Whoa that's a lot of 2s, but don't worry we're here to talk about owning Kevin O'Leary, PP heads, Jim Crowe Remastered, Nic Cage Spider-Man, LA Noire movie, Diddy Kong's redesign, French Canadian cartoons, Bakugan Battle Brawlers, Yu Gi Oh wars, wishing you were in the Chaotix world, Zatch Bell child fighter, every McDonald's toy, ruining Yu-gi-oh tournaments , shitty Sonic handhelds, Russian McDonald's rebranding, The Chocolate Rain Guy, The List of YouTubers, Boogie's pain, stopping video games, Chinese Minecraft, omega level mutants, JFK spoilers, after school charisma, the Death of a Salesman video game, Flinstones suicide, Israeli Jetsons, Pro-Gaza ice cream, and Napoleon's dick stank. We are really acting out in this one.
Welcome to the next level in 32X World! The gang is taking a little detour to Sega's ill-fated add-on and reaching into the Combi-Catcher to pull out the bizarre little side story that is Knuckles' Chaotix. With its unique ring band gameplay system, it is genuinely unlike any other Sonic game...but is that necessarily a good thing? Join us in the Newtrogic High Zone to find out! What goes up must come down, and nowhere is that more true than with our latest topic as the gang looks back at the series' first major multiplatform release, Sonic Heroes! This follow-up to the Adventure duology had a lot of interesting ideas that stumbled in execution thanks to an infamously troubled development cycle, and is seen by many as the start of the series' downfall. Can our hosts sort through their mixed feelings and find this game's redeeming qualities, or is even the real super power of teamwork not enough to salvage this one? Knuckles' Chaotix is the only game that could possibly embody the sheer awkwardness of the Sega 32X. It stars Knuckles and his shitty friends as they attempt to stop Dr. Robotnik from doing something I guess. The problem is, Knuckles is bound to his co-op partner by a stretchy energy band, which makes doing "Sonic" stuff impossible. But they still expect you to do Sonic stuff.
How embarrassed would Dave be, do you think, if he talked at length about a man who drives a boat, but didn't realise that man invented Postman Pat? Find out! Also: Citadel Robotnik! Sonic on his hols! Emperor Metallix! Sac Magique! The joint is hoppin'!

The prodigal co-host returns, and with him a whole slew of relatively questionable video games! After we're done covering the topics everyone has been talking about – some Crash Bandicoot runner, a sleazy '90s FMV game, and Tekken 6's cooperative campaign –, we turn our attention to less trodden paths. That's right, we break new ground with revolutionary talk on From Software as well as a little game series we have affectionately dubbed Super Mario. Brogan spearheads both as he reports from his research into From's history by exploring their early years with the King's Field series and then proceeds to beat his co-host to the punch on finally breaching the matter of 3D World + Bowser's Fury. Pavlos, meanwhile, got sidetracked by Risk of Rain 2, an exciting sequel to 2013's indie roguelike hit and an all-around multiplayer delight. The game of the week is one near and dear to our heart, warts and all. Knuckles' Chaotix is an experimental co-op focused Sonic spin-off for Sega's Mega Drive add-on, the 32X, and a pretty successful first outing for a relatively inexperienced (not-Sonic Team) team that mostly just fails in one major way: the level design. As we are happy to break down, most other aspects are top notch, particulary the stylish art and animation as well as the evocative soundtrack, or at least fun in an interesting way, like the central conceit of the tether mechanic that lets you zoom around the (sadly, mostly empty) levels in exhilarating fashion. And then there's the mystery of Charmy's surname. A comparison of Chaotix to Knuckles' blue rival's adventure from the year before, Sonic CD, becomes the subject of much debate and, dare we say, elicits a hot take or two along the way. As we table this contended subject for another day, we bid our Chaotix friends farewell and hope that they return one day. Up now on our adventures is another title which teeters on being a Sonic game, but it's hard to deny the game's place in our lineup considering all the ties it holds with the blue blur himself, even bearing in mind his absence in the title. We're of course talking about Knuckles' Chaotix and its older, buggier counterpart: Sonic Crackers. Despite the interesting background behind it, Knuckles' Chaotix isn't exactly the most beloved entry in the franchise but its soundtrack holds a place in the hearts of many Sonic fans. So come and join cdrom as he discusses the only 32X title on our journey!
Talking all about the Volume 3 of the Sonic the Hedgehog IDW comic book run. Ending the first arc of the blue blur tale with a showdown on Angel Island with Neo Metal Sonic. Do you think in a classic sonic book, such as the minisseries IDW announced that IIRC hasn't been confirmed whether you're writing it or not, but do you think they'd allow the Chaotix to appear? Or would the use of the classic Chaotix cause too much conflict with the modern interpretations? It's a double feature this month! On the SEGA side, we've got 32X action with Knuckles' Chaotix in the book club, but if you're more of a Nintendo fan you might enjoy our look at issue #1 of brand new unofficial Nintendo magazine, Ninty Fresh! Also join us for some general magazine chat, see if you can beat Tibbs' score in the Mario quiz, and we'll discuss the ill-fated Mega Drive 32X console too. Sonic Heroes features a total of 12 playable characters including a trio from Knuckles' Chaotix. No matter how many characters there are though, this one might not stand the test of time. Next episode's game(s): Sonic Advance 3 ____________________________________ The No Spin Dash Zone is a podcast series where three friends with a long running history with Sonic play through each game in the franchise in the order they were released. We play through a game or two each week and then get together every Friday to discuss how we felt about what we played. We take a casual, but granular approach to the games we cover and we try to keep our conversations between an hour or two. This time, the goblins are coming for the TCG industry! Watch out Magic, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and... uh... Chaotix... because not only are these goblins terribly good at creating lore, but they are also AMAZING at destroying industries. So... take that... Our theme music is J'accuse by Mucca Pazza, composed by David E. Smith! They were generous enough to let us use the song, and we can't thank them enough! Go check out their website, as they are amazing!! http://www.muccapazza.com
Chegamos no segundo episódio da nossa série "trinca"! Dessa vez o Caio escolheu três jogos que talvez não dessem um episódio completo, e que além de tudo tem uma coisa em comum. E aí, qual a relação entre Kid Dracula, Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel e Knuckles' Chaotix?
The Blue Zone is back for more Knuckles! On this episode, we'll be taking a look at Knuckles' Chaotix, the game that's considered by many as the "black sheep" of Sonic games, and hear the Top 5 songs from this game, voted by you! Also, Jamie (AKA Mr.Wonderman) will test his SonicEducation at The Blue Zone's Super Sonic Quiz!
