In this episode of the SNES Podcast, we look at a very unique game -- Sparkster! This game is the SNES version -- but not a port -- of Konami's famous Rocket Knight Adventures for the Genesis and also not the same game as the sequel on that system (as if the naming scheme wasn't confusing enough.) We discuss this game and how it differs from the Genesis entries, where you can get the game today, and how it holds up. Any questions, comments, etc can be left on our FB page or e-mailed to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and as always thanks for your support! The SNES Podcast is proud to be part of the Geekade network! Show Notes On this week's podcast, it's time for the February 10 20 30 40, where Dan and Kris discuss notable game releases from 10, 20, 30, and 40 years ago. February may not be the biggest month in gaming, but there were a couple of platforms that made the best of it with releases like Metroid: Zero Mission, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sparkster, and more. But weirdly enough, no Atari 2600 games? Of course, they kinda had to blow through the feature topic segment because they spent so much time talking during the first part of the show, but sometimes that's just the way things go, right? At the top of the show, Kris has more dental issues which were “solved” quickly and painfully. Dentistry is awesome! Plus, did you know Dan still has too many dogs? There was also a way-too-long and incredibly nerdy discussion of the state of the MCU that no doubt went on for far longer than anyone wants to listen to. You have our apologies, but Dan and Kris are colossal nerds. There's really nothing they can do about it. Also, Kris beat Advance Wars and played more Metal Gear, while Dan tried to play Karate Kid in preparation for next month's Soup-er Series. In Week Old News, Dan brought a super annoying Smash JT video to our attention where he called out Pat the NES Punk's SCANDALOUS SCAM that proves he's a TERRIBLE HYPOCRITE OUT TO STEAL YOUR MONEY! So really, there's not an ounce of hyperbole in this one, and it's definitely worth the time and energy to listen to. There was also a NintendoDirect to go through, complete with impressions on Contra: Operation Galuga and Pepper Grinder, Nintendo is simultaneously doomed and the richest company in Japan, and more! The hottest #CryptoRumours #CryptoGossip and #CryptoNews in under 5 mins you'll find today! Hi, I'm Ben Bob, and welcome to Fun with Crypto, with me, Ben Bob! Now, we're gonna have a lot of fun today, looking at some crypto headlines and gossip, and whether you're looking for your next big shitcoin, or you're just sitting back, all comfy in your armchair and watching along with the fun, remember, this isn't financial advices…. So we're gonna start by spreading the greens, as we look at the charts… oh, well now that can't be right… it's all red… Well in more pleasant warm yellla tones… it seems our friends gamestop are getting their pretty little fingers into the web3 wallet pie… following Robinhood as well, ain;t that nice, apparently GameStop launched a self-custodial Ethereum wallet in beta mode Wwell, we need a little bleuy in there too now, so let's see here, over the past weekend the Sparkster wallets from the 2018 ICO scam became active for the first time in ~3 years swapping 14,200 ETH for $22.7m USDC across 5 wallets. And how';s about some purple to add some real pleasant playfulness to the picture here, as well as keeping Ben's employers happy, the Everscale Everpoint Bali meetup was covered in the Bloomberg… they all had a good time, that's for sure, so check the article to learn more ya'll… And why not complete the pic with some dirty old muddy Do Kwon goodness to fill in the blanks here… seems that Luna jumped 40% today, but even after he gave the people lotsa reassuring words about burn addresses, they're still launching the class action law suits. We can only hope everyone finds a way to get along now can;t we… And here's a happy little bright pink smile, apparently 12% of US people, like me, used crypto to buy something last year. I know I had a good time! And shoot…. We got a finished show. If you prefer me to Ben or Hunter, who weirdly I happened to be very good friends with in real actual life… then leave a little like and maybe even a comment, so I know you had a good time…. Bye now… --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/nevermindtheshitcoins/message

In episode twenty-six of Attack the Backlog, Marc ricochets off walls and sometimes falls in Rocket Knight, an action platformer where you play as Sparkster, an opossum who likes rocket jumping and sword thrusting, exactly what you'd expect from a rocket knight. Rocket Knight is not a reboot, but a sequel to the Sega Genesis game Sparkster: Rocket Knight Adventures 2 and originally came out on May 11th, 2010 and is currently available on PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One (via backward compatibility), and PC. Anyway, something-something jumpy and never clunky, cheers and enjoy the show. Anyway, that's it and that's all folks. If you're feeling extra generous, you can become a patron, donate a little something-something, or subscribe to show your support for the site, the plentiful podcasts, the various videos, the absurd art, and all of the other nonsense we make over here at Pixelated Sausage. Thanks for being a fan.

Time for some classic Sega side-scrollers featuring anthropomorphic animals! No, not those. The other ones. No, the OTHER other ones. No, not-- you know what, forget it.
I visit the Crypto Castle Miami to do an interview with crypto legend Jeremy Gardner. Diego, Sam and I reflect on how poorly Sparkster has performed, what we've learned from the whole ordeal and how we plan to not have this situation happen again.
The long-awaited AMA session with my audience is finally here. I go through various updates related to Sparkster, MetaHash, our Token Metrics App, and many more topics while answering people's questions.
After being told we constantly nag on the Sega Genesis system for it's... interesting sound, we picked a game this week that at the very least has a very solid soundtrack, Rocket Knight Adventures! This was one of Konami's Genesis exclusives, and it led to several sequels that were on multiple platforms, but how well does does Sparkster's initial journey hold up? We played through the game to find out. Also discussed, some new Switch downloadable titles, the just announced Konami classic collections, and most importantly -- Taco Bell orders. Want to get right to the game? Then charge up your attack, and rocket over to the 11 minute mark! __________________________ If you enjoy this podcast, why not write a review wherever you download it from? We then get topical regarding the gun reform movement and how the discussion on violent video games has been dredged up from decades past. Then join us for a discussion on how online only games should be preserved. The Stage of History this week welcomes the sword-spinning Kid Niki: Radical Ninja, and the street-brawling Final Fight. Welcome one and all to 2018 with Video Game Grooves! In our inaugural episode for the year, we invite Aaron Hamel from ShiptoShore Media to kick things off! Ganbatte everyone and all that! We begin our game-music-on-vinyl-records journey with the news since our last show! A few new records are available, and even a couple of curious releases! How hard will our collective wallet be hit in the new year? Our features section kicks off with Bastion by Supergiant Games! This acclaimed 2011 soundtrack saw its vinyl release last year, and Jeremy explores the themes of restoration and "swampy guitar", and invents a super-hyphenated genre classification to finally place the Darren Korb score where it belongs on the shelf in our hearts. For our second pick, Aaron helps us explore the oft-overlooked music of Rocket Knight Adventures, for the Genesis/Megadrive. Unfortunately given main character Sparkster's mascot status and the trends on consoles at the time, this is probably one of the best games you've never played. Join Fred and Jam on a journey through a true Sega classic.

A guerra é divertida? Cannon Fodder é RTS? Qual a melhor versão de Sparkster/Rocket Knight? Quem tinha o melhor som: PCs ou consoles? Deixe o seu comentário, amigo gamer.
