidence to support the wisdom teaching perspective. Jude goes on to explain that “The Story of Gaia,” is a book that shows the beautiful expression of the life of Gaia, of Earth. It's an encouraging story of love and it's not a scary story. This one is an expansive story about growth and evolution for the planet and for our souls. And that's the reality of what we have. Jude goes on to say that we've been taught a world view of the Universe that is without meaning or purpose and one of separation. And we now have evidence that expands beyond that to a Universe that is a living, thriving, conscious universe that has an innate meaning. And all of us are connected and therefore we are being invited to wake-up and see how we are all connected. The joy for Jude as a cosmologist is there is now evidence that Unity is our existential foundation and it is a reality. Mental Health Summit was kicked off this year with a guided meditation led by William Meyer. We brought the recording here for you. It's a great way to start your day or take a mindful moment in the middle of your day. William Meyer is the author of “Big Breath” and “Healing Breath” - Calm your worries and build your bravery — or just relax during a busy day or wind down before bed with these two picture books. All day long, you breathe — in and out, in and out — without even thinking about it. But did you know that you can play with your breath, use it to take you on an adventure? All you have to do is find a comfy spot and close your eyes. Does your breath sound like ocean waves? Like the wind before a storm or a breeze at the start of spring? Can you feel it all the way down to the tips of your toes? By the time you open your eyes, you might just feel a little lighter, calmer, more relaxed. Bill Meyer is also the author of two adventure chapter books for kids. He also published a guide for meditation in the classroom called, Three Breaths and Begin. He holds degrees from Dartmouth, Harvard and has a PhD from NYU in Education. More about the Host - Dr. Karin Jakubowski is an elementary public school principal and certified life coach. Have you ever felt like there is something wrong with the story you have been told? Like something is profoundly off with the worldview that has been taught to us? You are not alone. More and more of us feel like we have been given a false and outdated narrative, about ourselves, the Universe and our place in it. And today we are at a point where cutting edge new science AND ancient spiritual wisdom are merging, offering us a new understanding of reality that can guide the human family, the individual and collective consciousness to evolve, leading us out of dis-ease and to the healing of humanity and the planet. Separation is an illusion and the story of separation we have been told for the last few thousand years is at the root of many of the issues we are facing now. This episode's guest, Dr. Jude Currivan is a cosmologist, futurist and planetary healer and she joins us today to talk about the essential nature of the Universe and how cosmic unity permeates every level of existence, from the atomic, to the personal, to the galactic. Jude holds a PhD in Archeology from the University of Reading and a Masters Degree in Physics from Oxford University specializing in Cosmology and Quantum Physics. She is the co-founder of Whole World View and she is the author of six non-fiction books. Her latest, The Cosmic Hologram is the first of the Transformation trilogy. The second book in the series, GAIA: Her-Story, will be published this fall. The emerging realization that unity is the foundation of all being will profoundly impact humanity in the years to come, providing hope and inspiration that we can evolve and transform the world. In this episode with Jude Currivan, you'll discover: -Why the old paradigm of how we view the Universe is fundamentally flawed...04:16 -Recent discoveries in the scientific community that corroborate Jude's worldview...08:20 -Fractal patterns that define our existence...15:25 -The beginning of the Universe was a Big Breath, not a "big bang"...20:10 -Reconnect to the story of meaning on an individual level to help the collective heal...23:46 -"Show me the evidence"...27:24 -How we can embrace the non-local intelligence of the universe...31:21 -Healing past trauma by connecting with Gaia, the Earth...35:11 -A world of separation is a world in need of healing...38:40 -Thinking cosmic, feeling global, acting local...42:44 Resources mentioned: WEBSITES https://www.wholeworld-view.org (Whole World View) https://www.evolutionaryleaders.net (Evolutionary Leaders) BOOKS https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JM2XGKW/ (The Cosmic Hologram) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0052XSEXU/ (HOPE: Healing Our People & Earth) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004AM771O/ (The 8th Chakra: What It Is And How It Can Transform Your Life)

Trent University alumnus Richard Harrison ’76 has been named the winner of the 2017 Governor General's Literary Award for Poetry for On Not Losing My Father's Ashes in the Flood, published by Hamilton's Wolsak & Wynn. It was the latest honour for the book, which also won the Stephan G. Stephansson Award for Poetry and the third prize for poetry in the 2017 Alcuin Society's Book Design Awards. On Not Losing My Father's Ashes in the was also shortlisted for the City of Calgary's 2016 W.O. Mitchell Book Prize and a finalist for the poetry category of the High Plains Book Awards. We caught up with Richard for a Skype interview to discuss the award. The conversation ranged from the nature of the Canadian literary voice to the poetry of hockey to how Trent helped shape his career. Of his award winning collection, he noted: “There is a pause moment, where many of the things I started 40 years ago [while at Trent] have now come to this point. And in some senses there is completion here.” Harrison credits former Lady Eaton College Principal Douglas McCalla and faculty members Orm Mitchell and Michael Peterman for hosting readings and introducing him to writers such as Patrick Lane, Robert Kroetsch, Susan Musgrave, Margaret Laurence, and Adele Wiseman. He found the experience of listening to Patrick Lane read in the Sr. Common Room so powerful that it led him to try his own hand at creative writing. He also credits Trent with helping feed his curiosity and creativity. “Trent was small enough – and the faculty were friendly enough, not just in their discipline, but across disciplines. They were understanding of the nature of inquiry and allowed me to let inquiry lead me to where it wanted to go. And they encouraged me all the time to keep going. My professors understood that what I was doing was looking for a lifetime’s work, and that this was how I would find it.” He looks back to academic movements such as those found in Trent’s Canadian Studies programs as being intergral to helping Canada focus on their own unique stories and their own unique literature – something he says has benefited him and his writing. Richard Harrison’s eight books include the Governor General’s Award–finalist Big Breath of a Wish, and Hero of the Play, the first book of poetry launched at the Hockey Hall of Fame. He teaches English and Creative Writing at Calgary’s Mount Royal University, a position he took up after being the Distinguished Writer-in-Residence at the University of Calgary in 1995. His work has been published, broadcast and displayed around the world, and his poems have been translated into French, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic.
In this week's episode Jude Currivan speaks with Joanna about: a mystic and scientist walking between the worlds; the Universe, a coherent, unified entity; we are microcosmic co-creators; all reality has a purpose and a meaning; celebrating the diversity of oneness; children of Gaia; divine sparks of the cosmic fire; a dynamic, patterned in-formation of the world; the Big Breath; through the birth pains of a new awareness of reality; an ancient, poetic description of fractals; empowerment from a place of transpersonal awareness and compassion; consciousness and information are taking center stage.
