President of the nonprofit organization Color Us United, Kenny Xu, joins Jeff to discuss the recent Supreme Court Ruling as a lead insider on the Harvard Students for Fair Admissions vs. Harvard case.
Why The Uproar About The Latest SCOTUS Rulings? There's nothing like a little Supreme Court action these days to get the masses all riled up. In these polarized and divisive times, would you expect any less. While approximately 70% of the American public believes that race should not play a part in college admissions, many on social and within the main stream media would have you believe that an "illegitimate court" is setting the clocks back to the colonial days. I think nuances within concepts like contract law and freedom of association can be disagreed upon by reasonable people, but much of what I've seen in recent days is anything but reasonable. Why the uproar about the latest SCOTUS rulings? For this incredible conversation, I've invited back my friend Christian Watson!Christian is a recently graduated philosophy student and political writer with a keen interest in political and social commentary. You may have seen Christian on one of his many appearances on Fox News. According to journalist and author Kenny Xu, progressives fail to grasp the importance of merit in academic admissions and degree conferral, particularly in medicine. While Xu supports the long-held liberal ideal of equal opportunity through education, he argues that the university is not the place to address group achievement gaps. Instead, educational interventions need to begin much earlier—ideally in kindergarten. In this conversation, Peter Boghossian and Xu discuss holistic admissions vs. merit in medicine, overcoming “diversity statements,” calculating competence, the elevation of kindness over data, discrimination against Asian students, what the SAT measures, why merit requires objectivity, the humility of the scientific method, the unsustainability of “kind lies,” violence against Asians, and much more.Kenny Xu is a journalist, author, and president of Color Us United, a non-profit organization advocating for a race-blind America. His forthcoming book is School of Woke: How Critical Race Theory Infiltrated American Schools and Why We Must Reclaim Them (August 1, 2023). Kenny Xu joins Peter and Eric on The Drill Down to talk about the dark side of “diversity and inclusion” efforts in America's schools and universities. It's a subject he knows very well as an Asian American who is president of a nonprofit group called “Color Us United.” Kenny, 25, is also the author of the fascinating book, An Inconvenient Minority: The Harvard Admissions Case and the Attack on Asian American Excellence, which takes a deep dive into that dark side at what was once America's premier university. In the case of Harvard, it shows up in a hazy admissions metric that no one at the university can really explain known as the “personality score.”

Dom Giordano, WPHT host and former teacher, has dedicated much of his daily show toward parents who are taking it into their own hands to push back against school boards that have a negative impact on their children. This has culminated in a weekly podcast on education, Readin', Writin', and Reason, which has allowed wonderful relationships to develop between Giordano, educators, and parents throughout the country who are speaking out against overbearing school boards. First, Dom welcomes Washington Examiner and longtime friend of the show Chris Tremoglie back onto the podcast. This week, Tremoglie was sent some student preparatory material from West Chester University, which prompted an article in the Washington Examiner. Tremoglie tells of some material centered on diversity and equity, which he explains as a presentation of the 6 stages of white identity, alleging that the material tries teaching white students to hate themselves. Tremoglie notes that this is one of many examples of radical ideology infusing into universities, telling of his surprise that it has now descended upon West Chester University. Then, Dom welcomes in Kenny Xu, author of ‘An Inconvenient Minority: The Attack on Asian American Excellence and the Fight for Meritocracy' and President of Color Us United, to the podcast. Kenny has been on the show multiple times to offer his commentary on the ongoing Supreme Court case looking into affirmative action and admissions in colleges, such as Harvard University, and whether Asian-Americans have been discriminated against in the name of equity. Xu offers his opinion on what he considers to be incredibly discriminatory practices, and tells Giordano about a cottage industry that's developed to teach Asian students how to hide their identity when applying to schools in hopes that they get selected.

Then, Oz and Giordano spend some time on both the topics of crime and inflation, with Oz laying forth why he's the correct candidate to help dig us out of the hole dug by Democrats in Washington. Then, Giordano and Dr. Oz preview an upcoming rally that Dom will host in Pennsburg on Monday, with more information at DoctorOz.com.
